This is a delightful smaller chateau with spacious rooms filled with light from the tall windows. We stayed in the accessible room on the ground floor. It was thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable. The lights were bright enough for reading at night, the wifi was excellent, and there were many places to recharge devices. Water/coffee/tea was available in the room. The breakfast spread was vast including fresh bread/croissants, hams, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereal, and pastries. The host/chef brought out crepes each morning, and also offered to prepare eggs/bacon as one wished. On the table were multiple choices of jams, spreads, etc. and all the jams were homemade from fruits on the property. The property has a lovely lawn with chairs to enjoy the sun. It is worth taking a short walk to the old tower at the corner of the lawn, and also down to the orchard. But if you do it early in the morning, as I did, you may come back with very wet shoes from the dew!

Absolutely exceptional. The room was amazing with a conservatory and a sitting room included, with kettle and teas. The bed was very comfortable and the grounds were very beautiful. The lovely owner was friendly and even made us crepes for breakfast with caramel sauce. I'm so pleased I stayed here. Very close to Bayeux, which is a pretty town. Wish I'd stayed longer. Thank you and don't change a thing

Nice safe parking. Impressive looking Chateaux with lovely gardens with orchard. Really relaxing feel. Our room was exceptional very spacious, comfortable bed, lovely seating area. Good shower over the bath. Nice glass view over the garden. Coffee / tea facility restricted, kettle, coffee sachet only 2 and tea bags with long life milk. I feel sure if we had asked the owners would have provided fresh milk. I did notice on leaving that there was a fridge on the ground floor hallway, not sure if that was for guests use or not. Breakfast was really good great selection and the owner was really accomodating with choice. Our car broke down and while waiting for the breakdown service. The owners very kindly dropped us off in Bayeaux over the next two days.

Each table had a complement of 6 homemade jams, coffee, a thermos of hot water for tea, and juice. Be sure to take a walk around the grounds to see the old tower, and also the orchard where the host collects the fruit for the jams.

My husband & I absolutely loved this place. The host was amazingly helpful and friendly. A lovely room in a beautiful property surrounded by lovely well kept grounds. The fab breakfast (loads of it) was included in the price which was already fantastic value. Top tip; If you’d like to eat dinner here you have to book it with the host before arrival or first thing in the morning (it smelt amazing). Only 1 negative which isn’t a deal breaker for us was the squeaking floor boards. We will definitely stay here when we visit again.

O banheiro impecável com banheira de hidromassagem, tem secador de cabelos, amenidades, toalhas limpinhas e com secador para ficarem quentinhas. Tudo com muito cuidado e esmero. E uma sala anexa ao quarto que dá para o jardim com uma vista espetacular.

What a unique stay at this amazing property! The owner greeted us upon arrival and immediately made us feel welcome after a long day of travel and jet lag. He even got up early to prepare an incredible breakfast before our excursion complete with fresh crepes and all the toppings, plus a delicious homemade omelet. There was also an impressive selection of other classic French breakfast items. The Château itself was spotless, peaceful, and full of charm and to top it off, you can even enjoy a game of pool downstairs. An unforgettable experience, highly recommend!

I think the property offers a very good value. The rooms are basic but clean and they provide a bountiful breakfast. The dining table and the accoutrement on them are slightly sticky, but we enjoyed a lovely home cooked meal of crepes, eggs your way and bacon, plus all the baked goods you can eat. The grounds are lush and have a medieval defense tower which was very picturesque.

Everything was homemade - jam, apple juice, pastry, crepes - and it was all delicious. The rooms were also immaculate! A very comfortable night's sleep in a lovely traditional room overlooking the garden, with an extra bed for our daughter and a large bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with a wonderful choice including fresh fruit, juices, continental buffet and additional options of eggs and bacon / crepes which were cooked to order. Friendly hosts in such a beautiful and peaceful setting and only a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Bayeux. Overall, excellent value for money and we'd definitely return, hopefully for longer next time. Highly recommended.

Lovely character properly, well located for Bayeux. Rgoom was ground floor and very spacious. Bed was super king size, a little hard for our liking yt perfectly acceptable.. We didn't arrange an evening meal though spoke to other's who said it was excellent Would recommend staying here. .

The owner does it all and is welcoming and accommodating and even cooks your breakfast in the morning.The property is a bit of a faded rose, but if you don’t mind old furniture and creaky floors, the place oozes with the charm of an old estate. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a diversion from a typical hotel and would like to be in the countryside just minutes from Bayeux.

We had a lovely stay. The owners were very nice and helpful and made an extra effort to provide me with gluten-free crepes at breakfast. The rest of the breakfast was also excellent. I would recommend it and will stay there again if I am in the area.

We loved everything about our stay. The location, the history, the breakfast. Vincent and Corrine were very gracious hosts. Vincent recommended a few restaurants nearby for dinner and he even made the reservations! He also cooked dinner for us one night that we think was the best meal we had. He is a very good chef. They really made it feel like a home away from home. If we ever return to the Bayeux area, we wouldn`t think of staying anywhere else.

Nice safe parking. Impressive looking Chateaux with lovely gardens with orchard. Really relaxing feel. Our room was exceptional very spacious, comfortable bed, lovely seating area. Good shower over the bath. Nice glass view over the garden. Coffee / tea facility restricted, kettle, coffee sachet only 2 and tea bags with long life milk. I feel sure if we had asked the owners would have provided fresh milk. I did notice on leaving that there was a fridge on the ground floor hallway, not sure if that was for guests use or not. Breakfast was really good great selection and the owner was really accomodating with choice. Our car broke down and while waiting for the breakdown service. The owners very kindly dropped us off in Bayeaux over the next two days.

A fantastic stay at Chateau Damigny. Our hosts Vincent and Corinne were exceptional…friendly,welcoming and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Vincent is a talented chef …the food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The Château is extremely peaceful and enjoys extensive grounds. Just outside of Bayeux , the Château is well placed for visiting Bayeux ,the D-Day landing beaches and other attractions in the area. There is a large amount of tourist information readily available at the Château. We are already looking forward to a return visit.

Located in a remote private area. Our first impressions on arrival alterered our experiemce and stay but I would rather not comment so not to embarrass the owners. There is no reatuarant so we went to the a village approximately 9km away and it was okay. Our room was bug a spacious althought there is no curtains in the conservatory so you can be seen when walking to the bathroom.

A very comfortable night's sleep in a lovely traditional room overlooking the garden, with an extra bed for our daughter and a large bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with a wonderful choice including fresh fruit, juices, continental buffet and additional options of eggs and bacon / crepes which were cooked to order. Friendly hosts in such a beautiful and peaceful setting and only a 10-15 minute drive from the centre of Bayeux. Overall, excellent value for money and we'd definitely return, hopefully for longer next time. Highly recommended.

Beautiful small chateaux within an easy 10 minutes of the center of Bayeux. The host was very helpful. His breakfast buffet was plentiful with many choices of fresh breads, pastries, hams, cheeses, fresh fruits, yogurt, cereals, etc. A plate of warm crepes was brought to the table, and an offer to cook eggs, bacon, or omelette. Each table had a complement of 6 homemade jams, coffee, a thermos of hot water for tea, and juice. Be sure to take a walk around the grounds to see the old tower, and also the orchard where the host collects the fruit for the jams.

Lovely character properly, well located for Bayeux. Rgoom was ground floor and very spacious. Bed was super king size, a little hard for our liking yt perfectly acceptable.. We didn't arrange an evening meal though spoke to other's who said it was excellent Would recommend staying here. .

Melhor hotel da vida. O Vicent é maravilhoso.O café da manhã com panquecas, omeletes e tudo mais. Tudo fresquinho e muito apetitoso. Os quartos são completos com taças p vinho, copinhos, máquina de café, chaleira para água quente pra fazer chá. O banheiro impecável com banheira de hidromassagem, tem secador de cabelos, amenidades, toalhas limpinhas e com secador para ficarem quentinhas. Tudo com muito cuidado e esmero. E uma sala anexa ao quarto que dá para o jardim com uma vista espetacular.

We loved everything about our stay. The location, the history, the breakfast. Vincent and Corrine were very gracious hosts. Vincent recommended a few restaurants nearby for dinner and he even made the reservations! He also cooked dinner for us one night that we think was the best meal we had. He is a very good chef. They really made it feel like a home away from home. If we ever return to the Bayeux area, we wouldn`t think of staying anywhere else.

The Place is as it is shown. Large rooms and a warm welcome. Breakfasts? You are spoilt for choice. The only downside is that there is no evening meal available. With extensive grounds and a robot lawnmower that seems not to cut very much, it is a great place to unwind. Beware the loose gravel drive (it had just been laid) if you are on two wheels.

This property was absolutely beautiful and quaint. We stayed in the Catherine suite which had its own private green room. It was a real treat! I enjoyed listening to the rain and sipping tea in the early morning in the green room. Our shower was fantastic and the bathroom was newly remodeled. The property has a lot of history and preserves the charm of a real French country Chateau. The grounds are gorgeous and our hosts allowed us to spend the evening exploring the park and fruit orchard. Breakfast was great, it included the best apple juice I’ve ever had (because the best apples grow in this region) crepes, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereal, meats, cheeses, fruits, croissants, breads, etc. The experience of staying in a Chateau that once belong to a Marquis and has so much history, with such beautiful grounds, is so much better than any hotel. We loved our stay, and the hosts work hard to make it comfortable and welcoming. Merci!
