Noma Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at Noma hotel, the staff were very helpful and the room was modern and clean. However, some facilities lacked maintenance such as the bathroom tap being loose, some lights not working, the sun light window roofing not opening and the safe not working. We also noticed that they did not have any laundry services despite stating that they do on the website. Overall we were happy with our stay for 2 nights.

The listing says it has laundry but it does not. Older hotel so you can hear people walking up the staircase. Some rooms are only accessible by stairs so not good if you have big or heavy bags. They don’t give you the code for the door before arrival so we were stuck outside a few minutes.

Det hyggeligste hotel midt i hjertet af Athen centrum. Vi boede i suiten med tilhørende terrasse med spa, og det var helt fantastisk. Vi havde den sødeste vært, som tog imod os med åbne arme, smilende og hjælpsom. Det eneste minus var at vi kunne lugte cigaret røg, sikkert via en ventilation, og så var der en del støj ligeledes fra ventilationen, og så var det et kirketårn der ringede tidligt om morgenen. Men klart 10 ug af 10. Hvis vi kommer tilbage til Athen, vil vi bo på samme hotel.

Liked central location and accessibility. Room was a bit on the small side and there was no communal area to chill and relax.

Hotel in the heart of Plaka with a modern twist. Older building that has been transformed into a hotel. It's a 5-minute walk from Monastiraki Metro, and yet mostly quiet (except for church bells) and safe (with main door code). A generous breakfast is available at the restaurant next door. Not ideal if you have a car, as parking in that area is difficult. Great small hotel with friendly staff. Mini bar and coffee ($) in the room. We loved our stay.

Virkelig dejligt og hyggeligt hotel. Super flinke ansatte og lækre værelser med masser af stemning. Nb. Mange trapper men også elevator.

The man greeting us at check in was not very pleasant, but the overall stay was fine. pros: great location, clean room, inexpensive, unique hotel cons: items had not been fixed that were broken (bathroom door handle), they charged for water bottles in the room, no complementary ammeneties,

Noma Hotel ligger i en meget gammel bygning. Lobby området er så lille, at det er klaustrofobisk. Der er trappetrin alle vegne, som bagagen skal løftes op og ned af. Vi havde bestilt suiten med egen jacuzzi på øverste etage og fik hjælp til at få bagagen bragt op i den lille elevator. Suiten var som sådan meget lækker. Igen dog med trappetrin! Tre trappetrin for at komme “op” til sengen og tre andre trappetrin for at komme “ned” til brusebadet. Så suiten er kun for godt gående mennesker. Vi savnede meget en skraldespand på værelset. Til gengæld var det dejligt med bord og stole på terrassen, for ikke at tale om de to store sækkestole.

Modern hotel, superb restaurant!

Location is ideal, walkable to sights and dining. Our room specifically had a sewage stench coming from the bathroom and shower. Towels smelled moldy. Unfortunately we found and were bitten by a bed bug on the second night of the stay.

This was genuinely our worst hotel experience so far. The photos look so nice, but the reality felt quite scammy. The room has nice design and should be so pretty, but it’s fallen into major disrepair. The shower is moldy along the edges, leaks a flood even when the door is totally closed, and there is a warped board that’s clearly from the leaking. The whole place felt dingy. When we got out of the shower, we discovered that our towels all smelled like mildew. Nothing to be done about that at that point, but when we went to bed we noticed the pillows had the same gross smell. My husband was able to exchange them for ones that were, thankfully, not moldy smelling. The front desk guy was helpful enough, but he gave us the pillows and pillow cases separately so we had to put them in ourselves. Fine for maybe an apartment rental, but certainly not a 150€ “luxury” hotel room. Then we discovered that there was only one sheet on the bed to sleep with. We asked for a real blanket, and he brought one, but again we had to put the blanket in the duvet cover. Not very luxurious to only sleep with one little sheet. The guy also recommended that we turn the mediocre AC up very warm (25C/77F) so that we could sleep with only a sheet - in boiling hot Athens? No thanks. Plus, there’s no way you could open a window for a cool night breeze, as there was LOUD club music until the early hours of the morning. I’m talking feels like you’re directly by the DJ loud. Please DON’T stay here. Trust me.

The front desk staff gave excellent references to local shopping, eating and sightseeing. The housekeeping staff keep our room very clean. We loved having a drink on our balcony in the evening while watching the activities below us. We highly recommend staying here as it’s location is excellent.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, daarna weinig tot geen contact. Prima locatie voor de stad te verkennen. Ontbijt naast de deur dat meer dan voldoende was. Kamers waren niet ok :de extra lakens waren niet fris, geen slopen voor extra kussens, douchestraal was niet krachtig genoeg, lawaaihinder zeer extreem vanuit omliggende cafés en geurhinder tot in de kamers van onderliggende taverne. Buiten de goede locatie kan ik dit hotel niet echt aanraden.

Staff and location were great, however our hotel room bathroom was not great, . The room was not ready our blanket had coffe or some stains all over and was not in the sheets.

We stayed here recently and overall had a really good experience. The room and bathroom were very small, but everything was extremely clean and well-kept. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept us cool throughout our stay, which was a huge plus. The only downside is that the bathroom is quite compact and the shower has just a half wall, so it’s a little tricky to keep the floor dry. What we loved most was the location—it’s very close to everything. We were able to walk to Plaka and Monastiraki Square, and there are shops and restaurants everywhere. At the same time, the hotel is a little tucked away, so we could actually get some quiet and sleep well. The staff was also super nice and helpful. Our luggage was delayed and when it was delivered the next day, they had it placed directly in our room, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a clean, convenient, and welcoming stay.

Nice hotel that felt like it was close to everything! There are many good, exciting and nice restaurants in the area for all meals throughout the day. We had a room facing a road, but were not bothered by noise, not even from the nightlife. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and generally very good standard. The only thing is that it was a little difficult to find the right temperature of the water in the shower. When we go back to Athens, we will stay at Noma!

This hotel is in a very congested and loud area right off Monastiraki square, so be forewarned. It would be nice if the hotel had a plug in fan for the rooms so the outside noise could be drowned out some. I would seriously advise the hotel to do so. On the weekends, don’t expect the outside noise to subside until 1-2am. The shower took more than a minute to get hot every time. Otherwise, no other complaints. It’s a nice room and a nice hotel.

Hotellet ser fint ut på bilderna och läget är väldigt centralt. Det är det enda positiva som kan nämnas. Nu till det negativa: - Vårt rum hade inga fönster alls. Dvs inget solljus och ingen möjlighet att vädra. - Hotellrummet var väldigt lyhörd. Musiken från en angränsande bar/restaurang hördes fram till sent på natten. Utan hörselproppar är det inte möjligt att sova. - Det luktar mat i hotellet som kommer från de omkringliggande restaurangerna. - Inredningen är på första blick stilig men när man tittar närmare är det slitet och trasigt. - Nyckeln till dörren funkar knappt och man får stå och rucka det redan slitna dörrlåset. - Krav att betala 50€ i deposition för eventuella skador. Aldrig varit med om sånt tidigare på ett vanligt hotell. Om ni vill ha en lugn och mysig vistelse så kan jag bara avråda från detta hotell.

This hotel served its purpose in that it was in downtown/central Athens, in walking distance to most of the archaeological parks. However, the hotel is located on a very busy street corner and above a restaurant that played very loud music every night until midnight. The noise from below really didn't quiet down most nights until 1am or 2am. The beds were comfortable and adequate. The WiFi worked well for us, even to stream videos. Linens changed daily which was nice. Large bathroom. If I could do it again, I probably would book a place south of the Acropolis - we visited over there and that area of town seemed quieter and cleaner. None of this was the hotel's fault though. Also, does have in-room AC which kept the room comfortable (however if you're like me, and prefer rooms to be *cold*, as seems to be typical in Europe, this didn't do that - kept it temperate but never really got cold in the room - nonetheless I was grateful to have it!). We really didn't have any complaints with the hotel, just the surrounding environment - but that's what you get with central Athens.

Idéalement situé, belle rénovation d’un ancien bâtiment. Pas de vue car les fenêtres sont petites, mais ce n’était pas un critère pour nous puisque nous allions chercher la vue ailleurs. J’y retournerais.

Front desk staff was very friendly and offered to store luggage after checkout. Area is among many shops and food options. Entrance to hotel is secured and feel safe. Third-floor still received some ambient street noises such as drumming until midnight but we slept fine.

Nina was very accommodating to us, even with our late arrival. We missed out on the breakfast we had paid for, so they made sure to compensate us the next morning. So wonderful!

Everything in this place is broken. The water faucets, the locks on the door, the blinds. There is only a sky light and no other windows. The motorized blind is broken so you have no natural light. The staff is very rude and unhelpful. It is the nosiest hotel I’ve ever been in. You hear music from a neighbouring establishment until 2:00am even on Monday. It is run down and not like the pictures. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, as are the pillows. I would not recommend that anyone stay here.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Small issue with the room but they corrected it without us asking while we were out for the day. GREAT location for walking to sites to visit as first time vacationers to Athens. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely amazing stay. They checked in with us a few days before arriving to ensure someone would be at the front desk. Service was incredible and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. We will recommend it to everyone who travels to Athens! Thank you.

Beware of the location. Very central which comes at a cost of being able to sleep. The room we were in was right above restaurants that would play loud music until 3am. The TV and the bed frame was broken. So take that for what you will. Overall it was a pretty good 6 nights, but buyer beware.

Bel endroit...manque un peu de finition (trous dans le plafond et dans les draps) et le café non compris est une petite déception. Prenez l'option avec petit-déjeuner, vous ne le regretterez pas!! Vraiment comme emplacement, vous ne pouvez demander mieux.

Das Hotel liegt zentral und alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück wird im Hotel neben an angeboten und war gut. Vor allem war das Personal sehr freundlich dort. Die Unterkunft ist empfehlenswert, wenn man im Zentrum eine Unterkunft sucht.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen, alles ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Direkt gegenüber ist eine Kirche - wer sich an dem Läuten stört (bei uns morgens um 7.50 Uhr), sollte das Hotel meiden. Der Lärm von der Straßen war zwar gut hörbar, störte uns aber nicht beim Schlafen. An sich wurde es sehr schön renoviert, alte und neue Elemente harmonieren gut. Allerdings müssten die Zimmer besser in Stand gehalten werden, bei uns lösten sich mehrere Fußleisten/Türrahmen ab, die Türklinke der Toilette war weg und wurde nur provisorisch repariert, die Minibar ließ sich nicht mehr richtig schließen, aus den Waschbecken kam nur kaltes Wasser ... Die größte Enttäuschung war wohl das inbegriffene Frühstück. Es wird im Restaurant nebenan angeboten (das an sich sehr gutes Essen bietet) und war die reinste Katastrophe. Man erhält kein Buffet, sondern eine sehr kleine Auswahl ist inbegriffen, der Rest muss extra gezahlt werden. Was man erhält, ist schlechter als jedes Flugzeug-Frühstück, ein kleines, trockenes Brötchen, eine Scheibe Kuchen, ein kleines Croissant. Dazu schlechter Filterkaffee und eine Wurst, auf der schon ein ekliges Film klebte. Statt das als Frühstück anzubieten, sollte das Hotel lieber darauf verzichten. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich, konnte gut Englisch und war auch sehr bemüht, sich um die Mängel im Hotelzimmer zu kümmern. Ich würde wegen der guten Lage und des günstigen Preises wiederkommen, aber falls möglich auf das Frühstück verzichten.

Fabulous hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel was beautiful. My room was wonderful with high ceilings and modern touches (i booked a superior room). Area was perfect for walking around and had plenty of shopping and dining options. Would definitely stay here again
