Tenuta Danesi

The property was a beautiful. Cypress tree driveway, excellent pool, very nicely finished clean rooms & bathroom. The chef was on the whole very good. Located within 10km of Matera but in a quiet rural setting. The staff. Anna who served breakfast & checkout was excellent. The rest of the staff are either poorly managed and demoralised or should not be in a hospitality role. Checkin person was rude and didn’t make you feel welcome. Couldn’t really be bothered. The waiters I think must work on a local farm, no people skills whatsoever. Starters & main course was very good. I sent the salad back. You have a choice of green salad or mixed salad m, which was green leaves a carrots?? After that everyone disappeared leaving us and another table wondering if they were coming back to offer dessert & coffee. No one came back, no staff anywhere, so we all got up and eventually left. To top it off some of the complimentary lotions etc were half full and perused. Beautiful place, but either the staff need training or recruit some people that understand customer service. Unfortunately it ruined our stay. Couldn’t wait to move on.

Un posto bellissimo, fuori dal tempo, ma con tutte le attenzioni possibili per gli ospiti. è stato davvero piacevole passare qualche giorno qui. Ottimo anche come base per visitare Matera, Altamura e i dintorni. Consigliatissimo.

Rilassante

Volevo scrivere di alcune imperfezioni che ho riscontrato, ma poi la mattina ho aperto la finestra sul balcone e tutto è andato nel dimenticatoio.

L’hôtel est au calme au milieu de la campagne. Il organise par ailleurs des soirées privées ( mariages, anniversaires,…) et c’est évidemment beaucoup moins calme (musique, DJ, enfants qui crient). Nous dînions au même moment dans le restaurant de l’hôtel. Le service s’en est ressenti (la bouteille de vin commandée est arrivée à la fin du repas 😞) même si le repas était très bon. Le lendemain il n’y avait plus de pain au buffet du petit déjeuner. A notre demande le personnel en a ramené mais 15mn plus tard alors que nous avion déjà terminé. Quelques sourires du personnel seraient les bienvenus. Nous avons eu quelquefois eu l’ impression de les gêner. C’est dommage car c’est un très bel hôtel, bien placé avec des chambres joliment décorées.
