Fairfield Inn Corning Riverside, NY

The room was clean with a neat shower head but the a/c was very loud and our room was next to the single elevator so, not surprisingly, that was noisy. The breakfast was well stocked but crowded with few tables so we ate in our room. Pool and exercise area was great!

Small hotel however cozy and comfort. Staffs are nice. Fittness center, indoor swimming pool, hot breakfast.

The most important thing to me is that the hotel room is clean, which it was for my visit. The bathroom had a nice shower (no tub) with sliding door. Not sure about other rooms. Room area was quiet even though my room was located on the first floor inside close to the front entrance. Breakfast was good, but coffee creamer selection was not (hazelnut creamer wasn’t available in the morning). The indoor pool was very small.

This modest property is perfect for a quick visit to Corning, NY. It is about 1 to 1.5 miles away from the Corning Museum of Glass, the Rockwell and the Gaffer district. Very friendly and hard-working staff. There is some road noise from the highway, but just set your Air-conditioning fan to constant and the white noise drowns it out. Guests can also use the electric charger for their EV vehicles, which is very much appreciated. The breakfast is good (not fancy) - but enough choices. There's a Tops and Wegman's not far away and amazing dining in Corning, Watkins Glen (about 30 minutes away) and wine country for fine dining.

Breakfast was great, rooms were fine, otherwise good. Electric chargers needed payment. Come on, that could be free as a courtesy.

Very small bathroom. Very small breakfast room. Staff were very friendly. AC unit kinda loud and not efficient at dehumidifying the room. EV charger was great.

The pool facility was very clean and warm. In room accommodations all working and current tech. Enjoyed the ability to log into our Netflix account. In room bathroom very nice, up to date and clean. Thanks for a great stay!

This is the most honest and detailed review I can give of this experience. The room was very clean. I'm pretty sure that this is the first hotel I've stayed at that actually cleans it's rooms air conditioners filters. With my allergies that is the first thing I check when going into a room. My only complaints are that the pool is way smaller than what was pictured (I'm assuming a very wide angle camera was used), the pool had so much chlorine in it that it started to make me lightheaded after being in it 10 minutes, and breakfast was horrible. The eggs they serve are very rubbery and taste disgusting. There is not enough room in the lobby breakfast area for the amount of people who stay there to eat or even grab some food to go. Many hot items were out (waiting with no room for more to be made). There were people trying to run us over because the breakfast area is tiny (again had to be a very wide angle camera used to take the pictures online, actual breakfast area is only about 3-4 people wide and about two people deep). My husband and I got easily frustrated by this and left. We ended up going somewhere else for breakfast. The bathrooms in the rooms are so tiny that you have to be a contortionist to get around the door to get to the toilet (definitely not fitting two people in there at all, I would suggest a modification to the doors so that the door opens out instead of in towards the toilet, if possible).

The man who greeted us was very hospitable and friendly. The pool was murky and had visible greenish gret scum on the tiles. You could see where the numbers had been scratched by fingernails. Our bathroom faucet had lots of soap scum around it. These thinsg made me daoubt the clanliness of the whole place. The outside was quite dirty too, full of cobwebs. Wifi was spotty.

Everyone was very welcoming and kind. We did find a dead beetle and mold/mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom. (Probably due to the bathroom not having a fan) Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable

The staff were courteous, friendly and cordial. The room was quite clean and well stocked with towels, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would return in the future if in the area.

This property is secluded and quiet. The rooms a very nice and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. They had a nice breakfast buffet and in room coffee.

Everything was great and well maintained. We really appreciated the "staging area" in our room, where we could put our bags up off the floor and access all our bags at a comfortable level. Sheets looked and smelled nice and clean, there were nice details such as built in power strips and lots of surface area so you could plug in multiple devices to charge conveniently. It wasn't mentioned in the description, but there was a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. A really nice surprise was breakfast. Very decent options, way beyond a bagel or muffin. Pool area was lovely, there is a fire table and seating area outside for lounging on nice nights. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering a stay in this area.

The room is spacious

This hotel was very clean. Our room was spacious. The beds were very comfortable.

We were in room 306. Incredible traffic noise through the night. Not much soundproofing in the outside walls & windows! Otherwise, if that doesn't bother you, this is a good hotel.

On the plus side, the room was clean, the bed first-rate, and the bathroom/shower well-appointed. The property is only a few minutes from the Corning Glass Museum and the attractive "Gafffer" historic downtown restaurant and shopping district. On the downside, the road noise was noticeable and distracting and the breakfast area loud and cramped. Perhaps most important, the internet service is slow and balky; it was down completely for one of the two evenings of our stay, with the front desk staff either unwilling or unable to help.

Staff was extremely helpful with suggestion on attractions and restaurants. Clean, spacious corner room!

I object to having the $20 charge for incidentals show up on my credit card statement after six days. I did not have any incidentals and wonder why this charge persists. Deliberate or unintentional. Either way, it needs to be removed now.

Not your fault. Yours is one of the nicer facilities in the area. It’s just the location “at the end of town.”

Great location to downtown and Corning Museum and Rockwell Museum. Winery tours all along the Lake District.

The property is in a nice location. Close to downtown Corning and easy access to the highway. The only downside was early morning noise as our room was close to the staff room and the snack room.

Noisy, you will hear people in adjacent rooms/hallway. Comfortable beds. Breakfast: space is TOO SMALL. Badly designed flow. Napkins and cutlery should be out of the 4-person maximum food area, and positioned by the coffee. More staff needed to ensure that there is sufficient food; coffee, hot water and food ran out RAPIDLY.

Everything was good except for breakfast. The area did not have enough room for all the guests and the person assigned to keep items restocked was unable to keep up. Some of the hot food was cold.
