Didn’t realize no elevator in hotel . I’ve recently had knee surgery, and it was challenging to climb the stairs. Front desk said due to me ordering my room through a third party, they didn’t have another room that night.

We really enjoyed our stay at Main Street Motel. The grab-and-go snacks and breakfast options were a fantastic addition! It was also really nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The decor and furnishings were updated and felt very fresh. Thank you for a great experience!

This property was located in a great area that was in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit soft for us and the pillows were a bit overstuffed. Coffee was not available in our room but was available in the office along with some bars and instant oatmeal. A laundromat was located across the street. We would stay here again.

Loved this great motel! Close to everything in Bar Harbor, plenty of parking around the motel, coffee available every morning, and everything was very clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Bar Harbor.

Nice property. Very convenient to walk the town. Laundromat and great breakfast place next door. Parking is tight/limited, but not unusual for an in-town location.

We stayed at Main Street Motel for 4 nights in August, it was clean, safe, quiet, staff was very friendly, they offered free coffee and water bottles, but our favorite part was that the parking was free - since the parking situation along the Main Street strip in Bar Harbor was hard to find, it was so convenient to just leave your car in the hotel lot and take a stroll past all the restaurants and bars to the harbor. So glad we didn't have to worry about parking, it was definitely worth it and saved us a lot of time and money!

Parking was extremely easy, especially on a busy fall weekend. Navigation was convenient to multiple Acadia entrances. The coffee, hot cocoa, and snacks in the lobby were much appreciated. We grabbed packets of hot cocoa and snacks the night before to take with us for early-morning sunrises in the park. Beds and blackout shades made sleeping comfortable. You can walk to pretty much everything in town, but it is a pretty decent walk to things like the sandbar. Check out Havana right across the street for a more upscale dinner!

Staff were great. Hotel is one of the cheaper options in town, but is a great location . On the edge of town, so easy to get in and out without hitting bar harbor traffic, but close enough to walk anywhere . Restaurants near by were great, namely salsa Verde grill. Nice wine shop is very close. The hotel is basic, clean, the AC worked well. You can park right in front of your room, and the lobby has complementary water, coffee , cereal, breakfast bars. There aren't really common areas or a pool, but it's a nice spot for exploring town and the park.

The location was great! It was easy to walk all through town. The room was damp the entire time we were there. The sheets were wet/sticky and so were the towels. Mentioned it to the front desk and they just said to check the air conditioner. We did and nothing was on the wrong setting and we were unable to open the window.

All around perfect stay! Clean rooms, super comfy beds and pillows, helpful and friendly staff, minimal but tastefully decorated, good assortment of hiking snacks for free and water, great walking location to everything and minutes from Acadia! Would highly recommend!

Staff was great, very friendly and helpful with check in and providing area offerings. The room looked clean at initial view. However, there was a used plastic fork on the floor and the table was dirty. Long hair on one of the pillow cases. Bathroom floor had lots of hair around the toilet and lid was broken at the seat connection. Tub had a large crack which was poorly repaired. It felt soft to step on that area but hard to avoid to shower. We only stayed one night as a last minute add on to our weekend after the place we had stayed couldn’t accommodate an extra night. Price was reasonable for walking distance of downtown but needs proper repairs and cleaning.

My only issue was the bed.... extraordinarily soft combined with pillows that were far too thick. With a bad back, it was impossible to get a good night's sleep. My friend, who slept in the other bed and does NOT have a bad back, had the same complaint - and he LOVES a soft bed... These were far FAR too soft - no support at all. The thickness of the pillows gave us both neck problems since it was either sleep with our necks at a right angle to our body or sleep without one at all. I ended up putting the pillows on the floor to sleep using most of my clothing to comprise a pillow for my head.

The room was clean and comfortable. It appeared to have been refurbished recently. New paint, carpet and bathroom vanity. Shower had good pressure. We were in 201 at the street, did hear some road noise. Staff was pleasant and helpful, coffee was good. The fresh fruit, water and snack availability was appreciated. Great machine to fill your personal water bottle. Will definitely return as the location to local area was good.

My mom and I stayed here for two days during our girls trip. The location is wonderful and within walking distance to everything in downtown Bar Harbor. The bed was so comfortable too. I would advise bringing ear plugs just to block out the noise from the other guests going up and down the stairs and walking in the room above yours.

Stayed at the Main Street Motel for two nights. Room was clean and modern. Bathroom was decent and had good water pressure. Bed was soft and comfy. Pillows could be a bit softer. There was an “odd” smell. Wasn’t bad but was noticeable. Stopped noticing it after a while. Really liked the short walk to down town. Hard to beat the price. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel close to everything and don’t care about amenities, then this is the place for you.

This is truly the worst place I’ve ever stayed. Staff was not friendly at all. Tv was only accessible via your own apps. Everything in room is cheap, heard ever step in room above. No in room coffee or water. Cannot wait to leave this morning.

Great place. Great location near shops and restaurants. Clean, comfy and nice amenities like tea, coffee, snacks. I appreciated their customer service the most, though. They helped us with a parking issue prior to check-in and they gave us great tips on where to go on our trip to Portland.

We only had a few days to stay. Due to a chemical allergy, we requested that the sheets and towels be washed using no bleach or chemicals and the bathroom be cleaned with non-bleach products. The staff made sure our request was fulfilled and our stay was incident free. Very nice people, very accommodating.

We liked everything about the property. Location, quality, clean, walkable. The one thing I can complain about was our first experience while checking in.... We have never been to Bar Harbor and with this being a true tourist town, I asked the woman on our arrival...'what do I need to see, need to know or do in town'. She had not ONE idea, location or thing to do in town. This was not a foreigner but a local person. She had not one thing to share with me. Being there for two nights...I could now be a tour guide! How can a front desk person that does this for a job in a tourist town not have any ideas to share. She made me feel silly for asking.

Wonderful stay at the Main Street Motel! Clean, welcoming location that’s close to everything. Just a 10-min drive to Acadia. And Bar Harbor has many options for shopping and eating.

This property was very clean and had plenty of parking. It’s walkable to the many restaurants, shops, and harbor. Staff was very hospitable. Would stay here again.

This property was very clean and had plenty of parking. It’s walkable to the many restaurants, shops, and harbor. Staff was very hospitable. Would stay here again.

Great location to explore Bar Harbor and Acadia. Staff was friendly. It was nice to run into the lobby and grab snacks and water before exploring the park.

Great motel within walking distance of everything you do in Acadia/Bar Harbor. Close to bus stops, restaurants, Ocean walk etc. Quiet well cared for!

Hotel was just what we needed on a trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Located on the edge of town, it was an easy walk to where ever we wanted to go in Bar Harbor, but away from the busiest parts. Easy drive to Acadia.

We really enjoyed our stay at Main Street Motel. The grab-and-go snacks and breakfast options were a fantastic addition! It was also really nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The decor and furnishings were updated and felt very fresh. Thank you for a great experience!

All around perfect stay! Clean rooms, super comfy beds and pillows, helpful and friendly staff, minimal but tastefully decorated, good assortment of hiking snacks for free and water, great walking location to everything and minutes from Acadia! Would highly recommend!

Would absolutely stay here again and recommend the property. So clean and an excellent lobby stocked with fresh locally sourced coffee (going to be dreaming of the blueberry roast for the rest of my life), water bottles, fresh organic fruit, and flavored water. The staff was so kind and happy to suggest things to do in the area. Very close to everything in downtown area and felt extremely safe.

This property was located in a great area that was in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was a bit soft for us and the pillows were a bit overstuffed. Coffee was not available in our room but was available in the office along with some bars and instant oatmeal. A laundromat was located across the street. We would stay here again.

Maine St Motel was nice! Walkable to shops and convenient location to Acadia National Park. Staff were all very helpful. My only complaint was the pillows were too stiff & difficult to sleep on. Bed was comfortable. TV was nice.

Great location (10 mins walk to downtown) and complimentary breakfast items (oatmeal, breakfast bars, etc.) The owner was super helpful and gave us lots of recommendations which were all great!

Steve and room is very nice. The exterior could use some spruce and up but overall day was very very nice. Especially loved the blueberry coffee in the morning.

Staff were great. Hotel is one of the cheaper options in town, but is a great location . On the edge of town, so easy to get in and out without hitting bar harbor traffic, but close enough to walk anywhere . Restaurants near by were great, namely salsa Verde grill. Nice wine shop is very close. The hotel is basic, clean, the AC worked well. You can park right in front of your room, and the lobby has complementary water, coffee , cereal, breakfast bars. There aren't really common areas or a pool, but it's a nice spot for exploring town and the park.

Would definitely stay here again! Very clean, exterior walkways could use a little updating on the second floor. Beds are super comfy and loved the extras in the office; coffee,snacks and water! The location was spectacular, easy walk to everything in town!

I was happy that the room was quiet and clean all week. The staff was helpful, pleasant and friendly. I liked the breakfast options and the way the tv worked with good channels. Easy parking for day trips and easy walking to dinner or downtown activities.

Nice motel, easy parking right on Main Street in Bar Harbor. Shower was great, AC worked great, bed and pillows were comfortable. Would def stay again.

The room is outdated, but very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. On site parking was convenient. One downside is that I am 77 with some back issues and the room was on the second floor, so I had to climb the stairs multiple times. if you have no issues walking, it was located close to the shops and restaurants.
