Our second visit here and can’t say enough good things about it. Beautifully maintained property with wonderful amenities. My favorite is the heated bathroom floors. They have drinks and mixers breakfast and coffee. TVs in the rooms, great WiFi access, individually controlled heat/ac. What a pleasure to stay here again in such a cool beautiful town. The leaves turning is just magical. The businesses and restaurants around Market St are all within walking distance. Great experience again and I highly recommend.

We wanted a quiet weekend away and Potsdam was certainly the place! Pert House was QUIET! It was beautifully re-done, there were plenty of amenities in the kitchen, and it was easy to get in and out of. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, snacks, and drinks. The room was equipped with a desk, couch, coasters, towels, etc. There was a lot of thought put into this spot. It was also super easy to walk to the downtown area for food and shops. There was an IGA directly across the street and a little further past the shops, you could explore the Raquette River area and park.

I was extremely impressed with this inn. It is an older home that has been totally renovated. The rooms and common areas are very nice, comfortable, immaculately clean and a great place to stay. It is within a short walk of restaurants and pubs. I highly recommend this inn.

Its a really lovely newly renovated old building. Room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable bed and bedding. Lovely lounge area. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Owners and staff are friendly and accommodating.

The best bed that I have slept in over the past week! The building and decor are stunning and the updates to the building are thoughtful while keeping as much of the character as they could. Delightful common spaces and a comfortable room, how can you ask for more?

Room and Inn was very clean and inviting. Not sure it’s worth the price as we stayed at another inn and had an amazing fresh cooked breakfast and the price was $100 less. If they had a decent breakfast instead of bread and cereal it would have made it better. The best was comfy and everything was very clean.

It is a quiet and small hotel with a historic vibe. The property is remotely managed, (i.e. a worker comes clean and brings necessary groceries, and drip coffee is made automatically at 07:00 am). There is no receptionn office. You enter with a code provided to you after booking. I came for business and stayed for 4 days. The room was well equipped and very nice and large. The bed was somewhat too soft. However, other than that, I had a great stay. One or two tall chairs for the kitchen could also help.

The stay was wonderful. The owners are very accommodating and responsive. Only complaint is hotels.com communication was delayed. On checkout (today) I received the email Pert house sent for checkin 4 days ago. Very disappointed in hotels.com, but LOVE The Pert house! Would definitely stay there again.

Terrible Customer Support. Pert House says they will email instructions the day before arrival, but they failed to do so. As a result, I arrived and had no idea how even to enter the building. There is no front desk, and nobody to report issues to on site. Nobody answers their phone, and nobody returns messages. Wi-Fi did not work in the ASH room. They claim to provide daily maid service, but my room was never cleaned until after I left. Property is beautifully restored, a historic house In a Tiny Adirondack town. Interiors are pristine, maintain well by the cleaning staff. Location is great for downtown locations, but it is a rather long walk from the colleges, and the bus service is only once per hour. Air conditioning and climate control is excellent, modern, updated. Daily continental breakfast options are generous but uninteresting. This is a lovely property but completely without any kind of human touch. By choosing not to have a front desk or manager, this otherwise nice place to stay feels like a ghost house run by robots.

Loved our stay. Check in was easy. Damian, one of the workers, was friendly and helpful. Our room was fantastic, the house was historic with modern comforts. Not necessarily a knock but would have loved to meet the owners at least once during our 3-night stay. One request - please recycle!

Beautifully maintained property in the heart of Potsdam. Walking distance to plenty of places to shop and eat. The coded door made our late check-in easy and painless. So glad we came upon this property. Will definitely recommend to others. Wonderful experience.

Room was lovely. I incorrectly booked for only 2 adults rather than two adults and a teen and they were very accommodating at 10:00 pm in the evening when we arrived. Very comfortable bed and bedding, beautiful shower and wonderful smelling soap/shampoo etc. and right by Clarkson University which we were visiting. Less than 5 minutes to drive there.

Pert House was awesome! Very convenient to downtown and Clarkson University. I will definitely be staying here again.

Beautifully maintained property in the heart of Potsdam. Walking distance to plenty of places to shop and eat. The coded door made our late check-in easy and painless. So glad we came upon this property. Will definitely recommend to others. Wonderful experience.

Room was lovely. I incorrectly booked for only 2 adults rather than two adults and a teen and they were very accommodating at 10:00 pm in the evening when we arrived. Very comfortable bed and bedding, beautiful shower and wonderful smelling soap/shampoo etc. and right by Clarkson University which we were visiting. Less than 5 minutes to drive there.

Our second visit here and can’t say enough good things about it. Beautifully maintained property with wonderful amenities. My favorite is the heated bathroom floors. They have drinks and mixers breakfast and coffee. TVs in the rooms, great WiFi access, individually controlled heat/ac. What a pleasure to stay here again in such a cool beautiful town. The leaves turning is just magical. The businesses and restaurants around Market St are all within walking distance. Great experience again and I highly recommend.

We wanted a quiet weekend away and Potsdam was certainly the place! Pert House was QUIET! It was beautifully re-done, there were plenty of amenities in the kitchen, and it was easy to get in and out of. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, snacks, and drinks. The room was equipped with a desk, couch, coasters, towels, etc. There was a lot of thought put into this spot. It was also super easy to walk to the downtown area for food and shops. There was an IGA directly across the street and a little further past the shops, you could explore the Raquette River area and park.

I LOVE Pert House! Sal and Jess are wonderful hosts! The only thing I noticed during my most recent stay is that the other occupants had left a mess in the kitchen the evening I arrived back. Perhaps there is a way to kindly ask all occupants to clean up after themselves because the kitchen and sitting areas are shared spaces? Other than that, it's a beautiful place to stay and the continental breakfast, coffee/tea, beverages, and snacks are wonderful! I highly recommend!!

What a charming property. We chose the Pine Room which was wonderful. Decor in the room and throughout the house was so beautiful and tasteful. The home is an 1860’s two story in a quiet, tree-lined area of town. Parking is on-site and safe. A continental breakfast was available. We were short on time so just opted for juice and coffee. There was a ramp which assisted my husband in getting inside but no elevator so I should have thought to request a first floor room. My fault. I wish we had scheduled time to sit on the wide, lovely front porch. Hopefully, we’ll stay again someday. 😊

Rooms have comfortable bedding and very clean. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and soap are good quality. Coffee is good and options are oat milk, creamer, milk. Easy to walk to Clarkson. Continental breakfast of cereal, toast, peanut butter, jelly, bagels, apples and bananas.

The house is beautifully done. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only nitpick I have is that listed as b&b, but it was more of a serve yourself breakfast like some hotels use. Usual experience would be the host making breakfast for the guests. Overall, a very nice place and we will be back.

Room and Inn was very clean and inviting. Not sure it’s worth the price as we stayed at another inn and had an amazing fresh cooked breakfast and the price was $100 less. If they had a decent breakfast instead of bread and cereal it would have made it better. The best was comfy and everything was very clean.

The house and room had great character. We stayed in the Pine room which was clean, great bathroom and shower. Quite comfortable bed and staff was very friendly. Would like to have had an option for Gluten free bagel/muffin. Coffee was good and otherwise nice options for breakfast.

We stay overnight to visit with our son who attends school nearby. The room is large, bright and clean. The bed is comfortable. The home has character while offering a nice bathroom and kitchen area. You cannot hear the other guests while in your room but have the chance to congregate in the kitchen or common areas. Sal is very helpful with accommodations and quietly goes about business. You can walk to many places around town. A grocery store is across the street if you need to pick something up, but the fridge has drinks, snacks and other basic needs. We will choose this location for each stay.
