The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained – no complaints there. The grounds are lovely and visually impressive. However, relaxation is hard to find at the pool, as the music is played far too loudly from morning to evening. Instead of a calm atmosphere, it often feels more like a beach club than a hotel pool. On top of that, the additional charges are excessive and frankly disappointing, especially given the already high room rates. Things that are usually included in other hotels are charged separately here. For example, an omelette at breakfast comes with an extra €17 fee – something that should really be standard. The hotel only provides one small plastic water bottle per day in the room, which also feels stingy. The private beach, which is heavily promoted and accessible by the hotel shuttle, requires an additional €100 per day for a sunbed. That feels unreasonable and leaves a sour taste, considering how much guests are already paying. Food is okay, but nothing close to fine dining, which is what one would expect at these prices. On top of that, two out of three meals I had included a hair in the dish – unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one positioning itself as premium.
