The Crewe Arms was, sadly, very disappointing. Extremely expensive for what was offered and, whilst not an issue for me, no breakfast. My accommodation was barely better than grubby and the whole premises including my room smelt of deep fat frying. Very disappointed.

Nothing wrong with the actual room, but WIFI didnt work and on a business trip, that was an issue. No breakfast either.

Pub grub was excellent we even had steak and ale pie made by their own chef rather than bought in as a frozen meal. The main downside is that the pub occupies a very small building with two guest rooms the one we stayed in was located above the kitchen. This was not a problem at night but in the morning someone used a large mixer just before 6 am for about 15 minutes. There is no breakfast available at the pub and no eating utensils or plates in the room. There are no local restaurants where you can have breakfast so be prepared to bring everything you need for breakfast. The manager made it clear that no breakfast could be provided.
