The property is adjacent to an abandoned building, which wasn’t evident in the provided photos. The apartment had old and/or used amenities. The hair dryer and iron were in poor condition, and the only amenities in the shower were half empty plastic bottles of shampoo and body wash. It felt as if someone else was actively living there.

Very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Lovely patio area with dining table. The management was superb - easy and timely communication and very helpful.

If you have a layover in Athens, this is the place you want to stay! The place is really nice and clean. It’s pretty much brand new and was very modern with all the amenities needed. Shower had perfect water pressure and the blow dryer dried my hair fast! Akis and his brother were so amazing! They had great communication which made it easy to get to and from the airport. I didn't have a converter for the electricity and they were very kind to let me use a converter. I really enjoyed my stay here and I’m so glad I found this place! There’s a reason why this place has amazing reviews, it’s a wonderful place to stay!

What was GREAT!!!! We loved that the owners have a taxi service with free pick up at the airport. We used this the next day to get to the port without any issues as we were on a cruise. That was 60 euro trip for the 2 of us as a separate booking for the taxi. We also used the clothes washer-most everything dried overnight. What didnt dry was ironed dry. Very nice-bring your own soap. What didnt work: We couldnt get the internet to work-it wasn't detrimental but would have been nice. The neighborhood bar had live music but we were able to shut the slider and turn on the AC to cover the noise.

It includes all the necessary amenities, along with thoughtful starter supplies such as bottled water, tea, coffee, dishwashing and laundry detergent, a complete set of kitchen appliances, and an iron. The shuttle service with Akis is exceptional—he is caring, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The hotel staff reflects the same warmth and professionalism. This property looks brand new. I wish we were staying more than one night so we could enjoy all that is offered. The room is spacious, there’s an amazing shower and the room is huge. It has a full kitchen and dishwasher. Within a 10 minute walk there are several restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket, bank and mini marts. Perfect place when flying through Athens or on a longer stay for business - this would be a perfect place. Their shuttle service was clean and on time.

This is a family run business. Electra and Vaios are extremely professional, excellent communicators, friendly, courteous, & informative of everything! The accommodations were absolutely beautiful, impeccably clean, enormous was complete with kitchen, washer & dryer, free WiFi, A/C etc! I was impressed with their free shuttle service! I will definitely bring my family and I back here to their accommodations! I read them a perfect 10 out of 10.

I arrived into Athens late in the afternoon and was scheduled to fly out the following morning. So I needed a place near the airport to stay for the overnight layover between flights. AVR Deluxe Suites was perfect. On-time pickup from airport for the 10-minute ride to the property. Very clean simple room with private bath. Quiet surroundings. An easy walk to several nearby bakeries to get a bite to eat. All followed by an on-time pickup for the ride back to the airport the next morning. Convenience, cleanliness, and courtesy all in one. Very nice!

The property was clean, and stocked with water,coffee and tea. We only had to stay the one night due to catching a flight the next morning. The car service to the airport was free when booked through expedia. The only negative I can think of is the bed. The mattress was extremely hard. My body aches when I got up. Also the sheets in the private room were stained. I could tell that they had been laundered, but there were still stains. The driver showed up on time and we did not miss our flight so all in all it was a very good experience..

The property was near the airport, very clean and in a quiet safe area with lots of restaurants and grocery stores. the owner provided a free transportation from and to the airport and his service was excellent. I highly recommend .

Great Room, Very Spacious with all needed amenities. Internet was NOT working so I reported it. It was NOT fixed while I was there (Wifi would connect but no internet access). This also rendered the TV useless as it needed a connection to work. Location is near the airport so very convenient for a 1 night stop. Owner was friendly.

If you are wanting a restful sleep before your international flight, this place is not for you. The apartment faced a busy street. Even with earplugs we heard the trucks, motorcycles al night.

The shuttle was great and useful. The property was clean and nice as well. My only issue was the noise. It was quite loud with guest arriving at night and speaking loudly outside my door.

We prearranged our arrival shuttle and had the driver’s phone number to call/text once we got our luggage. This arrangement could be improved by being given the car’s plate #, color, make, etc. and which lane to stand on for pickup. Our departure pickup was scheduled for 4am and fortunately we had his phone number to call when he hadn’t arrived. He overslept, but was there in 15 minutes. Also, be aware of the added fee you may be asked to pay when you arrive. €8 for a government climate tax. One other of our Greece hotels asked us for this, so we felt it was legitimate. We were told it was because we booked through Expedia and acknowledge that there is a booking notice that extra fees may be charged at the hotel. Fortunately, we had enough Euro left to cover it.

It was a great small apartment with nice new reasonably high end finishes. Some traffic noise and a really noisy air conditioner. Very close to airport easy to deal with. Would stay there again just with earplugs.

I liked the fact that it was near the airport and my host came to pick me up in a Mercedes but was an hour late! But overall a nice place for an overnight stay and rather quiet area of Athens so I can get some sleep before a 10 hour flight!

We were very thankful for this clean apartment only 10 minutes from the airport. The shuttle driver was responsive and polite on WhatsApp, and enjoyable to talk to. And a great story of their business!

Arrived in evening and had early morning flight to Munich. Akis and his brother were great! Prompt and reliable airport transport. The suite was clean and well kept. It offered everything you could need. Nearby dining options were great.

A good place for a quick overnight stay between flights. Excellent communication. Our reservation included transfers to/from Athens airport, and our driver did a superb job working around significant issues due to a strike, and then picking us up again in the early morning.

I was very disappointed with the accommodations at AVR. While the suite is clean, the manager wasn’t very polite. He seemed agitated when he had to come in the middle of the night due to a power outage (that was not caused by us). The morning of our check out he tried to rush us out before our checkout time. It was also very difficult to shower as the water would not come out of the shower head. It only came from the faucet.

Overall, great stay. Rooms were spacious and shower had great water pressure. Offer free transfers to airport but be sure to give yourself extra time as they can sometimes get delayed. Would definitely recommend and definitely book again when back.

Super helpful staff. Had to call for shuttle ride at the last minute because I forgot before we flew to Athens. Despite this, they were very accommodating and showed up right away. Next day, they took us to airport for our flight to Santorini. Owner was very responsive. We booked our last night in Athens as well because we knew we could count on them.

My wife and I were trying to find someting out by Athens Airport with easy access to the Airport in the morning. The full service airport hotels were pretty expensive so we looked for something a little further out without being back in Athens itself. The AVR suites fit the bill and the price was right. What we didn't know at the time was that the two brothers who own the property also run a taxi service (more later). The property itself was really very nice and was obviously almost brand new. The facilities were well thought out and not small or cramped by any means. This was the end of a long trip to Greece so we had a few other properties to compare to. There is a traditional coffee and pastry shop a very short walk down the street (2 mins ?). About a 6-8 min walk puts you in the town center where there are multiple places to eat. It was dark walking back but we felt safe enough and the town center is definitely walkable. Being from the US we don't use WhatsApp very much at all but you are going to need it in Greece. Anyway, once we found out the Property communicates using WhatsApp life got a whole lot easier. The property owners picked us up at the bus station in Athens and took us to the property and took us to the airport the next morning. We didn't need to them to do this but they made it so easy and the price was what we would pay anyway. Its nice to have a taxi meet you at the bus station, and to know it will be there as arranged in the morning.

A noisy neighborhood, 10-20 minute walking distance to local food.

The owners were very responsive and the property was great with a nice balcony and great view. The appartment building is located 14 min walk from the center of Markopoulo which is convenient in case one wants to have linch or dinner. There are also several bakeries for breakfast and a big supermarket 8 min walk from the property. The walk is very easy on the main street for all stores. Neighborhood is quiet and safe.

We stayed 2 nights. Place was roomy,( for a couple), clean, close to local restaurants, beautiful church and a bakery/ convenient store. Close to a beautiful beach area and less than 25 miles away from center Athens and the Acropolis. Property manager was very nice and operated the shuttle from and to the airport promptly. Helped us arrange taxi services to any other locations we visited. Communication was smooth and responses were fast. We are very pleased with property and the management.

Very unusual. It is actually a fully fitted apartment and very nicely done. The area is a bit run down but looks to be improving as lots of work going on. Convenient to airport. Guy runs a taxi firm so he has to fit in your arrival and departure around his fares. Had to wait at arrival and pickup to go to airport next morning. On arrival was shown the bare minimum so we spent a lot of time finding out stuff. A book would have helped. Overall a reasonable stop.

My family of 5 arrived early and our hosts graciously allowed us to bring our luggage early. They went out of their way to prepare our room much earlier than the check in time. The brothers/hosts made themselves available to drop us off into the city so we could tour for the day and picked us up for a reasonable price. The room was immaculate and newly renovated and very spacious. The neighborhood is residential on a somewhat busy street but no noise can be heard inside the room and not as walkable, but very close to the airport(10-15 min drive) 30-35 min from the Acropolis so makes it well worth it if you are looking to stay close to the airport. Highly recommend and would use again.
