There was quite a bit of disappointments with this hotel and visit, but I’ll narrow it down to the two most disappointing ones. 1. Even though I had made my reservation about two months prior to my visit, my room I had reserved through Hotels.com got bumped because I made the reservation with a third party company (Hotels.com) and was only guaranteed “a room”, and not “THEE ROOM” I reserved. The reason behind getting bumped from my room was apparently the NFL Draft that was going on in Pittsburgh, some decided to stay a few more days and somehow they got the priority to keep their rooms. I’m still pretty confused and disappointed but whatever. 2. This is a plain and simple just bad business practices. There was ZERO HOT WATER all weekend…as in ONLY cold water. To be fair, I get it…things happen. But how does a business like a hotel, have an issue like that and NOT call in a plumber or company to come resolve that issue. I understand that the Clerks or the Housekeepers aren’t responsible for that direct repair, however, the Clerks should notify a manager and then a manager resolve the situation. I’m sure all the stars aligned and we got a case of the full moon issues, and surely this was all just a random coincidence. But it leaves me pretty frustrated and disappointed.
