Wonderful property perfectly located in a quiet, pedestrianised area walking distance from the old town & Deocletians Palace - the only points to note, which we were aware of in advance, is the walk can be hard if yr not reasonably fit & mobile (uphill & climbing steps), it's in a very quiet but not particularly attractive residential area - not dangerous but very drab & much graffiti, and no shops or places to eat nearby (after walking all day and/or dinner you would have what feels like a big walk back). Also note, no lift in property - we loved the room on the top floor (105) but after a days walking, the stairs to the room were hard work. Would we stay again? Definately!!

The property is very nice, beautiful rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was great. The location is convenient and walkable distance to everything. The only thing to be aware of is lack of parking on site. We spent about 1 hour circling the city looking for parking; we found a parking but at the end were charged 90 euro for the less than 24 hours. Be aware, but this is not a reflection on the property. We would recommend it to family and friends, and would come back ourselves. Thank you!

A comfortable and peaceful one night stay in Split old town. We arranged a transfer from the airport as our flight arrived late evening. Our driver walked us to the front door of the property as it was in a pedestrian area. I think we would have found it difficult to find in the dark.

This was a nice oasis from the hectic town of Split. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. Short walk to Diocletian's Palace and outdoor market. I had hoped based on the description, that they had designated paid parking but really we just had to find public parking and luckily found an open spot. Lovely one night stay in Split.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Balatura. The hotel is a quick walk from old town but in such a quaint and quiet location. It is a small, family run hotel, which was great for us, as we were able to get quality rest without the noise of neighbors, music, doors slamming, etc. All of the staff was extremely kind and weren’t overbearing. Breakfast is ordered the day/evening before and while a small menu, worked out well for my wife and I. The parking is down a small side road in an open, gated lot. The hotel let us keep the key for the gate the entire stay. As a side note, paying for parking is separate and they only take cash - I had to go to the ATM during check out because we thought we could pay with card; not a big deal to us, as ATMs are close by. If we ever come back to Split, we will definitely stay here again!

Tucked away on a pedestrian only street, Balatura is a hidden gem. It is a 5 minute walk to the center of activity. Beautiful, spacious, clean room with an awesome shower, delicious full breakfast, and friendly staff, we highly recommend staying here.

Clean and tidy room + premise. Great location, walkable to everything in Split but quiet as not right in the bustle of the old town. Lovely service from the ladies at the front desk. They allowed us to store our baggage after checkout which was very helpful. Would recommend.

Excellent facility with attention to every detail. Comfortable, quiet and clean. Excellent breakfast. In close proximity to Diocletian’s Palace and the Riva. Employees were helpful and caring. Our receptionist even walked us to the main road to facilitate the airport transfer! And carried our luggage! Would definitely stay here again, our first choice.

Unser Zimmer lag genau an der Rezeption (1 mtr. entfernt), an der Eingangstür und direkt an der Treppe, die in den ersten Stock führt. Das Zimmer hatte zwar den Balkon, aber es war im Parterre und direkt an den Balkon grenzte die Frühstücksterrasse. Ab ca. 6 Uhr war es laut, da das Personal alles zum Frühstück herrichtete. Zudem ist im Nebengebäude eine Baustelle und daher hatten wir auch lauten Baulärm. Noch hinzu kommt, dass man die Schritte im Zimmer über uns deutlich hörte. Zweiter Punkt ist die Enge. Das Zimmer ist so klein, dass man nur eine Ablagefläche für einen Handgepäckskoffer hat. Den zweiten mussten wir auf dem Schreibtisch platzieren. Fazit: Hübsche Unterkunft, gute Lage zur Altstadt, Frühstück war gut, aber nicht herausragend, leider wenig Platz in diesem Zimmer und der Lärm tut sein Übriges. Zimmer-Nr. war 102. Wir würden hier nicht mehr buchen.

Very much enjoyed our stay - the room was spacious, clean and modern. The staff are very attentive and do their best to make guests feel comfortable. I would stay here again if I was visiting Split, and would also recommend to friends. The location is very central, and self check-in (due to late arrival time) was a breeze.bExcellent experience.

This was the cutest little hotel ever! The rooms were beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We picked out breakfast the night before and it was made fresh for us the next morning. I could’ve stayed here for weeks if I could have. HIGHLY recommend.

Everything has a feeling of quality. Location is good, on a quiet pedestrianised street about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, front and old town. Our room was spacious and very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, supportive pillows and plenty of room in the bathroom. All the staff were welcoming and very helpful too, particularly in helping to get my wife’s glasses mended. Breakfast is served outside in a garden room, which was a little chilly on the first day (there is an option to have breakfast in your room) and while the choice is not huge (understandable given there are only six rooms) the eggs and omelettes we had were beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. We had high expectations and were not disappointed.

We loved staying here for 2 nights. The first night we were in room 106 which is the top floor (3rd floor) and had a little view of the water. The second night we stayed in 104 which has a patio area- 2nd floor just above the lovely breakfast area. The rooms were exactly the same. This delightful hotel smells of lavender and the staff goes beyond to help their guests. They do offer laundry service and also helped arrange a taxi to the airport and booked us a tour in Split. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on. We really enjoyed their breakfast. They had a delicious offering of fruit, cereals, yogurts and then each afternoon you filled out your breakfast request for the next day. (eggs, toast, meats/cheeses). Get the croissants! AND they have real brewed coffee- a rarity in Europe. But they are happy to make you an espresso or a latte. It is a little tricky to find (don't use google maps if you are walking from the ferry). I think it's best to call when you get there and see if they can text you directions. You have to find an alley entrance off a main streets. Don't hesitate to book this lovely place- it's worth the price.

Liked: cleanliness, in quiet area, lovely bathroom, comfortable bed. Lack of guest care made us cross: * Safe was impossible and we were blamed for this * Complimentary bottle of wine meant we had to ask for it and not given one automatically. We then fought to be given two quarter bottles (not one quarter bottle as then offered) of what turned out to be undrinkable wine. We expected a normal sized bottle of drinkable wine, as per our hotel in Dubrovnik * We had to pre-order breakfast at a specified time, then we were presented with a cooked breakfast, the moment we sat down and not asked when we were ready

Cappuccino etc. wurde für dich extra frisch gemacht. Die Lage ist top und mit einem besonderen übertragenen Altstadtflair.

The property was lovely and the staff amazing. Very accommodating and so helpful. We had a problem with our car and they worked diligently to help us out. There is no elevator so if you have an issue with stairs, request the first floor.

Clean and tidy room + premise. Great location, walkable to everything in Split but quiet as not right in the bustle of the old town. Lovely service from the ladies at the front desk. They allowed us to store our baggage after checkout which was very helpful. Would recommend.

Everything has a feeling of quality. Location is good, on a quiet pedestrianised street about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, front and old town. Our room was spacious and very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, supportive pillows and plenty of room in the bathroom. All the staff were welcoming and very helpful too, particularly in helping to get my wife’s glasses mended. Breakfast is served outside in a garden room, which was a little chilly on the first day (there is an option to have breakfast in your room) and while the choice is not huge (understandable given there are only six rooms) the eggs and omelettes we had were beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. We had high expectations and were not disappointed.

We loved staying here for 2 nights. The first night we were in room 106 which is the top floor (3rd floor) and had a little view of the water. The second night we stayed in 104 which has a patio area- 2nd floor just above the lovely breakfast area. The rooms were exactly the same. This delightful hotel smells of lavender and the staff goes beyond to help their guests. They do offer laundry service and also helped arrange a taxi to the airport and booked us a tour in Split. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on. We really enjoyed their breakfast. They had a delicious offering of fruit, cereals, yogurts and then each afternoon you filled out your breakfast request for the next day. (eggs, toast, meats/cheeses). Get the croissants! AND they have real brewed coffee- a rarity in Europe. But they are happy to make you an espresso or a latte. It is a little tricky to find (don't use google maps if you are walking from the ferry). I think it's best to call when you get there and see if they can text you directions. You have to find an alley entrance off a main streets. Don't hesitate to book this lovely place- it's worth the price.

Excellent facility with attention to every detail. Comfortable, quiet and clean. Excellent breakfast. In close proximity to Diocletian’s Palace and the Riva. Employees were helpful and caring. Our receptionist even walked us to the main road to facilitate the airport transfer! And carried our luggage! Would definitely stay here again, our first choice.

We had a great stay! Close enough to the city center to be walkable but just far enough away to be nice and quiet. Very safe area. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a quaint little hotel to stay at!

A comfortable and peaceful one night stay in Split old town. We arranged a transfer from the airport as our flight arrived late evening. Our driver walked us to the front door of the property as it was in a pedestrian area. I think we would have found it difficult to find in the dark.

This was the cutest little hotel ever! The rooms were beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We picked out breakfast the night before and it was made fresh for us the next morning. I could’ve stayed here for weeks if I could have. HIGHLY recommend.

We had a wonderful three night stay at Balatura. The hotel is a quick walk from old town but in such a quaint and quiet location. It is a small, family run hotel, which was great for us, as we were able to get quality rest without the noise of neighbors, music, doors slamming, etc. All of the staff was extremely kind and weren’t overbearing. Breakfast is ordered the day/evening before and while a small menu, worked out well for my wife and I. The parking is down a small side road in an open, gated lot. The hotel let us keep the key for the gate the entire stay. As a side note, paying for parking is separate and they only take cash - I had to go to the ATM during check out because we thought we could pay with card; not a big deal to us, as ATMs are close by. If we ever come back to Split, we will definitely stay here again!

Our room was clean and had a nice patio with a seating area. We appreciated the AC as it only took a few minutes to cool down the room when we came in from the hot August temperatures. Dea and Mia were very helpful and provided us with excellent recommendations for a few beach days. Breakfast was fresh and we were able to dine early enough to still catch an early ferry or get out before the heat. The location is perfect for a short walk (7-8 min) to the ferry, Diocletian’s Palace and the old town and many excellent restaurants (our favorite was Madre Bistro, a family-owned place only a 3 min walk away)

A wonderful bed and breakfast close to the port! Simple but clean and excellent service from the staff. Our room was modern with strong AC. We took their offer of getting picked up from the Split airport and are glad we did as it was much easier finding the property through the walk-only area after. Breakfast was great and the front desk staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

We had a wonderful stay at Balatura Luxury homes! The rooms were comfortable, and beautifully designed with a perfect location. Everything in walking distance. The hosts are incredibily kind and hostile, a special thanks to Mia , who shared the story about Diocletianus and some other special things! The breakfast was amazing with everything "home coocked". We hope to stay here again!
