I travel a lot. This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Our suite was full of mould, smelled awful throughout the stay. It stank of mould and old urine in which the smell was coming out from The shower drain. Cleaning was substandard and some parts hadn’t been touched at all. Food was awful. Bland, poor quality and repetitive. We had to go out to other areas to eat 3 times and we paid for half board. You have to pay for expresso coffee- only instant available on half/ full board. I saw one of the waitresses hit one of the kittens that roam the resort in its back with a serving tray! She scurried into the kitchen before I could even call out! Beach is full of seaweed and the tide often very low. We never swam which was disappointing. On the beach you are constantly harassed by the local “Masai” men selling something. They literally try to call you whilst sunbathing and disturb your peace. We had to go to Nungwi and Kendwa to enjoy actual beach time with beautiful waters. Nothing to do nearby and not a walkable area to explore. Even the medical centre at the resort were pushy for money when insurance were taking care of a claim for a sick relative. I spent almost £3000 for our stay and I would not recommend at all. I complained when there to the customer care manager. She did not seem interested and did not offer any kind of solution for recompense. Best thing there was the spa treatments and the staff there who were from Egypt. They were wonderful.

Overall disappointing. Food quite basic including tinned coffee instead of fresh coffee. Not enough beach towels for guests, gym is dirty and in dire need of equipment maintenance, aircon in room was so loud it couldn’t be left on during the night , spa staff unfriendly, making coffee and boiling the kettle in the corridor and eating meals at the reception.

The room was cleaned everyday, but the food was average. Staff members weren’t friendly, and it was noisy.
