Days Inn by Wyndham Conneaut

This hotel is just a run of the mill facility. The bar and grill was nice, and the staff are kind and friendly. If I pass through this town in the future, I will look for availibilty at this hotel.

Staff was friendly and helped if we needed something. The bar was great, good food & music. Rooms weren’t bad. Bathrooms to small. Coming in from parking lot the doors were open for anyone to get in didn’t like that, usually you use your key card.

The back door was broken - no security lock. Had to request room basics that should already be there.

The hot tub didn't work.

This Conneaut Ohio Days Inn and its amenities are out dated. If your interested in convenience while traveling on I-90 and you want economy, this Days Inn will serve your needs. No pool. Lounge? The breakfast inclusion is not the typical bacon and eggs or pancakes. Coffee, cereal and convenient store pastries. Access to rooms is convenient, but not secure. Plenty of parking for auto and trucks. Perfect for late night check in and exit the next morning.

Clean hotel. Having a restaurant within was nice and it was very affordable overall.

I liked that it was pet friendly with lots of grassy area for them.

We found this property unacceptable upon arrival. No elevator and no room avail on 1st floor. I (Gail) am handicapped and could not access reserved room. Days Inn cancelled our reservation on the spot and set email confirming that. Cancellation # 90777EEO18480X. WE NEED TO BE REFUNDED BY EXPEDIA FOR THIS!

The outside doors weren't even locked. Anyone could enter. VERY limited breakfast, no coffee in the rooms, poor quality repairs, lounge not open, pool never in service for decades.

The rooms aren't bad- but there was just enough grit and grime in the bathrooms and on surfaces, that you'll want to be careful to keep all of your luggage and duffle bags off the floor. What was really bizarre was the side entrances (all exits separate from the main lobby) aren't locked. Instead there's tape over the doors locking latch, so they're permanently unlocked. Anyone that's not staying there can just stroll in! It's the weirdest thing. One of these doors were just a few feet away from my room and it seemed odd. When we asked about it, they said they've told Wyndam but were waiting on someone to come out to fix their locking mechanism. Which I get, but seems like a safety issue with tremendous potential liability. All in all the bed was comfortable, the AC was cold, the water was hot and it's shower pressure was excellent, and the TV- although odd (settings are locked so there's no way to turn on captions or view a guide you can scroll through) worked also. Plus the fridge and microwave came in handy (a must have when spending days at the beach).

Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Carpets were stained and need a good cleaning. Carpet between the bed and night stand wasn't vacuumed. The bathroom was wallpapered with a lot of it peeling off the walls.

No water available in the hotel, not in vending machines and no water fountains. This seems bad. And our carpet was dirty, dusty.

Dirty bathroom floor. Carpet had nail clippings on it, so had not been vacuumed. Bed linens were clean and bed was comfortable. Bottom of toilet also dirty. Plenty of comfortable pillows.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. The rooms are filthy. Stains on the walls and ceiling and carpet, the doors both inside and out haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Dirty hand prints all over the surfaces. The staff advised me NOT to eat at the restaurant on site, but wouldn’t elaborate why. I checked out after the first night (didn’t spend more than 10 minutes in the hotel) and they did not refund me. This place needs complete renovation and quite frankly should not be allowed to operate otherwise.

Dirty ring around the bathtub. Dirty walls and floor. Rusted door hardware. Limited and cold breakfast. Had to change one of the rooms because it was so dirty.

It was a horrible place. Starting with the outside of the building. It was visibly run down with paint missing and an overall dirtiness about it. The lobby was ok. The only good thing about it was the person checking us in. The outside doors were not secure, with tape over the locks so anyone could get in.Our room was filthy. Dust everywhere, the sheets had stains, the bathtub was rusty, there were huge areas on the wall and ceiling that had been hastily fixed due to water damage. The carpet was stained and the room had an overall strange odor. We went to the beach for a bit to talk it over about staying. We ended up checking out. It was no refunds, so I'm out that money. We were lucky to find a beautiful bed and breakfast at the last minute. A night and day experience compared to the hotel. I recommend you don't stay.

We get into the room and it’s filthy… it looked like people had been in there to make the bed and tidy up but it was still filthy. Stains on the floor, the mattress and the box springs. The tub was super dirty and what was really gross was there was dried boogers wiped on the back of the bathroom door. We saw some sort of red stain on the floor as well, we can only imagine what those were based on the condition of the rest of the room… needless to say we asked for a different room, and while this one was cleaner it wasn’t by much. Definitely will not be staying at any days inn again

Little disappointed with cleanliness especially of the bathroom. All in all though a good stay. Was quite.

Bathroom had mold in a couple areas, lamp in room had rust on the bottom. Mirrors were not clean. Bathtub had hair.

Room was very dirty. Carpet was filthy with stains to the point where you didn’t want to walk on the floor without shoes. Room very expensive for the condition it was in.

I gave 5 stars because it was a great value for the price. Staff was nice,room was clean,bed was comfy. I would stay again. However we stayed in room 120 and when I was showering i looked up and the shower up above us was leaking down through the ceiling.

Room set up was amazing, but the only things that were clean were the clearly visible, in sight objects and furniture. Turning the lampshades revealed black mold stains, the tub had black hair sticking out of the drain that was slightly clogging the drain and made the tub drain slowly. The edges of the carpet at the point where the carpet touches the flooring into the bathroom and around the jet tub had small nails sticking out of it that we stepped on with bare feet multiple times. The mirror in the bathroom had spit marks all around the sink and the mirror in the living area had hand prints and finger prints along the upper half of it. The bedspread had 2 dark brown stains on it of an unknown origin, and only the middle section of the carpet was cleaned (the edges all along the walls had dust piled on them). The shower head worked (yay!) but is literally the same head that my apartment had installed in it when I first bought it which I changed within the first 24 hours - it is the cheapest head sold at Walmart. There is only 2 light switches and with every light on you still couldn’t read a book, and don’t get me started on the number of outlets there were. One of the outlet’s top plug in was so loose it shocked me when I tried to plug my cord in, and the only other outlets were in the bathroom or the two USB’s on the entertainment stand. The leather on the couch was clean but slightly sticky to skin contact for some reason… the microwave burnt a paper food container… yikes

I remember not long ago $130 would get you a decent room, but maybe this is the new reality? The room was dated and worn, not super clean, and the air conditioner blasted freezing air even on low. Breakfast was meh.

I will start with the good things. The desk associates we interacted with were both very helpful and friendly. We had key issues and both of them were very nice and fixed the issues both times. Next, the beds were comfortable with nice pillows and bedding. The shower was also nice in that the water pressure was good and the hot water was consistent. While there were some good things, there were also some opportunities. For one, the carpet was pretty gross and our socks got dirty quickly just from walking on it. We also noticed there were water bottles left under the bed from guests before us that didn’t get cleaned out. The shower was good as far as water pressure and temperature, but the hot/cold/shower knobs were really rickety and old looking. As I turned the hot water knob, it got looser and looser. The tub also had some stains on it, but I understand they’re in the process of updating things, so hopefully those are some of the future updates. Another place they could improve is the breakfast. They do have breakfast, but just very basic things like some cereal, bagels, toast, and a few muffin and yogurt choices. For drinks they had coffee and a nice juice machine. They also had milk for cereal, but my daughter said it wasn’t very cold. One more issue we had was with noise. The walls and windows are very thin, and if there were people standing outside our window or walking in the hall having a conversation, we heard every word.

The bathrooms were pretty small.

the wifi connectivity in my room was very poor. Really unusable. I was told that when the motel is full - as it was that weekend night - the system gets overloaded. I was able to use the wifi in the bar which was fine. But not convenient.

I had to have the toilet checked in my room and they moved me for 30 minutes or so to another room. The other room was definitely upgraded! I’m beginning to think that last minute bookings via a third-party site means last-minute quality room.

Check in was quick and staff was excellent. The hotel itself is ok but the bathroom really needs update. It didn't feel clean and it's not because of the staff. The tub is just old and needs to be replaced. Otherwise bed itself was good. Location is great.

The room smelled musty, like it had been wet. The vinyl headboard was torn up. The bathroom is tiny. The TV guide channel did not match the actual channels, so we had to scroll through channels to get a news update.

Room was recently redecorated. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom very small. We would stay there again.

Passing through and stayed here for the evening. The bed was not the most comfortable and the ceiling had some good damage. Bathroom was so tiny. Didn’t stay for breakfast… front desk guy was super nice.

Excellent service….check in and check out was fast and courteous . Grounds around the property are in need of a major upgrade. The same for portions of the interior lobby and hallways. Carpeting worn and dirty. Rooms seem to be partially remodeled and clean. Electrical outlets are outdated, no computer usb ports anywhere. Some of the the lights in the room couldn’t be plugged in if you had to use the microwave or coffee maker. But the room was clean and adequate for a quick one night stay.

I had to get off the interstate at the closest hotel during some unexpected snow. The Days Inn popped up right when I needed it. It was only 1:00 p.m. but the manager, Kimmie said no problem come on in! She was amazing! Traveling alone and in an unfamiliar area I felt very safe and welcomed here! There was a chance that I was going to have to spend more than one night. Although I didn't, I would have felt very comfortable here!

Room 146 was not cleaned when I cked in & went to the room after 5 pm..they set me up in a cleaned room 136..that was only concern .. coffee & breakfast had enough to fill you..thank you..

Fairly clean but dated. Had a problem with the tv. Staff was very good at getting it figured out. Easy to get along with and very friendly.

Certainly an old property. Fresh paint in the room. Old, mismatched furniture but, that isn't what we were there for. Comfortable, friendly people. Bathroom is very small and had a LOT of dirt build up in the corner behind the door. (a pile of dirt). Other than that, quiet place to stay. Appears maybe they are upgrading? Hallway carpet and wallpaper seemed much newer than anything in the room. Clean and comfortable. Priced a little high for what it is however, nothing else in the area.

The people were so nice, friendly, and patient. Our stay was so restful. I accidentally locked my keys in my car. I called AAA to get it open. They were extremely gracious about extending our check out time considering our situation. As it turned out, the guy came early enough to check out on time. I highly recommend this business. They took good care of us.

Great location for us traveling off of 90.

The property was nice we didn’t have any issues with the room, furniture was newer. The bathroom is very tight, that was the only thing that took away from the room.

This hotel was an excellent value for the money. I pull a boat and fish Lake Erie several multi-day trips per year at both Port Clinton and Ashtabula. This place is super convenient being right off of Rt. 90, has tons of parking, is only a 1/4 mile from two huge truck stops. We stayed Sunday through Wednesday and it was very quiet, the room was large and clean and the beds were comfortable. They said at the front desk that the onsite restaurant/bar is closed Sunday-Tuesday so we did not get a chance to try that. We were up and gone before their breakfast so I can't comment on that either. Also, it is great that they don't price gouge in the summer season which most others close to the lake do. I will stay at this hotel every time I am in the area.

It was a nice place to spend the night on the way to my final destination. Close to Lake Erie. A noe town park on the lake with a beach. Good food in the area.

I like it because it's secluded from the road.

It was quiet and parking was easy. It was near the places I wanted to visit.

Very friendly staff. Very quiet. Easy access to the property.

It was the basics for what we needed for the D-Day reenactment weekend. It was clean and no complaints made it easy because was 1 miles from the park.

There were no outlets in the rooms for charging cables. The outside door didn’t lock; The architect forgot that a door needs to be in the bathroom so I had to step halfway around the toilet and sink in order for there to be enough space for the door to close. The stucco on the inside hallway was falling off. The breakfast was packaged pastries and poptarts- not nutritious, tasty or filling. The restaurant was permanently closed. Tv in bedroom only visible from one of 2 beds. Adequate for 1 night to sleep. Desk chair too low for desk height.

Overall it is good stay for one night, but don’t expect normal breakfast. This was the most ascetic breakfast I have ever had in my entire life. Even small towns had a better options than this franchise.

Nothing special. Breakfast is a joke. Stale bread and bagels, dry cereal, out of apple juice. It’s a joke.

Surprisingly underutilized hotel on 5/20. Restaurant had great hamburgers and wraps. Breakfast was very good. ( cinnamon French toast) Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here and have been happy each time. Easy on and off the highway but little to no traffic noise, they have a restaurant onsite, a decent morning breakfast and the staff is friendly. Some of the appliances, etc. are a little "tired" but overall clean and a good price. I would stay here again.

First of all, the question is. Would I stay here again on future visits to the area? The answer is yes. The hotel is nicely located close to where I need to be and it was a comfortable stay. The hotel has seen better days and is quite evident in the carpeting and other areas. Breakfast was offered, but was a selection of prepackaged muffins, breakfast bars, Poptarts. Not really a big issue and I appreciate that something was available. The Burger King across the street is no longer there. The Front Desk staff were friendly and helpful.
