The Vesper was a great find in Woodstock VT. Close to downtown to walk to everything. Rooms are spotless and charming. We would definitely stay at the Vesper BnB again.

Would not recommend. In our room at least, there was no overhead lighting, just a teeny lamp on the bedside table and a pretty bulky floor lamp that was just the lightbulb. We could not figure out heating until my husband found a heater stashed in the closet to plug in. Then, we wanted to air out the bathroom, so we had to open the window and go into the same closest and basically diy a screen. Towels were shredding and no soap for the bathroom and only half used shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Stains on the comforter too. Also, just a heads up, if you’re in the room we had there is no TV and minimal outlets. Staff was friendly but didn’t quite make up for all of the surprises we had.

The Vesper is just the right amount of historic charm mixed with a clean, modern aesthetic. Breakfast was very tasty and made better by causal conversation with other guests. The sound machine in the room and hiking suggestions were a really nice touch! 10 out of 10 would stay here again (but longer next time!).

Woodstock was wonderful as always, and the location of The Vesper cannot be beat. Although, we felt the experience was fairly mediocre. Dated and small bathrooms, no climate control whatsoever, limited breakfast and hours, no screens in windows and loud on a busy street when they are open. Won’t be revisiting.

Charming with tons of personality and character. This B&B is in the heart of downtown and has everything you need. The bed was super comfortable. Near to shopping, restaurants and local attractions. Nice place!

The stay itself was fine. We had shared bathrooms which was not ideal but expected from a BNB. However, when I first showed up to my room there was a nail protruding from the carpet which I got stuck about a half inch in my heel. This resulted in me needing to get an emergent tendinitis vaccine. I’m sure this is unusual but felt in needed to say this somewhere

We enjoyed staying at the Vesper. We were on a front room which had continual road noise through the night. But it was kind of white noise and not really loud. The internet was terrible in the room, but it was very good when I went downstairs to the common area. Coffee and tea service and continental breakfast were very nice. And self check-in was very good.

Dana and her staff were so welcoming and our experience was nothing less than perfect. My husband and I travel for a living and I feel like The Vesper is a little hidden gem that we have discovered and we look forward to staying there again. Stephanie Louris Ps.. Breakfast was so delicious!!

The lock on the door did not work. Also the room Coils use a table to put things. Like chargers cosmetics etc. Staff was excellent and very warm and friendly. Old historic house. Good for those who can walk up stairs. Good overall.

Charming quaint place with artistic decor. Care was taken with the breakfast - delicious, homemade and wonderful presentation. It felt very homey. Prompt response to my texts; excellent communication. Welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the Vesper highly.

Dana and her staff were so welcoming and our experience was nothing less than perfect. My husband and I travel for a living and I feel like The Vesper is a little hidden gem that we have discovered and we look forward to staying there again. Stephanie Louris Ps.. Breakfast was so delicious!!

The location is fabulous bc you can walk everywhere once you arrive. Beds were comfortable and great options at breakfast(the oats and fresh strawberries were my favorite)

Charming quaint place with artistic decor. Care was taken with the breakfast - delicious, homemade and wonderful presentation. It felt very homey. Prompt response to my texts; excellent communication. Welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend the Vesper highly.

The Vesper is just the right amount of historic charm mixed with a clean, modern aesthetic. Breakfast was very tasty and made better by causal conversation with other guests. The sound machine in the room and hiking suggestions were a really nice touch! 10 out of 10 would stay here again (but longer next time!).

We enjoyed staying at the Vesper. We were on a front room which had continual road noise through the night. But it was kind of white noise and not really loud. The internet was terrible in the room, but it was very good when I went downstairs to the common area. Coffee and tea service and continental breakfast were very nice. And self check-in was very good.

It was a very cute well maintained property. It is perfect if you like very little interaction from the hosts. Arrived in the dark during heavy downpour. Walked into foyer and there was no one to great us. We sat down for a few minutes and I saw a piece of paper stuck to the wall with a phone number. I texted the number and asked what we should do next. The response was that there was a note posted to a bulletin board on the exterior of the house. We made it to our room and it was comfortable. Breakfast is served for 1 hour in the morning so we made our way out there. Of course first stop would be coffee and In walked into the little kitchen and a lady approached and asked “can I help you?” With no greeting, introduction or smile. The interaction was cold and not welcoming. I don’t know who she was. The breakfast was quiet with about 8 to 10 guests there. Very uncomfortable environment.

Interesting check in. My name was on a bulletin board with directions to the room and a key in the door. No TV in the room, but that was actually kind of nice good breakfast, and the breakfast staff was friendly. Room was nice and clean and large. Check out was lock the door and leave the key in the lock.
