Motel 6-Shartlesville, PA

Holes in bedspread horrible smell of cigarettes. Flooded parking lot tiny square pillows office not in building across two parking lots. No ice maching or vending in building. Stairs up to.secondfloor are shaky and shabby. Shower was moldy

Check-in was OK, but not great. I wish they had told me about the coffee pot in the lobby, because I had thought there was a coffee pot in the room.

The key card didn’t work to open the door. I went to office and was told I was doing it wrong. Went back to my room and tried again with no luck. The man from the office let me in with a master key. If I hadn’t been just sleeping and leaving, I would have been more upset.

This stay was mostly excellent despite the key card issue. The issue was like when I stayed up in Hamburg, NY as I tried tapping the card a few times, and the light would be red. So, I had to go to the front desk, and they were able to reissue a new key card--it worked on the first try. Sleeping was excellent, and the shower was was just right. However, there was a big cobweb on the ceiling in the shower in Room 411. Hopefully, housekeeping would be attentive to that detail. Other than that, the stay went very well, and the area is quaint.

Clerk was really nice,the location was kinda out of the way. The facility is really dated. The room I was in #407 was on the backside and parking is really small and tight. Room is very dated there was a post card taped to the wall to hide a punch hole.

No ice bucket. Ice is in office and you are given a thin plastic bag to transport it back to the room but it breaks and when you get to the room there is nowhere to put a broken bag of ice. Shower drain missing grate. Sink missing drain stopper. No security lock on door. Curtains stained (by bleach ?)

You get what you pay for. ($77), but we didn't expect the non-smoking room to smell like an ashtray, a hole punched in the wall, in DIRE need of paint, holes in the bedspread, windows partially painted over. Outside stairs going to the room were poorly lit and twice as many as needed (no depth.. trip hazard). Old mattresses and debris by the dumpster, which was in plain sight. No breakfast of any kind (coffee) and the ice maker was in the office, which was a separate building. It would take minimal effort to bring this rating up. Fix holes, PAINT the rooms, air out the 'no smoking' rooms and clean up the property. Staff was friendly, which is the only real positive. Inexpensive shouldn't be this much of a sacrifice for the expectation of a decently maintained room and property.

Smells like a dead body was just in the room before you checked in. Flies everywhere, stains on bed, stains on the walls, stains on the floors. “Non smoking” but everything smells like cigarettes mixed with armpits. Literally the most disgusting place I’ve ever seen and we spent one night out of two just because we ended up getting there too late to find a new place to sleep. I ate the cost of the second night and got a hotel you couldn’t pay me to spend a second night in this disgusting place.

Very clean , staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable, only reason for 4 stars was the shower head and tiny toilet and dark tv picture, but it wasn’t a big deal. All in all I’d stay there again.

Cockroaches, flies, stink bugs, yellow jackets, infestation. Disgusting. Filthy rooms. Bugs everywhere. Smelled of smoke. I will never come here again. Calling the board of health on them.

I checked in and promptly checked out and the person behind the counter was too busy eating to care about my complaints. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Everything was extremely dirty including pillows, bed washroom. And lots of smelly rooms. Lots of flies as well. I know that was cheaper but, health wise was really not safe for children as well.

Kept getting our room moved roaches were crawlung on us as we slept rooms need extensive rehabilition bathroom ceilings falling apart, holes in walls

The room was mostly clean, but in very poor shape. Knobs falling off of doors, trim missing, broken tiles, mold on ceiling, blinds broken etc Fridge and microwave looked brand new, sheets felt and smelled clean. Requested a handicap room weeks in a advance but my father still had to walk up several steps.

Old smelly hotel. Lock on door broken, no chair in room and minimum amenities.

I travel often and always stay at Motel 6 locations and this is the nicest one I've ever stayed at. Most Motel 6 locations are the same and very stripped down but this one was a step above with nicer furniture, a full stand up shower, larger sized refrigerator and a microwave. Plus it had actual real 100's of channels cable. If Motel 6 were to start having Motel 6 Plus locations this one would rate it.

The bed is too low, blanket is full of cigarette burns. It smells musty. Ac smells. It not only needs cleaning real good but also needs upgrades, new carpet/flooring, painting. You have to run the shower for a while until the hot water finally gets Luke warm after 20 mins when your shower is over! Very noisy.

It had 2 beds and one bed was broke. Walls were dirty and peeling. The room had a slider door for an entry and it was hard to open and close. Shower was very tiny and dirty. Very small microwave and refrigerator.

No sprinkler system in the room and the smoke alarm was in a draw. We could not lock the door.

The room was clean. Some repairs seem in order.

You get what you pay for. We stayed there, and actually had a great nights sleep. Little aggravated I use a walker and was put on the 2nd floor. Front desk associate noticed and told me that if we wanted to "Upgrade" to a1st floor Accessible Suite, we could, it would just DOUBLE the price of the expedia booking. . In my opinion, if this room was available, it should've been granted to us no upgrade fee required. It's ok, I used my cane and made it up the stairs carrying my luggage. Just took a while. . When I walked into the room, there were 3 bugs/flies in the room. Two were legit flies....The third one, we don't know if it was a cockroach on the counter or not. We a tissue, flushed it and are giving the place the benefit of the doubt that they flew in while I was entering the room (again, I have a cane, with my bag, so it's a little bit slower than others). . After that, the towels were thicker and higher quality than we anticpated. The pillows were super thin, which is what we expected. The shower looked like it could've been scrubbed better...but we looked at it this way. We usually stay at a cabin in the local campground. This room was cheaper than the cabin. When we stay in the cabin, we have to walk to the bathouse. The bathroom was as clean as the bathouse. So to have the bathroom in the room with was a bonus. The AC was brand new, however it wasn't sealed to the room and you could literally see outside. Maybe thats where the bugs came from? Room 417.

This is the second time im staying here in a short while. The staff is excellent. They go above and beyond. I wish i knew the gentlemans name that was running the front desk. I would put it here so everyone knew that hes an excellent employee. Polite. He goes absove and beyond

The desk attendant was pleasant and helpful even though I was checking in late (midnight). The room was clean and it was quiet the night I stayed. I couldn’t get the TV to connect to cable but it was so late I gave up quickly. I would stay here again.

Conveniently located by interstate 78 a short drive to many different eateries and activities

I decided to visit Dorneypark for their Halloween Haunt, but I was at least a five-hour drive away from home, so I got a hotel room that was only 30 miles away. I had a full day at the park without needing to drive all those miles.

Solid motel. Based on the price it was exactly what I expected. My sheets and towels were clean and the shower was hot. There is a restaurant right across the road to grab coffee and food

It was convenient the room has Ac, Microwave, refrigerator in a quiet please. Staff was very kind.

What a pleasant place to spend a night... or more. The motel is in a beautiful area, tucked away in the cute little town of Shartlesville. The room is well equip with the expected amenities (fridge, microwave, and a TV with premium cable). Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

The backdrop right next to the road behind the highway is breathtaking in terms of the view and pleasantry perfectly representing the beauty of rural Pennsylvania. Right next to an incredible diner called Blue Mountain, a winery, a small casino in the lobby area, and an ice cream shop all within walking distance. For the price it would be foolish for anyone to spend lots of money on a brand name hotel like Hilton in the area when this is available.

Filthy dirty exterior littered with trash. Inside no bureau with drawers, just an empty 15 foot wall with a TV in the middle of it. No coffee in the room or in the office
