I fell in love with this hotel, I come every week to Gunnison for work. I used to enjoy the comfort inn but the staff interaction is just painful. Every time I come to quality inn, the person who checks me in is just so enthusiastic it becomes contagious. I also appreciate the gym and hot tub every time I stay here.

It was a quick overnight on the way to another destination. It was a very busy night for the hotel and the parking lot was full. Room was clean and the area was quiet. Breakfast had a good variety but not plentiful for the number of people at the hotel.

No one was there to check us in. We had to wait 20 minutes. It was noisy, dog barking, water running, people walking, and traffic. The washing machine didn’t work and had to wring clothes by hand. It took 5 hours to do one load. Not a pleasant stay.

It was nice that the bedside lamp had electrical receptacles, however these receptacles were worn out and wouldn't hold a plug. They did not work. The lamp needs to be replaced. There was also a clock with usb charging ports, but it was unplugged or broken (dead) and we were too tired to excavate the area to find the problem. Breakfast area was very cramped, coffee was too strong and eggs, if they are even really eggs, were some sort of strange frothy thing. Parts of the parking lot were cramped. I'm not really sure how people got in and out. The bed.... well when in hotels we usually get two queens because we don't want to disturb each other and you never really know what sort of bed you'll get... Well, I never thought I'd wake my wife getting in and out of a separate bed, but this thing sounded like a whoopie cushion or something. A loud creaking sound every time I got in or out... woke the wife in the other bed. It seemed like the quality didn't justify the price, but they seemed to fill up, so I guess they can get it, summer time in the mountains.

Trash cans in the parking lot area overfull, parking lot not cleaned up, walkway into mid hotel first floor entry not clean, carpet inside along hallway leading to rooms very dirty, the step up into the bathroom in the room is a tripping hazard, poorly lit rooms, rooms not real clean, bathroom needed complete upgrade, TV would arbitrarily change channels on its own, etc. Just not a very good hotel. Don't know how it got the 8.6 rating by previous patrons but that rating is well overrated. I would not stay in this hotel again.

I have stayed here 3 of my last 4 visits to Gunnison. I have enjoyed their excellent service, whether prompt airport shuttle pickup or early check in, I have found my stay there excellent. Would stay there again. In addition, Jennifer at the front desk was very friendly.

The property was very convenient and the staff were very nice. My room had spider cobwebs in the room ans bathroom. The vent fan in the bathroom was squealing loud when running and 2 out of 4 times leaving my room the hallway smelt like a marijuana factory. But otherwise it wasn't that bad of a place to stay.

Front desk was awesome! Very friendly and accommodating and informative . Clean rooms. Nice breakfast selection and was replenished seemed fresh. For some reason our TV would change channels on its own and was hard to use? Furniture in bedrooms are old and scratched could use an upgrade.

I was greeted at check in by a very pleasant gentleman. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. All staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast offered lots of good items. Nice park to walk around across the street.

It was a quick overnight on the way to another destination. It was a very busy night for the hotel and the parking lot was full. Room was clean and the area was quiet. Breakfast had a good variety but not plentiful for the number of people at the hotel.

Rooms were clean and neat. Tv signal poor and kept going out of service. Ice rink across from hotel made it very noisy also stayed on bottom floor and could hear upstairs all night walking around

Great location, it’s within walking distance of downtown and Western Colorado university. There’s a park across the street and I was traveling with my dog so that was very convenient. The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Despite a little mixup with the room (which after some back and forth the hotel staff finally agreed was their mistake (well, one of their vendors apparently)), the stay was great! The staff was very friendly overall, and after the room mix-up and free upgrade, they did come to my room to apologize in person which was nice. The room and bed was comfortable, and the breakfast options were good. Love me a waffle. I was upset on my second morning when I got there 30 minutes before it ended and the waffle batter was gone and wasn't refilled. Overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay over July 4 weekend because the fireworks show was in the park next door so it was pretty much right over the hotel, and it's only 30 minutes from Crested Butte.

The hotel was in a convenient location for visiting the National Parks, but this hotel wasn’t as nice. The key maker wasn’t working when we got there, so we had to have an employee let us into the rooms whenever we were going back into the rooms. The breakfast didn’t have any hot options, and the things there didn’t look good, so we went somewhere else to eat.

I booked this hotel because of the high reviews. Typically I would never book a Quality Inn. I found this hotel to be fairly dirty and not well kept up. The breakfast looked absolutely horrible so I ate at a restaurant 7 blocks away. There was an old tissue jammed into my peep hole inside my room. Not sure why, maybe the peep hole no longer existed. I didn't want to touch the dirty tissue to find out. Perhaps it just wasn't cleaned after the last guest or perhaps it was placed there by maintenance as a their idea of a repair. The bedding looked and felt dirty. The top cover didn't appear to have been washed and was stained. I felt uncomfortable sleeping in the bed because of this. Perhaps this is all normal for the Quality Inn brand... I mistakenly thought this one was decent because I saw a high rating.

There’s no elevator. The hot breakfast was runt eggs and awful coffee. There was a two inch metal riser between the bathroom old tile and room laminate flooring that caused stubbed toes multiple times. Oooch!! The furniture was dinged, scarred old. The room is tiny with barely enough space to get around the bed. Very small and limited number of parking spaces. No idea how this hotel got 4 stars. Barely desires 2.
