Amazing staff and location. Parking is a little tight so careful if you have a large SUV. Breakfast is minimal with a muffin, juice, waffle maker. Great coffee machine and cucumber water round the clock. Very close to beach. Cute little pool and most rooms had balcony/walk out. Hotel is a bit dated, but comfortable bed and great to have a microwave and refrigerator.

The place is under construction. Wasn’t told anything about it. Contractors using the elevator so you have to wait for them or use the stairs. A lot of the parking lot is blocked off for them. Have to park across the street in downtown parking lot. The pool is closed due to the construction.

Very nice location but the hotel urgently needs a makeover. Old furniture, with only one chair by the breakfast table! Beds were comfortable. Wash bowl had a serious drainage issue, water going down super slow! The so called "breakfast" is nothing to get up for. Coffee was good. Pool not heated but still enjoyable. Most annoying was the fire alarm going off announcing there was a fire in the building asking to use the stairs to evacuate the building, which got us out of bed running out in a panic only to find out it was a "TEST". The location is really good, and we may go back but probably not staying at the same hotel.

Hotel was an excellent value for the location. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping. The property was very dated. The curtain rod in our room was lopsided and not secure to the wall. The min fridge was old and dented. The hallway paint was scuffed and dingy. There was not base molding along the floor in the hallway, which caused dirt and debris to collect between the wall and floor. There was a nice coffee machine in the lobby with fresh drinks available 24/7. Breakfast in the lobby was sparse and unappealing.

Excellent location. Breakfast offering is pathetic. Cleanliness is questionable. Exhust vent in Room 212 flithy. Housekeeping missed our room one day with no explanation. Holes in walls of corridor in second floor could easily be fixed. Trash in the front garden stayed there for four days. It is like no one takes pride in the place which is a shame.

Very old and dated. Dark and dreary. Not inviting. Large dark and unmatched furniture and window coverings. Drapes too long and covered air conditioner. Some furniture even placed in front of windows and mirrors. Uncomfortable furniture around pool and pool area/furniture not set up each day. Room was so smelly we had to keep balcony door open. Bathroom disgusting, moldy, poor lighting. Large laundry/garbage carts always left in main corridor so guest had to walk around them. Terrible breakfast selection, just do it yourself waffles and bowl of apples. Popcorn machine always empty. Hard to park. Luggage carts stored in front of door to front lobby balcony so you couldn't even step out on lobby balcony. Slow elevator. The only good thing about this place was the location.

They were under construction so im sure i didn't get to see the best of it. The construction wasn't the issue, the cleanliness of my room was. There was hair on the sheets, previous visitors food in the fridge, which i don't know which previous one. Finally I stepped on a screw in my bathroom barefooted. I told the hotel staff about it and they said they would have a meeting about it with other staff to discuss what needs to be improved, obviously not the only response that should be given

There was a smell in the room. The floor was a wooden floor that seemed like it was just mopped before we got there because it stayed damp the entire weekend. I think that attributed to the smell.

They have construction for remodeling going on which we were aware of going into the stay. However, the rooms were filthy. Bathroom still had head hair and pubic hair on the floor and in the bathtub. The bedroom floor was a dirty as well. The highlight was the bed. The most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. If the room would’ve just been clean, it would have made the stay much more comfortable. The overall setup of the hotel is cool too. Unique layout and views. I hate to give such a bad rating but the cleanliness was just awful.

Nice boutique hotel in walkable distance to shops and restaurants. When you enter the hotel there’s a mildewy smell but it doesn’t carry into the room. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean.

Room was large and the bed was so comfy. Loved the sheets. The staff was great and told us how to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Very nice area but you had to drive to a beach.

We had a balcony facing the light house. It was beautiful but without blackout curtains the light pulsed in our room keeping us awake. Who doesn't have blackout curtains!? Furniture was placed to optimize large groups and was awkward. The rooms floors were covered in sand and sticky but the bathroomwas reasonableif you ignorethe fact that the floor hadn't been mopping between stays. Don't even bother with breakfast the self serve coffee machine, apple and packaged muffin isn't worth the trip but if you want close to the beach and reasonable prices this is it.

The stay was fine. The location was excellent, the rooms were quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is in the heart of the pier/lighthouse area, and it was perfect for walking to restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The rooms were clean but very much in need of updating. We didn’t interact much with the staff, but when we did, they were professional and courteous. I might stay here again, but it was not a memorable stay.

Location is great. Hotel is beautiful. Everything is perfect except for the AC/Heat. It is so LOUD. It was a cold February night (40s) and we had to turn off the heat to sleep b/c it was so loud.

Ocean Inn is in a great location for access to all that St. Simon’s has to offer. Our room was spacious with a great view. While very comfortable, decor and fixtures could use updating for a more current and functional look.

All was great, except there was never anyone at the front desk to check in or out at our stay. Had to wait 15 mins for someone to come front desk to check in. Was not anyone at front desk when tried to check out, so left my key on the desk and left.

Robert at the front desk was terrible. We arrived early and he said our room would be ready at 2:00pm. When we returned he had no idea who we were and told us again room would available shortly. There were other guest waiting on their room as well. He was on a personal call which was very loud and not professional at all. We waited for 1 1/2 hour and then decided to go spend a couple hours at the beach before we came back to check if room was available. Also bathroom was not clean. Mold all over the shower. Very disappointed as I had stayed there 2 1/2 years ago and really enjoyed it. Not coming back.

This is a very cute, boutique hotel across from the ocean. Unfortunately, when we were there, renovation was happening and we were given a make shift room directly behind the front desk. The room was very odd with a long hallway, a strange door leading to an office, a separate bathroom door and a very small bed in a room. No balcony, no view. We were told it was the only room left. If we could go back and have another “normal” room, I might leave a better review. However, the staff was top notch!

The worst service I have ever experienced . I had to actually pay a staff member $20 just to get bath towels. The next day no one came to clean the room at all. My wife called down to the front desk to speak with the staff about this. The front desk lady stated they are short staffed . The manager of the hotel Rob arrives on the property knock on our door and said we were criminally trespassing. I was appalled, his front desk staff lied and the cleaning lady lied completely and stated I called them derogatory names. The manager said he has cameras everywhere. I asked him to review the cameras and footage to see I did not say anything derogatory towards his staff. Rob said my wife and I had 20 minutes to leave the property. The manger and staff at the hotel are very unprofessional, untruthful. My wife and I have never been treated like this before in all of our travels.

The worst service I have ever experienced . I had to actually pay a staff member $20 just to get bath towels. The next day no one came to clean the room at all. My wife called down to the front desk to speak with the staff about this. The front desk lady stated they are short staffed . The manager of the hotel Rob arrives on the property knock on our door and said we were criminally trespassing. I was appalled, his front desk staff lied and the cleaning lady lied completely and stated I called them derogatory names. The manager said he has cameras everywhere. I asked him to review the cameras and footage to see I did not say anything derogatory towards his staff. Rob said my wife and I had 20 minutes to leave the property. The manger and staff at the hotel are very unprofessional, untruthful. My wife and I have never been treated like this before in all of our travels.

This is a lovely inn with a great location and wonderful staff. Located directly across from Neptune Park, Ocean Inn is within walking distance of so many great restaurants, shops, the pier, the lighthouse, and a small beach. Every member of the staff was friendly and made us feel that they were truly happy to have us staying with them. Our room was wonderful - large with a balcony that could fit two chairs comfortably. Each of the rooms is named after a type of turtle - cute touch. The king bed was very comfortable and room had a small sofa and chair.

The staff at this property was awesome! They were so helpful, even though they were pulled in every direction because of a staff shortage. Management was helping staff to get everything done for guests and the staff shortage was settled quickly. In the future I would rather a hotel not have any smoking areas, however, here several guests smoked while on their balcony and others at the pool. The price was the reason I chose this hotel and it’s location is great. Again, the best staff!

This was the most inconvenient attempt to check in at hotel we have ever had. The Manager cancelled our reservation as we were attempting to check in. We arrived early. Front desk said come back at 2pm. We did. Then was repeatedly told we can’t check in until 4pm. We waited in lobby and watched numerous guest get checked in. When we asked front desk said nothing she can do since we booked with 3rd Party app. Asked if anyway we can get into room. They referred to 4pm policy as we watched more people check in. Again, nothing they can do? Manager came out. Didn’t problem solve. Just said same thing. We asked to use pool and the Manager just said they are cancelling our reservation. We never raised our voices, cussed, or made unreasonable request. We always use 3rd party app and never pushed to back of line or had prepaid reservation cancelled. Good news….We got better hotel at better price and checked in before 4pm. Now waiting for full refund.

We liked the character of Ocean Inn & Suites. Its location near Pier Village was very favorable. Easy walking distance to the park, pier, shops and dining. We definitely will return again soon.

Location, location, location! Ocean Inn & Suites is located in the absolute perfect spot. Walking distance to everything and our car stayed parked our whole stay. The hotel is clean, quiet and the rooms are spacious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We stayed for Independence Day and never once had to deal with traffic because everything was so close. We’ll stay here again for sure!

This hotel brought a great little town cozy feel. We had a view of the lighthouse from our balcony window, which was perfect. We were also pleased to know that we were right across the street from a playground, mini-golf place, and large community pool. The hotel was very conveniently located between the beach, nice local restaurants, and downtown shopping. We really enjoyed our stay!

The breakfast selection was poor. Choice was a waffle you made yourself, apple, orange, choice of the different flavor muffins, coffee (from a machine), orange juice and water. We stayed from Saturday until Wednesday and they had signs that stated "Excess our mess we are doing some construction to our facility" We did not see one construction worker the whole time we stayed there. The safe in the room did not work, the shower water selection knob was loose and leaked. The water pressure was really low in the shower and we were on the first floor of the hotel. The hotel parking is on the ground level. One plus is the hotel is within walking distance to the pier, the lighthouse, shopping area and many restaurants. Front staff was helpful but none of them had any uniform or even a shirt to show they working there. Not professional. I worked for a large hotel management company for many years and I would give this hotel a four out of ten rating.

Excellent location. Breakfast offering is pathetic. Cleanliness is questionable. Exhust vent in Room 212 flithy. Housekeeping missed our room one day with no explanation. Holes in walls of corridor in second floor could easily be fixed. Trash in the front garden stayed there for four days. It is like no one takes pride in the place which is a shame.

Hotel was an excellent value for the location. It was convenient to restaurants and shopping. The property was very dated. The curtain rod in our room was lopsided and not secure to the wall. The min fridge was old and dented. The hallway paint was scuffed and dingy. There was not base molding along the floor in the hallway, which caused dirt and debris to collect between the wall and floor. There was a nice coffee machine in the lobby with fresh drinks available 24/7. Breakfast in the lobby was sparse and unappealing.

Super comfy! Great views! Easy walk to everything. Would love to return after renovations are complete. Breakfast is so-so. Would expect more from a luxury hotel. Check in early to avoid the “I don’t do much” evening crew, that can’t even bother to look up. Love the wood floors and balcony. Wish they had coffee and a couple bottles of water in the room.

When we arrived and went to the lobby we could see they were under construction. Check in was great. Front desk was very nice. When we got to our floor the halls were a total construction zone. When we walked in our room first thing I noticed was the mirrors were not clean and the floors look like they had been stripped. Definitely did not look like the photos on the website. The chairs in the room were very dirty looking. The toilet barely flushed. No way was I staying there. Front desk was extremely helpful in refunding us. Maybe once the renovation is complete it will be cleaner but for now, it’s a hard pass.

We called ahead about arriving around 9–10 PM and were assured someone was at the front desk 24/7. We arrived to parking areas filled with construction materials and an empty lobby. We rang the bell repeatedly, waited, and even called the hotel while standing at the desk, hearing the phone ring unanswered. After nearly 25–30 minutes searching for someone, I found the employee outside on a balcony smoking and playing games on his phone. He apologized and mentioned his mother was having surgery the next day, but smelled strongly of what appeared to be marijuana. The card reader wasn’t working, so our credit card information had to be manually taken, which made me uncomfortable given the circumstances. The hotel is also undergoing a MUCH heavier renovation than expected. Signs said renovations would end May 31, yet construction was still extensive in August. There was noise, debris and construction materials throughout. Our room had bottle caps/debris on the floor, a non-functioning refrigerator and holes/unfinished areas in the walls. We understand renovations happen, but this property does not seem ready to operate normally during this level of construction. We weren’t expecting luxury—just a clean, functional room and basic service. Unfortunately, even those basics were missing.

The staff was very friendly. Check-in and out was a breeze . It’s an older motel and it shows but it is being renovated so that is a plus. The pool was right below our balcony. Parking is under the hotel and not many spaces. Unless you have a compact car, you probably aren’t parking there. There is public parking across the street. .. but not always close. Everything is within walking distance so that is a plus! If the tide is out, you can walk a short distance and be on the beach. Wouldn’t recommend swimming there, but certainly good for just a leisurely walk. The mirrors and balcony doors could have been washed a little better. the bathroom light was not bright so had to leave the connecting door open to be able to see while showering. The shower would squeal for just a bit when first started but then would stop. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner worked great! We didn’t eat breakfast so I can’t comment on that. Overall I would certainly stay here again
