Golden Rock Dive and Nature Resort

This is a huge resort. They have an electric "train" to take you to the more distant points. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I liked the balcony. The bathroom has both a shower and a bathtub. There are two restaurants. Bobbie's is open for dinner on Thursday through Saturday. Breeze is open for breakfast and for dinner on Sunday through Wednesday. It's a beautiful property, but isolated. They can arrange an island tour, though, which I recommend.

Our stay was 11-days. From the quick WhatsApp replies as we planned our stay to the complimentary airport shuttle, the staff is kind and accommodating. Wi-Fi worked great. Cottage was beautifully decorated and clean. Bathroom had double sink and large shower; bed was comfortable; adequate space for clothes and getting suitcases up out of the way. I was fortunate to receive a tour of other accommodations and all of them had large bathrooms, lots of built-in storage and appealing decor. The grounds are stunning! The amenities: gym and pools are very nice. A bit disappointing that there wasn’t a yoga instructor in the beautiful open air studio. My husband was pleased with his diving experience including skills of the crew. I can’t say enough about the staff: Victor, Tipsy and Jim made our stay extra special. The Michelin Key is well deserved. It’s truly a world class resort and far exceeded our expectations on a tiny little island in the Caribbean.

Positief: het hotel heeft een prachtige ligging met leuke huisjes en een heerlijk zwembad op mooi terrein. Negatief: - We hadden ruim en kort van tevoren (dubbelgecheckt) een ophaaltijd afgesproken. We hebben een half uur in de brandende zon moeten wachten langs de weg, want ze hadden het te druk met andere zaken, werd ons n - Waar waren de welmstdrankjes? - Je moet je bagage in de brandende zon zelf het terrein overzeulen naar je kamers. Bagage (en jijzelf) wordt na aankomst niet naar je huisje gebracht. - Geen badlakens bij zwembad aanwezig. Werden niet (tijdig) aangevuld. - Slechte service bij het zwembad. Bijna geen drankjes kunnen bestellen daar, terwijl we daar wel behoefte aan hadden. - Dichtsbijzijnde toiletten bij het zwembad waren out of order. - Er waren zonnebrandmelk pompjes aanwezig. Deze waren gedurende het verblijf leeg. - Ventilatie badkamer kapot. Volgende dag kregen we geen koffie en water op de kamer aangevuld. Vieze drinkglazen werden niet vervangen. - Overal bij ons terras zag je lelijk wit plastic onder het grind uitkomen. Dat gaf een onnatuurlijke uitstraling. - Op de dag van vertrek kon onze deur 's ochtends vroeg al niet meer op slot, terwijl wij nog niet weg waren. Wij hebben niet gekregen wat we van deze prijs mochten verwachten (hoge segment). Het viersterrenhotel heeft een Michelin Key, maar juist de service en prijs-kwaliteitverhouding heeft naar onze ervaring te wensen overgelaten.

We were very pleased with our stay at Golden Rock Resort. Lovely facilities, beautiful weather, and incredibly friendly staff. A great place to relax and dive. We would definitely stay here again.
