We didn’t spend much time at the hotel. We were in Brainard for the BIR muscle car races. The only down fall was we were out for a long day at the track and were looking forward to sitting in the hot tub when we returned to the hotel. The hot tub was closed by 9:00 pm. Another time we had a break from the races in the middle of the day so came back to swim and use the hot tub but it was closed from 1-4 pm.

A room comes with 4 water park passes, if you are a family with 5 or 6 be prepared to pay EXTRA for them each day. Water park is only open from 4-9 on weekdays can't access pool before then. The omelettes can be obtained by request, cold to be heated yourself. No bacon or sausage,

Great Hotel and water park! Make sure you check waterpark schedule, it closed on Wednesdays. and Thursday mornings, so plan accordingly. On Wednesday we went to Safari Zoo, kids were happy!

The updated water park is great, the flooring really does wonders for little kids to prevent slipping. Our only complaint is the level of chlorine in the pool area. My children and I started coughing and had burning eyes from the chlorine. They finally started to warn people if they were getting red,rash or cough to leave the pool area for fresh air. This is concerning.

The chlorine in the water park was so bad that we had to leave. Kids coughing and crying, it was that terrible. Paid nearly $300 to use the park for an hour. Not worth it at all.

Although our kids (all 12 and under) really enjoyed the waterpark, the chlorine levels in th3 pool area burned your eyes upon walking in. After one full day, two of our little swimmers suffered chlorine burns. The hotel was pleasant and clean, but not quiet. Which we plan for when visiting such a kid friendly place. It was only the chlorine levels that will keep us from visiting this location again.

They reconstructed some of the waterpark area and my kids were not impressed. They took away the basketball hoop which seemed to get used a lot before. We have a family of 5 and they only allow 4 wristbands with the room so that was a huge disappointment! We like the outdoor hot tub and the room is nice. They do close the waterpark for a couple hours mid day.

Thr bathroom was so dirty. It had hair every where. I toilet part near the floor had dried up urine on it. There is so dust on the fridge i wrote mt name in it. Behind the dressers has a crap ton of wrappers, by the bed found cerriros and hair pins. The room didn't even look loke the cleaner did anything,i dought she even changed the beds. Never again will i pay 200 dollars to stay there. Thr front desk kid did move us rooms, not much better at all. We used the waterpark and let. Waste of money

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pool area was extremely well-kept and hot tub was very nice with an indoor/outdoor area. Slides were fun. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I really liked how laid-back the atmosphere was. Breakfast was great and the hotel had a small market for snacks/drinks. Very relaxing stay!

Very clean and updated room. Bedding was very comfortable. Other reviews mention the small TV, but we could see it just fine from bed. Waterpark very clean and like new too! Perfect for any age and there is a pool area that older kids/adults would find adequate. Arcade and fitness room but we did not use. Usual breakfast options, area was kept clean and well stocked. Overall super great value and I'd stay here again!

Breakfast was good and staff helpful. The poor mark was the cleanliness of the room. There was a hairband and what looked like a piece of balloon on the floor by the nightstand. Made me question how well the room was cleaned.

Staff was not rude, but sure didnt seem like they wanted to be there. No good mornings, how was your stay etc. Hotel carpet is not very clean so keep your shoes on. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good, although, when came to get coffee an employee was there and was coughing directly at the coffee machine not covering his mouth. The pancake machine wouldn't work so when i went to front desk she seemed a bit put out and said she had changed it. She replaced it and it was fine but sensed some attitude there. That is what prompted this review. That and the check out when the employer didnt ask how stay was and seemed a bit put out. Waterpark wasn't open so can't comment on that. Probably wouldnt stay here again especially since many hotels in that area to choose from.

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean this facility was for a family/water park place. Staff was on top of everything. Breakfast has a good variety. Would like to see refillable soap and shampoos.

This is the second time I've stayed at this property and both times there have been issues with the features of my room. The first time, I had a room with a whirlpool/hot tub bath. Of course, higher price. It didn't work. It made for a nice large bathtub, but the whirlpool didn't function. Things happen. This time, I opted for a room with a fireplace. Higher price. You guessed it, fireplace didn't work. Hmmm. They offered to put me in a different fireplace room, but after getting settled in, it really is a hassle to move. Didn't offer to discount the price. Fine, whatever, I'm tired. Went to the ice machine on my floor - didn't work. Talked to the staff, and had to go downstairs, near the waterpark to get ice - hassle. To their credit, staff was friendly and responsive, but couldn't do much. I go to Baxter every October for business. I probably won't stay here again

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Rapid River Lodge and thought it was a nice place to stay. We thought the breakfast was okay and we were disappointed in the internet. We were constantly disconnected and there were times it would take 10 to 15 minutes to get re-connected.

Overall the hotel is great. I asked for a room NOT near the water park or ice machine. I was across the hall from both. Room 120! When I asked to have my room switch they wouldn’t do it. ☹️

Our overall stay was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious. But except for a desk chair, there was nowhere to sit. The in room coffee pot made coffee so weak I could see the bottom of the cup. The one true complaint is the noise in the hallway by the elevator. That's not really something the hotel controls, but from our room we heard everyone coming and going from the elevatorn including some very loud conversations from people coming back after midnight. The breakfast was very nice and much like what you would find at a Hampton Inn. I would stay there again, if I could be away from the elevator.

I was too close to the water park on the first floor even though I wasn’t going to use it. A bit too noisy and too much foot traffic. Also my room was across from the ice machine, so there was constant noise.

We left a valuable item in our room accidentally and the staff called to notify us and mailed it to our home. They went above and beyond. The room was nice, bed comfortable and quieter than we expected.

If you want a water park, this is fine Price is high for the quality. After a long day traveling, staff was not welcoming and when problem with Air conditioning was brought to the desk clerk, she wanted to check for herself and said it was working fine and I needed to wait longer for it to cool (after I had been in the room for 20 minutes waiting already).. It never properly cooled the room (on a 90 degree and humid day. It was not cold air blowing out it was musty room temp air that only cooled slightly but not enough to allow for good sleep. Unfortunately - the unwelcoming clerk
If you want a water park, this is fine Price is high for the quality. After a long day traveling, staff was not welcoming and when problem with Air conditioning was brought to the desk clerk, she wanted to check for herself and said it was working fine and I needed to wait longer for it to cool (after I had been in the room for 20 minutes waiting already).. It never properly cooled the room (on a 90 degree and humid day. It was not cold air blowing out it was musty room temp air that only cooled slightly but not enough to allow for good sleep. Customer service was excellent - everyone was helpful, courteous and kind! The pool area was very family friendly for all ages and staff was so pleasant! Very impressed with our weekend stay at Rapid River Lodge!

When we made the reservation, we accidentally made it for the wrong day. We got in late at night and had a long day. However, the gal at the front desk was still able to make accommodations and was extremely understanding, quick and friendly. The prices were great, room was very clean and they offered all eco-friendly products.

Staff was not rude, but sure didnt seem like they wanted to be there. No good mornings, how was your stay etc. Hotel carpet is not very clean so keep your shoes on. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good, although, when came to get coffee an employee was there and was coughing directly at the coffee machine not covering his mouth. The pancake machine wouldn't work so when i went to front desk she seemed a bit put out and said she had changed it. She replaced it and it was fine but sensed some attitude there. That is what prompted this review. That and the check out when the employer didnt ask how stay was and seemed a bit put out. Waterpark wasn't open so can't comment on that. Probably wouldnt stay here again especially since many hotels in that area to choose from.

Water park was fun and clean! Didn’t have a heavy chlorine smell! Staff overall was very nice and accommodating. Only issue we had, was the lady working the breakfast area was unkind and impatient. She got noticeably frustrated at multiple people who maybe didn’t understand how to use the pancake machines. She made a rude comment to my 6 year old who obviously didn’t realize he was accidentally making 8 pancakes. He pressed the start button too many times and she got mad. She looked at him and rudely said “are you seriously going to eat 8 pancakes?” I then quickly walked over and said I don’t think he did it on purpose but we won’t waste them don’t worry. The next morning same thing happened with a few other families and she got very upset.

From the minute we walked in, the front desk lady was rude to not only us but the new girl behind the desk as well. There was a little bit of miscommunication on the room and the girl needed help just for her to be yelled at and barely helped so we had to stand there checking in for nearly 20 minutes. We then went and checked out the water park and for the price we paid there should have been way more tubes out to go down the slide/lazy river. The pool attendants were not doing their job, instead decided they were going to stand behind the counter and talk about what shoes they had on their feet. Every person we had swimming had on bands but they still insisted on kicking out the two people we had with that were fully clothed, watching the one year old baby, clearly not about to swim anytime soon. As well as the water park not being worth it, there were no towels. And the staff told us they couldn’t grab any just for us to walk around the counter and there was a whole stack of them. They couldn’t just go grab them? Especially knowing the water park was closing and multiple people would need towels. Work on hiring better staff that actually know how to treat your guests, especially for the price you charge.

We really like the convenient location of the property near the Brainerd/Baxter area. There are lots of good breakfast food options. My only suggestion for the breakfast area would be to add drinking water. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. We didn't get time to use the waterpark this time around, but we have used it before and we really like it.

Great stay here. Convenient location right off the highway but very quiet. Walkable dining options, plenty, awesome staff and the waterpark was so much fun. Breakfast was great with lots of choices. I will definitely be back.

This is our 3rd summer visiting this hotel! We come annually for a weekend getaway with the grandparents. It is our absolute favorite! The rooms are beautiful, the arcade is a blast and we left with lots of goodies from the different claw games! The continental breakfast is delicious, from pancakes to a yogurt parfait bar and lots and lots more! The highlight is of course the water park, it truly has something for everyone! From the little swim zone for the kiddos to big water slides for those on the adventurous side to the lazy river and indoor/outdoor hot tub for those that just want to relax. There's a snack bar in the pool area as well. It's also located RIGHT off 371 by everything you could ever need! Can't wait for last summer already!

The staff was friendly and helpful, checking us in and answering our questions. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. I was impressed with the comfort level of the king bed; probably the most comfortable hotel bed ever! The waterpark was great fun, and not at all crowded. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase. Just a heads up…no lockers, so keep that in mind. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast as well. There was a nice variety of items to choose from. And the dining area was neat and clean. I would definitely recommend Rapid River Lodge! We had a great stay!

Very clean and updated room. Bedding was very comfortable. Other reviews mention the small TV, but we could see it just fine from bed. Waterpark very clean and like new too! Perfect for any age and there is a pool area that older kids/adults would find adequate. Arcade and fitness room but we did not use. Usual breakfast options, area was kept clean and well stocked. Overall super great value and I'd stay here again!

Very disappointed in the complimentary hot breakfast, i.e., frozen store-bought omelets, frozen biscuits for the biscuits and gravy, no meat or even scrambled eggs. Hot tub was cold and staff was not very friendly. When mentioning this to the front desk they said and did nothing, and the stay was way too expensive for what was included. I would like for management to contact me!

It is was clean and room was nice but breakfast was not great. We had to ask them if there were more biscuits left for biscuits and gravy, and then the ones they put out were half frozen. Not a lot of options. The yogurt with granola and berries was good though.

We were pleasantly surprised at how clean this facility was for a family/water park place. Staff was on top of everything. Breakfast has a good variety. Would like to see refillable soap and shampoos.

Check in was not as expected. I arrived 30 min earlier and the staff didn’t help to make it easier. After waiting in the front desk with all luggage and family, I had to question again for room to get it - I don’t know for how long it was available. The pool is great and kids had a lot of fun. It was clean and in great conditions, including towels and floats. Room was fine and clean. Beds were great. Breakfast was disappointing with few options of healthy or fresh food. Breakfast was disappointing, not many options and when we arrived 30 minutes before it was scheduled to end there was very little left and what was out was messy. Room was nice, but bathroom is pretty small. Waterpark is great for younger kids, but they ran out of towels each day we visited. Proximity to local shops and restaurants was great

Kids loved the waterpark. Best for those <12 yrs. No shoes allowed in the water park- not even flip flops. They make you pile the outside the door, near other rooms. I can’t imaging all the foot fungus that people get from this place.
