Fantastica ubicacion, la habitacion #10 en donde me hospede es comodisima con jacuzzi en el roof top. Vista maravillosa a Piazza Venezia. El personal de front desk es eficiente y amable. Gracias! Regresare pronto!

Doesn't feel like a hotel. Pretty cramped location. Elevator is small and remains super hot. Location was central and easy to travel from/to different sites.

Veldig fine og store rom, deilig og innholdsrik frokost, topp beliggenhet og en kjempefin takterasse hvor man kan ta med egen mat&drikke og kose seg i kveldssolen. Helt strålende..!

Location is convenient to visit the main historical sites. The suite room is nice. Those are the only two positives. The big issue is that they advertise that there is parking nearby and a garage nearby. The BIG issue is that they do not give a ZTL (Zona a Traffico Limitato). That means to reach the hotel area you will end up in getting multiple fines for crossing the ZTL. You cant even temporarily park you car in front of hotel to offload your baggage as there is video surveillance leading to a fine. The hotel never mentioned that. When asked why they dont give relief like other hotels the terrible receptionist just say 'its our policy'. I asked to speak with the manager so I could understand the situation and she simply denied, shrugged her shoulders with the 'too bad for you to get fines' attitude. Her arrogance and unhelpfulness spoiled the whole trip as she simply cant be bothered nor was willing to help. The sour faces in the breakfast room show they dont like to work there with the exception of one waiter who was very friendly. So if you drive, do not book this hotel. If you want friendly service,, do not book this hotel. The only positive is its location but that is not worth the stress you get.

A very good small hotel with very helpful staff. In a very central area and close to many attractions but, oh so busy. The breakfast is the best I experienced - lots of choices including fruits and vegetables. The hotel has almost no public areas.

A very good small hotel near Piazza Venezia; walking distance from most attraction. However, extremely busy sidewalks outside (Rome suffers from too many tourists year round). Our accessible room is comfortable and spacious. Great bathroom too. The breakfast includes fruits and vegetables as well as all else. Very gracious and helpful staff. There is no lounge and the lobby is tiny. There is a roof garden with no food service. However restaurants and cafes abound all around.

Quiet room. Easy walking distance to tourist attractions. Plenty of restaurants. Nice spa on deck. Friendly helpful staff.

Amazing hotel in the heart of downtown. All main sites were easily reachable within a 15 minute walk except for the Vatican, which was a 45 minute walk away absolutely loved our stay all the food was amazing at breakfast and they even gave us a coupon for their restaurant. I couldn’t have been happier with the suite with a Jacuzzi tub on the porch. Private and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but one step away when you walked out the front door, absolutely stunning location. The staff was so welcoming and helpful prearranged our ride from the train station and back to the train station for us. I stayed in eight hotels in Italy and this is hands-down the best bed of the whole trip.

On main busy square. Great location. Walkable to most major tourist spots. Lots of restaurants near by. Breakfast was ok. Roof garden doesn’t have a view and was really useless. The floor cleanliness was not great, especially in the corners. Shower and sink drains were backing up and maintenance never came to sort it out. Tv service was poor. Breakfast was basic.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was spacious and sparkling clean. Location was great for me. Very much enjoyed my stay.

Hotel Castellino is very conveniently situated for walking to restaurants, shopping and many of the popular sites of ancient Rome. The room, while not large and without a view, was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good.

The room itself was very disappointing. It had two double beds, no outside light (as room faced an alley), very loud air/heating vent by entry door, windows that didn't close all the way (constant ambulance sounds all day and night, as we must have been near a hospital) but most of all - the bathroom was terrible. We actually only showered once in our 3 night stay because there was so much mold in the bathroom that we couldn't shower again.

Beds are very uncomfortable. Water pressure and shower is terrible. Although it’s in city center, which is a great location the hotel itself is loud all night long due to the outside noise. The staff was wonderful and very friendly

Very nice property in a great location, central to everything. Room was huge and in very good shape. Looks like it must’ve had a fairly recent renovation, with generally top quality materials. My only complaint was the shower stall in our room #204. At first, we could only get the small hand spray wand working, and not the large overhead shower head. Then after a lot of tinkering, it mysteriously started working. But then we realized that unless you took a very short shower, and were incredibly careful, you would make a huge puddle on the bathroom floor! This is one of those large walk-in shower stalls where the floor of the shower is at exactly the same level as the surrounding floor, and there is nothing to keep the water from flowing right out. I suspect the whole room was designed as suitable for someone in a wheelchair, since everything was oversized. Large doorways and lots of floor space to maneuver. But other than that problem, everything was nice. Great breakfast buffet every day. Everything was clean. Floor layouts are kind of crazy, but that’s not really a problem. Front entrance is unusual, with a long narrow hallway leading from the street entrance up to a very small reception desk and lobby area.

We had a family suite, which included a bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed, an additional small bedroom with a twin bed (separated with a door), and a seating area with two chairs and a table by the entry door (separated from bedrooms by a corridor including bathroom and toilet). For a family of four, the size of the suite was very spacious, the AC was very good, and cleanliness was great. The overall services in the hotel, both front desk and breakfast area, were wonderful and made us feel like they are going out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Location was very close and walkable to everything in the old center.

Hot water was very scarce and water pressure was non existent. Showering was a struggle

This was my first trip to Rome, and I really hit the vacation jackpot when I settled on the Hotel Castellino as my hq for a nine-day stay. It literally offered everything I look for when traveling abroad. The room was clean, air-conditioned, quiet, and even spacious by European standards. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was roomy and serviced by unlimited hot water, outlets were plentiful, and lighting fixtures were more than sufficient for every need. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, maid service was impeccable, and the rate-included daily breakfast buffet was as extensive as it was delicious. (I never ate lunch during my entire trip.) But most import of all is the LOCATION! You are literally situated at the dead-center of the historic district. It's a five-minute walk to the Roman Forum, ten to the Colosseum (which is also the closest Metro stop)/Pantheon/Trevi Fountain, and no more than twenty to any other tourist destination in Rome. The immediate surroundings are busy and lively, but perfectly safe; a carabinieri station--Italy's national police--is right next door. You can easily walk your entire holiday, but if you do decide to use mass transit (the summer sun is blistering), major stops for the east-west and north-south bus lines are only a block or two from the hotel. Whenever I return to Rome--and I WILL return after as enjoyable a vacation as I just spent--I will definitely book my lodgings at the Hotel Castellino every time.

Excellent location and staff, however we did not have hot water in the morning and the wall/door to the adjoining room was very thin, so it sounded like the guests next to us were in the same room.

Overall the property suited my needs for being close to another hotel my parents were staying at. I felt the cost to stay here was too high for what was received. The room was fine, but it was connected to another room via a shared door and I could hear everything, from the TV shows they watched to their conversations. It was as if the door was just open to all sound. Also, the shower hot water took up to 5 minutes to get warm. If you want hot, wait another 5 minutes. Breakfast was superb. I would not book this hotel again.

Property was okay. We stayed for 3 days only so it was alright. The location was convenient. Our room was extremely hot and we had to buy a small fan at Tiger next door to get through the nights. I advised the front desk and they said they came and reset the AC but there was no change. The last night it stopped working altogether.

The hotel was in a great location, clean, had great breakfast. The staff was very helpful and assisted in organizing a car service from the airport and another to the cruise port. Great experience & would definitely recommend.

This hotel is within walking distance to many of Rome’s attractions as well as dining options. It was clean and our room was quiet. The added touch is having access to the rooftop veranda which was lovely! The frustration we had was having booked shuttle service through the hotel and not having been informed that the driver had cancelled our pick-up. This caused both a 1-hour delay and an increased transportation cost which had not been expected. The clerk did apologize however no compensation was offered.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, easy walking distance to many important historic sites as well as shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful, giving us suggestions and taking care of anything we needed. Highly recommend.

Hotel Castellino was a great choice while in Rome for two days. Both David & Daniel were very helpful and welcoming. Transportation from the airport was arranged for us as well as to the port upon check out. Very convenient and easy. They also answered my text messages whenever I had questions prior to our arrival. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, lots of toppings, eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins,and breads. The restaurant next door was recommended and very convenient after a long day touring. We had an excellent view of the Piazza Venezia. Our room was perfect with a nice hot shower! Very central you will not be disappointed with Hotel Castellino.

David at the front desk was just lovely from day 1!! The hotel is very convenient and the breakfast included is great! I also like that they gave a complimentary pair of slippers. I would absolutely stay here again.

Location location location - at a price. It is very loud in the area of a major intersection but worth it to avoid walking more than 12k steps (you’ll only get 10k). Convenient to so much in Rome. Good breakfast buffet.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, was ein großer Vorteil für Ausflüge und Erkundungen ist. Allerdings war es durch die Lage auch recht laut, was die Nachtruhe etwas beeinträchtigt hat. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wodurch wir uns insgesamt willkommen gefühlt haben.

The location for this hotel is 10 out of 10. It’s within a few minutes walking distance to the Trevi Fountain and walking distance to the Pantheon and a little bit further (but walkable) to the Colosseum. The A/C was great given that we were there when it was very hot and the room was clean and all the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay! The hotel is in a fantastic central location, the breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was outstanding!

Air conditioning worked well. Bed was comfortable, my wife liked the pillows but I found them very flat. Closet area was rather spacious. Breakfast was very good with great selection of items and good service. I would say it’s closer to a 3 star hotel than a 4 star. Can’t beat the location, easy walking distance to almost everything you want to see.
