We had a lovely couple nights here. The surrounding area and being in a gated area made it feel very safe. About a 10min walk to the metro so easy to get around. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave some wonderful suggestions for places to eat. Beds were comfy. Only negetive was the sound proofing of the rooms needs to be better as you could hear other guests talking in the corridor and from adjoining rooms.

Very clean and centrally located and you get a key so that even after the reception closes, you can come and go as you please. I walked from the hotel all the way to the Trevi Fountain and back and it was a great experience. The only thing that I found a bit odd it that they have cereal for breakfast and no cold milk. The only milk comes from the coffee machine and it is heated. Such first world problems right?

If you are looking for not too fancy accommodation in Rome, this will be in excellent choice. Parking was free and inside the premises. The staff (it’s a convent) was great and very helpful. Breakfast was very good for the price. It’s around 20 minutes walk to coliseum.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We parked our vehicle inside the gated courtyard. The gate is closed overnight and opens up by staff members. They don't have 24 hours reception, however, one member of the staff helped us leave the hotel at 5am to catch our last minute booked flight. Staff are very friendly! This is a quiet, safe place to stay near the main attractions of Rome.

The property is nothing like the photos! This property is outside of all the tourist areas and an about a 20 minute taxi to all locations and hard for them to locate. The area is safe but is a good walking distance to any food or convenience stores. The room is very small and very noisy. You can hear all your neighbors through the thin walls and smoking is permitted, so it comes through the vents. We constantly had to open our windows for fresh air and to let the smell of smoke out. The staff is very friendly, expecially David. The breakfast is as pictured daily. No changes. There is no restaurant or amenities on sight. We made the best of our stay because the room was clean and we felt safe. Would not stay again or recommend for first time travelers.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property, after all it is a convent. The room was very clean though a bit spartan with a nice bathroom. It had all the modern conveniences (tv, etc...) and a comfortable bed. The staff was great and there was a lovely breakfast. The hotel is very safe. You need a key to get into the courtyard from the street and a key to get into the building at night. It is just outside the Aurelian Wall in the San Giovanni area. Its about a 20 min walk to the Baths of Caracalla and a 30 min walk to the Coliseum. There are taxis and Ubers if you dont want to walk.

What a beautiful place! 10 minutes walk from the metro and easy to navigate with Google Maps. It is a gated property and I felt very safe here. I was travelling alone for the first time in Italy and this place was very welcoming and helpful. The lady on reception spoke wonderful English and showed me where everything was. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a clean place! The room was spotless and had everything I needed. I slept very peacefully here. The air con was excellent. A little place called Vicino Enoteca is a lovely place to dine or just have a drink. They are very popular with the locals and were very accommodating and kind to me. I would highly recommend visiting this place during your stay. I will be returning to Casa San Giuseppe very soon!

Personale molto disponibile e cortese Stanze confortevoli, molto belle e di recente ristrutturazione, tra le pecche la colazione salata non all'altezza e la presenza di un ascensore un pò vetusto forse anche non a norma per i disabili ma hanno in progetto di realizzarne uno nuovo a breve stando a quanto mi è stato comunicato. Un consiglio dotare i televisori di telecomandi che siano intuitivi visto che quello a disposizione era "INCOMPRENSIBILE"

O hotel faz parte de um convento de freiras. Os quartos são todos novos, o banheiro é muito confortável, tudo muito limpo e organizado.possui uma chaleira elétrica na qual é possível fazer chás e café solúveis. A limpeza é extrema. O café da manhã é bom para os padrões italianos. Super recomendo

Vi nød vores ophold på hotellet. Der er fremragende service, og rengøringen var helt i top. Der blev gjort rent hver dag, fik nye håndklæder og meget sødt personale. Hyggeligt lille hotel. Dog er morgenmaden lidt kedelig, men det er også det eneste jeg ikke har været helt tilfreds med. Søger man et roligt hotel i et roligt område med gode busforbindelser og hyggelig gå afstand til midtbyen/seværdigheder, kan man trygt vælge dette hotel. Vi kan varmt anbefale det til andre.

部屋は、一人で利用しましたが、綺麗で清潔感がありました。シャワー、トイレも綺麗でした。 スタッフの方、親切に対応でした。 朝食の牛乳が機械で温められて出てくるところ、ほとんどお湯の状態だったことが残念です。 地理的には、コロッセオまで、25分でしたが、夜歩いても、不安になることはありませんでした。ホテルから下ったところのレストランも美味しかったです。

Hotel pundit- as always 108 words-(Casa san Giuseppe) Not one reviewer bothered to write that this is basically a room in a monasetry! If your fantasy is to live as a monk you found your place. Simplest ,spartan room,the thinnest walls,we could hear all the snoring from both rooms (right&left), the room was clean but there was this little unpleasnt smell that would not go away even after opening the windows and ventilate(maybe a floor cleanning solution). Breakfest- bery basic ,nothing warm or flashy, but no complains. Pros-the casa/monastery staff s are professional and polite. The location is quiet but still close to main attractions by public transpotation. Price- very affordable.

Great room and bathroom. Very modern and well kept. The kettle didn't work and no option to make coffee in the room which was a shame. Breakfast was simple but ok. More variety might have been nice.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We parked our vehicle inside the gated courtyard. The gate is closed overnight and opens up by staff members. They don't have 24 hours reception, however, one member of the staff helped us leave the hotel at 5am to catch our last minute booked flight. Staff are very friendly! This is a quiet, safe place to stay near the main attractions of Rome.

Casa San Giuseppe was the perfect place to stay! Not only was my room clean and cool with air conditioning, but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Check in was quick and easy, and they even let me keep my luggage in storage after I had checked out. I would highly recommend staying here!

I was pleasantly surprised by this property, after all it is a convent. The room was very clean though a bit spartan with a nice bathroom. It had all the modern conveniences (tv, etc...) and a comfortable bed. The staff was great and there was a lovely breakfast. The hotel is very safe. You need a key to get into the courtyard from the street and a key to get into the building at night. It is just outside the Aurelian Wall in the San Giovanni area. Its about a 20 min walk to the Baths of Caracalla and a 30 min walk to the Coliseum. There are taxis and Ubers if you dont want to walk.

What a beautiful place! 10 minutes walk from the metro and easy to navigate with Google Maps. It is a gated property and I felt very safe here. I was travelling alone for the first time in Italy and this place was very welcoming and helpful. The lady on reception spoke wonderful English and showed me where everything was. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a clean place! The room was spotless and had everything I needed. I slept very peacefully here. The air con was excellent. A little place called Vicino Enoteca is a lovely place to dine or just have a drink. They are very popular with the locals and were very accommodating and kind to me. I would highly recommend visiting this place during your stay. I will be returning to Casa San Giuseppe very soon!

Very clean and centrally located and you get a key so that even after the reception closes, you can come and go as you please. I walked from the hotel all the way to the Trevi Fountain and back and it was a great experience. The only thing that I found a bit odd it that they have cereal for breakfast and no cold milk. The only milk comes from the coffee machine and it is heated. Such first world problems right?

This hotel was perfect for my needs. Traveling alone I wanted a clean and safe hotel in a good location for sightseeing Rome’s most popular sights. It also needed to be economical since I would be spending very little time at the hotel. This hotel filled all these needs.

Lovely hotel with genuinely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very quiet, and the hotel represented excellent value for money. The location is a little outside the main tourist centre, around a 35–45 minute walk to the Colosseum and many of the main sights, but we enjoy walking so it was ideal for us. The quieter setting was actually a real bonus after busy days sightseeing. Breakfast was good and there was a nice selection, although a little more variety would have been welcome. Freshly made coffee and fresh juice would have made it even better. The room itself was very comfortable and the shower was good, although I personally would have preferred a bath. Overall, a lovely hotel with wonderful staff, clean rooms, a peaceful atmosphere and excellent value for money. We would happily stay again.
