GHL San Lazaro Art Hotel

Very comfortable, beautiful hotel, well located, in front of the San Felipe Castle and very close to a shopping mall. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The hotel has a rooftop terrace with a pool offering a beautiful view of the Castle; it's stunning at night. The breakfast was a good buffet style, with very polite and attentive staff, and the reception was equally helpful, making us feel at home. Easy access to taxis, Uber, or a 15-minute walk to the Historic Center. We preferred to call an Uber to save time because we only stayed three days. The area is safe, and the shopping mall across the street is very convenient because you can find everything you need in an emergency. I recommend the GHL San Lazaro Art Hotel; it's very good value for money. Just one suggestion for improvement: the shower is large, but the water pressure is weak and it takes a while to heat up. It gets hot after a while, but if the water pressure were stronger, it would be perfect. That's my suggestion!

Family stayed for only one night, and overall it was a good experience, but major things prevented a 5 star experience. The windows to our room were completely frosted and unable to be opened, providing absolutely no clue as to what was happening outside. And the tv controls were a headscratcher. Ultimately we only had access to one Spanish only station. Otherwise, the room was a very nice size, the bathroom as well. Service was excellent, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and adequate. The pool is on the smaller side but enough to not feel like a tub, and the location is acceptable, with easy access to Castillo San Felipe and the MallPlaza.

Very easy walk to the Fort. I wish we could have had a view with the Ft. booked late. Clean and very friendly staff.

Juan and Henrry at the front desk were very friendly and going far and beyond in order to help you. Favio and Lilibeth at the restaurant always offering a smile and a good service.
