Great modern property in excellent location. Use of indoor plunge pool costs extra so we didnt use it despite the rain all week. Buffet breakfast is excellent but some of buffet dinner food was not hot when it should have been. Service was generally excellent. Would visit again.

Hôtel très bien situé en plein centre face au château. Très propre, personnel disponible et sympathique. Peu d’intimité au niveau de la salle de bain. Piscine agréable mais peu de transat et qui sont très vite pris. L’hôtel fait très attention à ce que les personnes ne posent pas de serviettes sur les transats s’ils n’y sont pas ce qui est très bien.

A szálloda elhelyezkedése, kialakítása, tisztasága kiemelkedő volt A személyzet nem túl kedves, a recepciót kivéve senki sem beszél egy szót sem angolul. A bárban nincsenek koktélok, csak a sky bárban, de az csak korlátozott napokon van nyitva. Az ott készült 14€ -s koktélok szinte ihatatlanok, sajnos, a kilátás kicsit kompenzál mindebből. Amire 2 csillagot adnék csak, AZ AZ ÉTELEK VÁLASZTÉKA!!! Minden reggel ugyanaz van és nincs zöldségféle SEMMI. AZ ESTI ÉTELVÁLASZTÉK IS NAGYON VISSZAFOGOTT, méltatlan a szálloda színvonalához.

I stayed here with my daughter and we had a great time. The bed was amazing, the room quiet and it always smelled good. The pool is refreshing, breakfast was very good. The surrounding area was also very nice with shops and quaint little streets on the peninsula. Good beach, beautiful water. All in all we liked our stay and I would recommend the hotel.

L'hôtel en lui-même est excellent, très très propre, mais manque d'activités, pas de piscine intérieure, jacuzzi payant pas donné, pas de proposition d'excursions, un peu monotone. À part ça rien à redire.

El hotel ha sido renovado recientemente y lo han dejado muy bien. El personal excepcional, la comida muy buena, y con variedad suficiente (muy recomendables las paellas, que las ponen difernetes todos los días en el buffet de la comida), la limpieza sobresaliente, y con una comunicación inmejorable, en primera línea de playa y a 500m de la ciudadela. La piscina no es muy grande pero suficiente para refrescarse, y el agua está tratada de alguna manera porque deja la piel como si no te hubieras bañado. Los peros: el baño es muy estrecho, la cabina de ducha y el inodoro comparten el mismo espacio, y se siente como el WC de un avión. Gente "grande" va a tener problemas tanto en la ducha como en el inodoro. Otro gran "pero" es a los huéspedes alojados en la cuarta planta, ya que en la azotea hay un Lounge Bar, donde en ocasiones el DJ se viene arriba y pone la música excesivamente alta, por lo que hasta la 1:30 o 2 am, es difícil descansar, ya que luego se ponen a recoger las sillas y a arrastrarlas, y lo mismo ocurre a las 8 de la mañana, que se ponen a montar la terraza. Así que en resumen, si quieres descansar, hay que evitar la cuarta planta. Y por último, el café del desayuno, que es de máquina (horrible) o de cápsulas (algo menos horrible). Sugeriría que pongan termos con café de cafetera de verdad. Por lo demás, el hotel fantástico.

La estancia fue fantástica. La localización del hotel mejor imposible y desde la habitación con vistas laterales se podía ver el Castillo de Peñiscola a la perfección. La habitación totalmente reformada, todo muy cuidado y nuevo. La limpieza de 10. En el restaurante la comida de una calidad exquisita, todo platos muy saludables y showcpking en directo (lubina, lenguado, atún, dorada…). Todo excelente! Nosotros contratamos pensión completa durante el fin de semana, en ningún lugar se especificaba que las bebidas no entraban y, de hecho, posteriormente hice la consulta a Hotels.com y me confirmaron que en PC sí entraban las bebidas de comida y cena. El primer día al llegar al restaurante para cenar, preguntamos al camarero: ¿entra el vino en la pensión completa? Y su respuesta fue afirmativa. Cuál fue nuestra sorpresa (y el bochorno que pasamos) que a la salida del restaurante nos dijera quiere pagar la bebida con tarjeta o al contado, ya que nosotros teníamos claro que las bebidas entraban ya que en ningún lugar en la web , ni al llegar al hotel nadie nos informó de este detalle.

I gave this hotel a 5 due to the location, near to all bars, restaurants, shops, the friendly/helpful staff and the fact that it’s new and in excellent condition. Having gold status meant I was eligible for an upgrade if available. I had to ask for it as it wasn’t offered and they gave me a sea-facing room on the first floor with a huge balcony. However, it didn’t feel like an upgrade as the room was very small and I wasn’t able to enjoy the balcony as it offered no privacy. That said, the room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. One point for improvement would be the breakfast which was very limited. On the whole I really enjoyed my stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel was very clean and the buffet food was good and varied every day. The room was cleaned every day with new towels. We have a partial view of the sea as we were adjacent to the beach. We walked to the local castle on the mount in Peniscola. There were plenty of restaurants and the beach was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our four day mini break. I would recommend the Hotel & Spa Castillo de Peñíscola

I stayed here with my daughter and we had a great time. The bed was amazing, the room quiet and it always smelled good. The pool is refreshing, breakfast was very good. The surrounding area was also very nice with shops and quaint little streets on the peninsula. Good beach, beautiful water. All in all we liked our stay and I would recommend the hotel.

Fabulous hotel, modern, clean, bright. We took half board; a good variety of choices on the whole, though the chips were always soggy, never crispy. Annoyingly the WC in the room was not a separate, fully-enclosed cubicle so smells could permeate.... And you had to pay to enter the spa to use the jacuzzi or sauna, so we never went. The hotel is in a great location, a short walk to the old town, shops, bars, restaurants. Unfortunately the adjacent hotel had an entertainment room which seemed to offer loud music/dancing every night, often with the doors opened. Luckily the Castillo Hotel has excellent double/triple glazing but there was still a bit of a noise which went on till around 23-23h30 most nights. But I would definitely go back, despite that.

Great modern property in excellent location. Use of indoor plunge pool costs extra so we didnt use it despite the rain all week. Buffet breakfast is excellent but some of buffet dinner food was not hot when it should have been. Service was generally excellent. Would visit again.

Extremely clean and tidy and staff very welcoming and helpful. The gym is snall and slightly open to the elements but has sufficient equipment for a basic workout. Food was amazing, vegetables slightly cool but could be warmed up in the microwave. Area around coffee machine & microwave a little hectic at breakfast. Pool looked great but weather too cold in March! Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

La estancia fue fantástica. La localización del hotel mejor imposible y desde la habitación con vistas laterales se podía ver el Castillo de Peñiscola a la perfección. La habitación totalmente reformada, todo muy cuidado y nuevo. La limpieza de 10. En el restaurante la comida de una calidad exquisita, todo platos muy saludables y showcpking en directo (lubina, lenguado, atún, dorada…). Todo excelente! Nosotros contratamos pensión completa durante el fin de semana, en ningún lugar se especificaba que las bebidas no entraban y, de hecho, posteriormente hice la consulta a Hotels.com y me confirmaron que en PC sí entraban las bebidas de comida y cena. El primer día al llegar al restaurante para cenar, preguntamos al camarero: ¿entra el vino en la pensión completa? Y su respuesta fue afirmativa. Cuál fue nuestra sorpresa (y el bochorno que pasamos) que a la salida del restaurante nos dijera quiere pagar la bebida con tarjeta o al contado, ya que nosotros teníamos claro que las bebidas entraban ya que en ningún lugar en la web , ni al llegar al hotel nadie nos informó de este detalle.

Very nice looking place but weirdly no coffee set up in room and cafe doesn’t open until 10. And they wouldn’t let us just get coffee from the breakfast room. Didn’t get an upgrade or offered the ‘free tour’, no parking available and unfortunately the desk clerk has very little English- which in a 4 star hotel really shouldn’t happen

El hotel ha sido renovado recientemente y lo han dejado muy bien. El personal excepcional, la comida muy buena, y con variedad suficiente (muy recomendables las paellas, que las ponen difernetes todos los días en el buffet de la comida), la limpieza sobresaliente, y con una comunicación inmejorable, en primera línea de playa y a 500m de la ciudadela. La piscina no es muy grande pero suficiente para refrescarse, y el agua está tratada de alguna manera porque deja la piel como si no te hubieras bañado. Los peros: el baño es muy estrecho, la cabina de ducha y el inodoro comparten el mismo espacio, y se siente como el WC de un avión. Gente "grande" va a tener problemas tanto en la ducha como en el inodoro. Otro gran "pero" es a los huéspedes alojados en la cuarta planta, ya que en la azotea hay un Lounge Bar, donde en ocasiones el DJ se viene arriba y pone la música excesivamente alta, por lo que hasta la 1:30 o 2 am, es difícil descansar, ya que luego se ponen a recoger las sillas y a arrastrarlas, y lo mismo ocurre a las 8 de la mañana, que se ponen a montar la terraza. Así que en resumen, si quieres descansar, hay que evitar la cuarta planta. Y por último, el café del desayuno, que es de máquina (horrible) o de cápsulas (algo menos horrible). Sugeriría que pongan termos con café de cafetera de verdad. Por lo demás, el hotel fantástico.

Very good, modern hotel, very large and comfortable bed, the aircon worked well. The lunch and dinner main courses were a disappointment, the meat was far too thin to cook properly and dried out. the chefs were very good and friendly, doing their best. The cooked breakfast was very good.

I absolutely loved this property! It is hard to gauge hotel standards when from other countries. By US standards, this is a 9+ /10 on hotels.com. It is a touch of class above everything else near it. Premium location, 10/10 clean room, great rooftop bar, small and boutique vibe. Beach is across the street, parking garage right in front. Would 100 % return.

Hotel was very clean. Room was on the small side, but had everything that was required. The staff maintaining and cleaning the rooms were excellent. Breakfast was okay - we didnt book this in advance. It would have cost around £12 each to do this in advance. The hotel offered us a deal to get breakfast for 5 euros, which is well worth it, whereas £12 probably isnt. The buffet dinner in the evening costing 35 euros each is very poor value both in terms of quality and price. The small spa is also poor value at 25 euros for 40 minutes. Reception staff werent very helpful or friendly, with a couple of exceptions. Overall, a mixed experience.
