Accommodation good location and easy access to the lifts for MTB'ing. Would be good if better facility for storing bikes as the room was full when we arrived. Bring lock to chain your bike in the room. Missing fly screen on one of the windows which was required as we had to leave the windows open as the apartments get warm in summer and there is no aircon. Food from the onsite restaurant for dinner is average and would suggest eating elsewhere. This was the biggest disappointment. Included breakfast was good. Overall would stay here again, as the accommodation was clean, and in good location.

This is our second time staying at The River Inn. It’s in a great location and is very reasonably priced for accommodation on mountain and including a basic breakfast. It also has secure bike storage which is fantastic! The room was clean. Overall you get what you pay for, it’s a little dated and noisy neighbours can be heard but for us the convenience and price outweighs all else. We’ll be back for sure.

Overall the staff in the bar where I checked in were friendly and it met my needs as I was there for an event so I’d stay again. But a few things to prep for if you’re staying: * There’s only on street parking which can be a nightmare in Thredbo. * The walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbours constantly when there’s no background noise, take some earplugs if good sleep is critical. * Curtains have to be fully closed all night as there are piercing lights outside the window. * The bed is pretty hard but pillows were ok.

Overall the staff in the bar where I checked in were friendly and it met my needs as I was there for an event so I’d stay again. 5 fantastic dsys at the River inn. Ski in out is great ... a 1 minute stumble from the lifts at friday flat. Breakfast has plenty of tasty selections, hot and cold. The room was large. The bed comfortable. It'll be hard to stay anywhere else now. If you're a keen skier, this place is great.

Terrible communication! We tried to call hotel multiple times and NO ONE pick up the phone at all. No reply from email! What kind of hotel service that not contact guest if guest not yet check in! No courtesy call, no instruction on how to check in if arrived after check in time! We tried to call during operation time but noone answer! What a stressful experience! Room is much smaller than what we expected and dated! No heater in the room. Breakfast is just plain! Breakfast dining room was so dark!

The only reason to stay at The River Inn is it’s proximity to the Chairlift.The foldout bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever tried to sleep on.The staff at reception never even bothered to get out of their chairs to assist with check in or check out.

Very comfortable stay, the shower was very good (hot) The room had a small electric heater - not sure if it made a difference Front desk was not attended, perhaps a staff shortage. Check in was done upstairs and a very easy process.

Thredbo cancelled lift access due to not enough snow. Perisher was however open. The River Inn also own a property at Perisher. Wanted to move to Perisher as we were catching at bus up the mountain and didn't have any transport to get from one to the other. Travelling there from the Gold Coast. Refused to even consider moving the booking even though we offered more money. Very strict booking practices. Be very careful and read the fine print before you book.

Friendly, helpful staff and the whole town had a very relaxed , safe feeling to it. Our fridge was stocked with beautiful food. We climbed Kosciusko and the food was perfect for the climb. Loved our stay here. Magical town.

Bring lock to chain your bike in the room. Missing fly screen on one of the windows which was required as we had to leave the windows open as the apartments get warm in summer and there is no aircon. Food from the onsite restaurant for dinner is average and would suggest eating elsewhere. This was the biggest disappointment. Included breakfast was good. This is our second time staying at The River Inn. It’s in a great location and is very reasonably priced for accommodation on mountain and including a basic breakfast. It also has secure bike storage which is fantastic! The room was clean. Overall you get what you pay for, it’s a little dated and noisy neighbours can be heard but for us the convenience and price outweighs all else. We’ll be back for sure.

5 fantastic dsys at the River inn. Ski in out is great ... a 1 minute stumble from the lifts at friday flat. Breakfast has plenty of tasty selections, hot and cold. The room was large. The bed comfortable. It'll be hard to stay anywhere else now. If you're a keen skier, this place is great.

Super basic and dated rooms. For the extreme daily rate the TV didnt even work on all channels and had no smart connectivity. Breakfast was terrible.

Dark and dingy breakfast area, smelt mouldy and needed light. Open the doors windows and let air into the place. Greeted by front office staff member with things on not a good impression. Place needs renovation and brightening up. The lounge off to the side of the main reception area smells like someone has died in there. Really bad smell couldn’t get out of there quick enough

The property by itself is well maintained and is very vintage. I didnt really like the view from the room. It was a parking view and there were people hanging out there till late. So basically could not open the windows at all. All said, the room was clean and the staff was helpful and well trained. The breakfast was very good for a complimentary breakfast. Lots of refill and good quality yogurt and breads.
