Taksim Dora Hotel

Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr guten Lage, direkt am Taksim-Platz – alles Wichtige ist in der Nähe. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider war tagsüber zeitweise das Wasser in den Zimmern abgestellt. Dieses Problem scheint in der ganzen Gegend häufiger vorzukommen, aber für mich war das Katastrophe!! Abgesehen davon war der Rest für den Preis eher durchschnittlich.

For a 3-star property for this price, I rate this above average. i was able to check-in a little earlier than normal and was even upgraded to a bigger triple room (although mine was standard). I was on a solo trip so this made it very comfortable. the hotel is slightly off the busy and noisy Istiklal Street, but it was not loud, because it's one block away from the street and faces away from the noise. the property is getting older than the photos, but is still maintained well. It is clean and acceptable, although some of the property could use some upgrades. The bed was more comfortable than I expected, and I personally have lower back issues, but I did not wake up with any pain. The air conditioner worked well. The staff were very friendly and sociable with me and we had good conversations and laughter. The breakfast was basic but still enough to fill my belly (fried eggs with sucuk/spiced sausage, hard-boiled eggs, cheese borek, tea/nescafe, bread with jam/butter/honey, pickled olives, cucumbers, cake, & watermelon). Guests should know there is no elevator, but it was okay for me. You will be near good transportation and a lot of restaurants, cafes, nightlife, and easy to visit every tourist site with ease. Thank you to the Egyptian/Brazilian staff, Muhammad, and the Sudanese staff, whose name I forgot (I'm sorry). They will take care of you.

I loved this hotel! It is right around the corner from world famous Taksim shopping. But, my best memories were the excellent staff who literally take such good care of their guests. And, they speak English. The 2 front desk gentlemen were Mami and Awab. They are a jewel for that hotel ❤️

Güler yüzlü çalışanlar, eski bir otel. Temizlik fena değil ama bence temiz bir otel denemez. Banyo kötüydü örneğin. Balkonlu odada kaldık, balkon olması gayet tatlı. Klima da vardı. Kahvaltı gerçekten çok kötüydü.
