Stayed 4 nights

No heating available and no new towels were provided. Had a small 3 year old child with me and this was deeply concerning. Tried to ask for help but requests went unfulfilled such as the request for an extension cord since most wall sockets were not working. Parking was good but owner made me feel unwanted and not valued as much as other guests.

Stayed 3 nights

Over promised and under delivered, but I'd stay there again. It is an older property so things are not perfect. It is a beautiful building and very historic. I lived in the historic French Quarter before, so I was prepared for a historic property. The night we arrived there was a wedding going on so it took a bit to get to the lock box. The keys were in an envelope with the name of the room. After 8 hours of driving and walking through a wedding party, it would have been nice to have my name on the envelope. So I grab the wrong set of keys and eventually found someone to tell us where the room is. We drag all of our stuff from one building to another set up in the room, leave for dinner and get a phone call that we are in the wrong room. I mentioned to the lady who showed us the room that we did not book a double. It was a mess, but the housekeeper and some staff helped us move rooms and gave us drinks and a bottle of Champagne. She was wonderful. Breakfast was not as pictured. It was lovely sitting at the table with the other guests and chatting, but the menu was limited. The owner was very nice a breakfast but not so much the night before when the mix up happened. The upstairs room on the 3rd floor had no windows so I felt a bit claustrophobic. I worked for us, but a single person it is perfect. All in all, I'd stay there again. Bus stop right across the street. Off street parking was advertised, but not a reality, but there is plenty of space within a couple of blocks.

Stayed 2 nights

The historic aspect of the house, and the beauty of the building and furnishings, really stood out. I loved getting to talk to David Villarrubia, the owner, who served the breakfast. I also enjoyed the free tour, given by Edgar Degas' grand niece.

Host was unprepared, disorganized, condescending, and dismissive. Our experience was so poor that we left after the first night even though we were supposed to stay two nights.
