The Guesthouse is right in the center, close to a lot of sight s. Walking to great Restaurants and shopping. Self checkout and in was great, room was clean, breakfast good. The only downside is that there was no dedicated parking space, there is free street parking, but we had to park two blocks away, because there were no spaces in front of the Guesthouse.

Near Hallgrimskirkja Church and within 10 minutes walk to downtown and Central bus station the guesthouse is in great location. Lovely breakfast with warm breads in the morning. My room had a kitchenette which allowed me to make some meals (money saving as eating out is expensive).

Very helpful staff - travelling with a baby and the cot was already in the room. Stored our luggage for us upon arrival. Great breakfast - perfect location for our short stay in Reyktavik

The listing on Expedia clearly says there is free parking at the property, but really there isn’t. There is -maybe- some free parking at some road a few blocks away, or maybe some free parking at a church nearby - good luck finding those. The room was cramped, tap water had sewage smell. Breakfast was nice though.

With free parking around the corner and free breakfast in the morning, this place was ideal for a couple of budget travellers. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of EU adapters to borrow if you forgot yours, the building was a bit older but maintained with care. The tenant fridge is on the upstairs, and came in handy with the kitchen downstairs. Very nice fellow guests, lots of diversity and no problems with sharing bathrooms with fellow guests.

Located right in the city center next to famous gorgeous Hallgrimskirkja. The check-in process was smooth. Took minutes for the stuff to show us to our room in the next door building which was 20 m walk from the reception. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. We booked the room with private bathroom, it shared common entrance with 3 other rooms that had share bathroom (no bother for us at all) and we shared the same kitchenet area with coffee maker, electric kettle, medium fridge, sink, plenty of dishes, cups, utensils etc. The room was spacious enough by European standards. Bathroom with the shower was a bit outdated but functioned well. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was served in the main building where reception was, the standard continental variety. The parking was next-door and free (a big plus in the center of the city), but we were lucky to find nice spot right away, which could be tricky if we were arriving later in the day (we arrived around 4 pm). Overall - good stay well worth the money paid.

We had a great time at Guesthouse Aurora. It is located right next Hallgrimskirkja, shopping, dining, and old Reykjavík. It was a five minute walk to the BSI bus station where many of our day tours left from.We had a kitchenette and were able to cook for ourselves. Everyone was very nice and they allowed us to store our luggage on day one and our last day before and after check in and check out. Breakfast had many options. The price was price was great for all these amenities!

Upon check-in, I was told we were being placed in the property's sister house across the street. We were given a set of keys along with our towels to bring across the street. There were 3 separate doors to get into the property and no explanation as to which keys were for which doors. While this wasn't a huge issue, I found the room itself to be semi-decent. The sheets seemed to be clean although there were a few stains - probably from previous guests. The room itself seemed to be clean otherwise. There was however, a horrible smell coming from the bathroom! The sink was filthy, there was barely any soap in the dispenser and the soap that did come out smelled absolutely horrible. One of the other guests left their menstrual blood on the toilet seat in the morning!!! That is not the guesthouses fault but they could do well by adding in air fresheners. If you do not mind the possible dirtiness from other guests and can do with the smell this was an okay accommodation for one night.

The location was great. You can walk anywhere in the city sightseeing place. Breakfast wasgrwat. Homemade fresh bread every morning. The only thing which bothered mus: the toilet/shower seamed never ckeaned in the whole 4 nights we where there, beside empty the bin. Would be nice at least have it cleaned eve second day. Specially you share it with 2 other rooms, max. People using it are 6.

Leider hat mir der Aufenthalt nicht gefallen. War im Haus Andrea untergebracht. Zimmer war schmuddelig, stsubig und roch komisch. Bettlaken waren voller Flecken. Kissenbezug löchrig. Von mir leider keine Empfehlung...auch nicht für eine Nacht.

As a Icelandic native i dont recommend this for anyone my room was probably worse then one of the rooms in the Icelandic jail litla hraun , there was mold in the window and dust everywhere , the window was closed but you still feel the wind blowing threw , everything was very unclear with reception towels and stuff , and there was no soap in the shower , when i first arrived the clerk told me breakfast ends at 11 when i came down next morning at 10 the lady told it already ended and at 10 , beds were hard and i didn't get alot of sleep cause of it and noice at middle of the night from late check ins , recommend to pay 15thousand kónur (100$) more and stay elsewhere with cleaner nicer rooms and better service

It was very good value for money and a delicious and substantial breakfast was included. Cosy bedrooms and very clean establishment. Great location within walking distance to main attractions. Would highly recommend if you dont mind sharing a bathroom.

Room was comfortable. It included a small sink, mirror, table, chair, small space for hanging clothes, and a nice window that could be opened to let the fresh air flow. The location is great. Breakfast was good.

Room 33 (I believe it was) is part of the fire escape route and is rather illuminated all night long. I asked to be moved and was put in room 32 the next night, which was fine. Nice place, location and good price.

I arrived 15 minutes after the reception hours and was emailed by Aurora to say I’d find my key on the table in the entrance. There was no key as promised. Another guest was in the same predicament. I called and the employee said he was still downstairs (location of reception was not clearly marked.) I received my keys there, one for the building next door and one for my room. Room was clean and remodeled. There is no sink. Shower is in bathroom. Breakfast decent and reached by going downstairs. Basic stay within easy walking distance of the big church, but I would recommend other accommodations if you can get them. I liked Sunna Guesthouse better and it had a personal sink and is next door.

Very convenient to walking around. Check in was pretty strict on not starting till 2pm however I was able to leave my bags there so I could walk around before checkin. Process was very easy and staff is very friendly and helpful

Hosts were amazing and very accommodating. They were always available to answer and ready to help with everything. We liked the location and also our accommodation was amazing! Loved their breakfast!

Breakfast was really good. I guess they are not big on customer service. You felt you are pretty much on your own, no staff except during breakfast. Don't think I will be returning.

Room was comfortable. It included a small sink, mirror, table, chair, small space for hanging clothes, and a nice window that could be opened to let the fresh air flow. The location is great. Breakfast was good.

Clean inviting and friendly guesthouse in the heart of Reykjavik. Right by bus stop 8, perfect for tour pick ups, and an easy walk to the Main Street with food. Community pool within walking distance as well. Felt safe and comfortable as a female solo traveler. I stayed in the second building, which was also an apartment building on the other side. I needed 3 keys to get into my room which made me feel extra safe and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh buffet style and perfect to grab before a long day of adventures

We had a great time at Guesthouse Aurora. It is located right next Hallgrimskirkja, shopping, dining, and old Reykjavík. It was a five minute walk to the BSI bus station where many of our day tours left from.We had a kitchenette and were able to cook for ourselves. Everyone was very nice and they allowed us to store our luggage on day one and our last day before and after check in and check out. Breakfast had many options. The price was price was great for all these amenities!

central location, steps from the Hallgrímskirkja, and very walkable area. The single room I had was good. There is a fridge and sink in the hallway that can be used. Bathroom is modern and clean, shared with other guests. Everything was good; the breakfast buffet is very good, with lots of choices. (The only thing that was not that great was other guests arriving very late at night and being noisy.)

Easy check in and check out Nothing fancy, very basic. Clean. But if you just need a place to sleep this worked great. It was short walk to BSI bus station and the main shopping and restaurants. Website said breakfast was 7am, I was there in September and told they were on winter hours so breakfast was not until 7:30. That is not mentioned anywhere on the website. I had 7:30 bus to catch so that was bit frustrating. Accurate changing on hours should be posted at booking.

Très belle GuestHouse, très bien placée, fonctionnelle, confortable et propre. Le prix est assez élevé par rapport aux tarifs que l’on peut trouver en Europe continentale mais apparemment c’est des standards locaux. Très bon petit déjeuner.

Shared bathroom was a little smelly but okay. Bed and pillows were comfortable and breakfast was good. Parking was NOT free so description is misleading. You had to find street parking in P1, P2 or P3 areas. Only P3 was free in weekends.

Perfect location and great value for the money, especially with a good breakfast included (breakfasts, like everything else in Reykjavik, are very expensive). Basic accomodations but everything clean and in working order. With many hotels going to self check-in with no staff (and nightmares trying to resolve even the smallest problems), it was good to have actual people to help.

Ingen i resepsjonen og ved hjelp av kode tilsendt fikk vi nøkler. Rommet lå i en annen bygning i 3. etasje. Mange bratte trapper opp med koffert. Fint og stort rom med kjøkken og bad. Frokosten var utmerket.
