It's the beach. Our casita was clean. The furnishings were basic. There's no AC, just the fan and screened windows, so the large bed needed only a top sheet. But it was 30 or so steps from the fabulous, warm, coral and fish filled turquoise water. North American electronics will need a grounded European round adapter (i.e. two male prongs and one female slot on the power side). The hotel has a beach-side restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and a nice dinner venue by the highway. All service was friendly and helpful. Expect a $40 to $50 cab fare for the 30 km ride from the ferry.
