Upper Helmsley Hall

What an experience! Fantastic property for a large group. We were a party of 11 and a puppy and there was more than enough room for us all. Very grand residence but also super comfortable. The grounds were ideal - the tennis court a real bonus! Welcome pack was a nice touch and David, the caretaker very welcoming.

This is an elegant and comfortable country house in a tiny village just outside York. It has two large, elegant sitting rooms and a panelled dining room, perfect for formal dinners. We loved the house, its rambling corridors, comfortable bedrooms and elegant and fascinating objects and furniture. Perfect for a country house weekend.

The property was stunning - spacious and very well equipped. We made excellent use of the tennis court, jigsaws, scrabble and playing cards. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked/equipped. The dining room was able to accommodate our large group for a couple of dinners brought in from local restaurants!!! Our stay at Helmsley Hall was thoroughly lovely, and our hosts/property managers were available if needed, and gave us all the information we needed to help our stay be just what we expected.
