Lovely modern hotel ran by a nice family. The rooms are very spacious and have an amazing view of the bay. It's a little far from cat ba centre, 20-30min walk with a lot of incline and down cline! Not many restaurants and cafes around so you have to walk into centre for 'western' food and more options. It can also get noisy with the docks opposite and noise from neighbouring local shops. The hotel itself has potential of being 4* but some rooms are still being renovated so there was noise of drilling etc but if you're out all day it isn't a problem, it's quiet at night. TV I'm the room has Netflix so it's nice to relax in a big rooms after a long day on boat trips. Also book tours on cat ba it's cheaper then booking from Hanoi! The owner has a tour company too and offers good packages.
