The property is dated. It’s a three star compared to all inclusive in Mexico for example. The room layout was fine. Air conditioning was on constantly but couldn’t bring temperature below 22.5 on the thermostat. The sheets were moist with humidity. We were sweating inside the room. I asked for a fan and this was provided right away. The electric kettle had to be changed twice but was replaced immediately. An iron was provided on request. There were ants everywhere. I reported it. Whatever they did sorted the issue. The beach was fantastic. Pretty well nice powder sand and one can walk in quite a ways into the sea. No seaweed nothing. One day the beach keeper was taking the sand near where my son was building a sandcastle and he was smoking while doing it and the wind was blowing the smoke at us and then he threw the butt right where we were and I asked him why he did that and picked it up myself and threw it away and collected five others. The shower door was fault and kept banging shut. I thought it would shatter. The bathroom door kept swinging open with its full weight and hitting the shower door. Had to bunch up a towel to act as door stop. Very annoying. Fortunately there were no bugs. No mosquitoes were encountered at all which was nice. Hammamet Medina old and new and the marina are quite close. And a short drive away. There was no room service. The water is non-potable and so washing baby bottles and the logistics of that were tedious.

This is a beautiful property and kind staff. Food is the same as most resorts salads, meat, fish, even one or two vegan options which was a nice surprise. The spa is good but it didn't blow me away but still worth a massage. The only area I didn't like was that these is no real peaceful area in the main hotel or the back towards the beach other than at the front of the hotel where there are bungalows near the car park.naturally there is music from the pool, evening entertainment etc.I ended up in the bungalows near the car park which provides some peace and quiet but then you miss the view. For three nights it was ok.

Très agréable sejour dans ce bel hôtel, Chambre très propre, merci à Nesrin pour son travail et son sourire. Buffet très bon, merci à Hatem et Zied pour la table et leur service impeccable et parfait Accueil a la réception très bon et sécurité très sympa. Animation quotidienne et en soirée très appréciée Pour le hammam merci a la direction d indiquer que c est mixte cela évitera les mauvaises surprises. En résumé très bon hôtel mais peut mieux faire

Nous sommes arrivés le soir, ils nous ont donné un bungalow humide avec une odeur horrible, pas de serviettes et pas de couverture.À la réception, ils nous ont promis de nous changer le logement le lendemain après 12 h. Le 2eme logement était bien sauf dans la nuit la salle de bain était infestée de cafard et de fourmis. Le personnel était au top surtout au centre de thalassothérapie.

Nous sommes arrivés le soir, ils nous ont donné un bungalow humide avec une odeur horrible, pas de serviettes et pas de couverture.À la réception, ils nous ont promis de nous changer le logement le lendemain après 12 h. Le 2eme logement était bien sauf dans la nuit la salle de bain était infestée de cafard et de fourmis. Le personnel était au top surtout au centre de thalassothérapie.

En général c’est un bon hôtel. Un travail supplémentaire doit être fait au niveau de la propreté et le contrôle des insectes. Nous avons pris un bungalow côté jardin et il était rempli de fourmis. Restauration bien avec un bon service. Nous avons pris le All Inc, le choix des boissons reste limité (il y avait des boissons qui n’étaient pas incluses, alors que dans d’autres hôtels de la région elles y étaient). Le bémol est dans l’animation, pas trop à mon goût. Ceci dit, une jolie équipe d’animation qui essaie tout de même de donner le meilleur, bravo pour eux.

The stay was nit good initially. We were promised an upgrade and instead received a downgrade to one room and room view. Towels and gowns were ripped and stained. Bad smell in bathroom. Mugs and cups not provided for 3rd resident. When we asked, a dirty mug was delivered. There was a spark from the socket when we tried to charge our device. They ran out of slippers. The property is dated. It’s a three star compared to all inclusive in Mexico for example. The room layout was fine. Air conditioning was on constantly but couldn’t bring temperature below 22.5 on the thermostat. The sheets were moist with humidity. We were sweating inside the room. I asked for a fan and this was provided right away. The electric kettle had to be changed twice but was replaced immediately. An iron was provided on request. There were ants everywhere. I reported it. Whatever they did sorted the issue. The beach was fantastic. Pretty well nice powder sand and one can walk in quite a ways into the sea. No seaweed nothing. One day the beach keeper was taking the sand near where my son was building a sandcastle and he was smoking while doing it and the wind was blowing the smoke at us and then he threw the butt right where we were and I asked him why he did that and picked it up myself and threw it away and collected five others. The shower door was fault and kept banging shut. I thought it would shatter. The bathroom door kept swinging open with its full weight and hitting the shower door. Had to bunch up a towel to act as door stop. Very annoying. Fortunately there were no bugs. No mosquitoes were encountered at all which was nice. Hammamet Medina old and new and the marina are quite close. And a short drive away. There was no room service. The water is non-potable and so washing baby bottles and the logistics of that were tedious.

This is a beautiful property and kind staff. Food is the same as most resorts salads, meat, fish, even one or two vegan options which was a nice surprise. The spa is good but it didn't blow me away but still worth a massage. The only area I didn't like was that these is no real peaceful area in the main hotel or the back towards the beach other than at the front of the hotel where there are bungalows near the car park.naturally there is music from the pool, evening entertainment etc.I ended up in the bungalows near the car park which provides some peace and quiet but then you miss the view. For three nights it was ok.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel , Staff were kind enough to upgrade the room however there was plugged drains, carpets in hallways definitely need an upgrade the whole decors feels outdated. Overall disappointing experience. I will never book an hotel with non refundable conditions based on my experience.

Nothing unique, restaurant was nice, buffet was laid out very well and staff very nice, not all speak english, so there was some issues with languages. Bed was nice, room had ussues, especially air conditioner, but we mived the bed to the middle of the room to sleep somewhat cool.

Made a last minute booking after arriving to find our original hotel was less than optimal. Asked to view a room and was shown an obviously deluxe room, much more nicer than the room we actually got wheh booking which left us feeling a bit cheated. However, other than this, it was a lovely stay. Super friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Pleasant areas. Breakfast was included and was very nice, though exactly the same every day - would have been nice to have some variety. The entertainment team were incredible, shout out to Lilo, Mike and Alex. They were very good with my 11 year old son and whilst they encouraged me to join in the activities, they didnt push it when i said no! All in all a pleasant stay and would return.

L'hôtel n'a pas respecté la réservation d'hébergement, on a dû changer la chambre 5 fois pour finir dans un bungalow alors qu'on avait réservé à la base une chambre avec un grand lit double.

This is a beautiful property and kind staff. Food is the same as most resorts salads, meat, fish, even one or two vegan options which was a nice surprise. The spa is good but it didn't blow me away but still worth a massage. The only area I didn't like was that these is no real peaceful area in the main hotel or the back towards the beach other than at the front of the hotel where there are bungalows near the car park.naturally there is music from the pool, evening entertainment etc.I ended up in the bungalows near the car park which provides some peace and quiet but then you miss the view. For three nights it was ok.

The staff and food were the best elements of the trip. The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and good to see Tunisian options available. Some parts of the hotel in need of refurbishment and are looking very tired. Our bungalow room has loose curtain rails, loose soap dispensers, little holes in the curtains and the minibar fridge was rusty - not what you expect from 5* accommodation.

Nell’ insieme è stato un soggiorno molto rilassante con ampia scelta nei ristoranti siamo rimasti un po delusi del ristorante italiano che di italiano aveva poco ma che ci vuoi fare stiamo sempre in Tunisia e non si può pretendere troppo Eccezionale la SPA grande pulita ben organizzata con personale professionale e ben preparato è una location che consiglierei sicuramente

En général c’est un bon hôtel. Un travail supplémentaire doit être fait au niveau de la propreté et le contrôle des insectes. Nous avons pris un bungalow côté jardin et il était rempli de fourmis. Restauration bien avec un bon service. Nous avons pris le All Inc, le choix des boissons reste limité (il y avait des boissons qui n’étaient pas incluses, alors que dans d’autres hôtels de la région elles y étaient). Le bémol est dans l’animation, pas trop à mon goût. Ceci dit, une jolie équipe d’animation qui essaie tout de même de donner le meilleur, bravo pour eux.

The stay was nit good initially. We were promised an upgrade and instead received a downgrade to one room and room view. Towels and gowns were ripped and stained. Bad smell in bathroom. Mugs and cups not provided for 3rd resident. When we asked, a dirty mug was delivered. There was a spark from the socket when we tried to charge our device. They ran out of slippers. Breakfast was bland. Room service was poor with uncooked potato chips, bland food and garlic skin in the pasta. Spa masseuse refused to deliver a massage despite us paying for it. Poor quality toilet paper. Only one room key given initially. It took a lot of complaining and escalating for them to change our rooms.

Made a last minute booking after arriving to find our original hotel was less than optimal. Asked to view a room and was shown an obviously deluxe room, much more nicer than the room we actually got wheh booking which left us feeling a bit cheated. However, other than this, it was a lovely stay. Super friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. Pleasant areas. Breakfast was included and was very nice, though exactly the same every day - would have been nice to have some variety. The entertainment team were incredible, shout out to Lilo, Mike and Alex. They were very good with my 11 year old son and whilst they encouraged me to join in the activities, they didnt push it when i said no! All in all a pleasant stay and would return.

This is a good hotel that is having trouble keeping up standards. The staff are usually very helpful, and the beach is one of the best. However, so many small things were annoying. Even as we arrived, the receptionist had written down our room number ambiguously in a way that caused us and the porter to go to the wrong room. The first few days were hot even by Tunisian standards and the room air conditioning could not cope. It was always too loud, but at least was fine as the temperature dropped. Food smells were strong from the balcony or the halls. The shower door allowed water to flood out after use - this was fixed after we complained, but proof of poor maintenance. Our room card stopped working after exactly seven days - even though the hotel knew how long we were staying. If their policy is just to grant seven days access they must tell us surely? One of the most annoying things was the ATM never worked for us, or anyone else. This would be no issue in many places, but the Steigenberger is isolated and needs a drive to get to a working ATM in the town. The basic standard of the food was fine, but there was a lack of actual Tunisian food in favour of bland euro stuff. Unforgivably, there was no decent coffee - only instant Nescafe - completely unforgivable in a country with good coffee, For this reason alone, I won't return. We think the small beach restaurant gave us a stomach bug from hygiene problems. These could all be fixed, but limit your stay until then!

The Pros: Food & Drinks: Excellent variety, delicious meals, and great drink options throughout our stay. Housekeeping had no fixed schedule—they often didn't show up until after 2:00 PM, and we had to call every three days just to get them to service the room. On one day, the worker claimed her key card didn't work, and another time they only swapped towels at the door instead of cleaning. Theft: To top it all off, a Nuxe hair care product was stolen from our room following housekeeping service, and management has completely ghosted us regarding the complaint. Minor Issues: A brief power outage occurred, and the reception desk frequently ignores phone calls, requiring several attempts to get help. I hate giving it 5 star rating as I want to keep this hotel as my secret hideaway! But credit where it is due. This is my 3rd visit in the last 9 months and I will continue to come back. The team are amazing from the reception and porters, to the waiters and valets, the chefs and the life guards to housekeeping and the bar and of course not to mention the excellent entertainments team. I cannot commend the hotel highly enough. It is formal but informal, with fellow guests enjoying the facilities and welcoming feel with the environment being super enough to want to dress up for dinner! I recommend it to anyone who wants a quality hotel in a beautiful hotel with a great beach!! This time I had a room in the main hotel which was not disappointing but I usually have a bungalow which I love for the character of the brick ceiling. I have to also mention the spa - what a fabulous plus for the hotel. The treatments are professional and thoroughly enjoyable, great value and all in beautiful surroundings. Even though I am off to another hotel I will be coming back to book spa treatments as they are top notch! Well done team - missing you all already but will return. Keep up the good work.

The staff were excellent. Super helpful and friendly. Our room was great and we got an upgrade. However it all felt very tired. The food was definitely below what we would expect and a bit of a bun fight in the restaurant. It served its purpose for the 4 night stay but I doubt we will be returning.
