Hampton Inn Atlanta McDonough

Checked in and sent to a room that was open and not cleaned from last occupant. Only a small section of the parking lot in front of hotel was lighted. Gentleman at front desk did a good job of managing the issues but was by himself and had to clean and make the room ready at 1 am by himself.

My overall experience was a good one, with the exception of three things: 1. When I checked in I was thirsty, and told I could not have complimentary water because it was for guest who booked directly with the hotel itself, and not through a booking service. I was offended because the mere fact that I selected to say at your hotel should have been welcoming in itself, because I could have chosen to spend my money elsewhere and not at Hampton. 2. I attempted to use the business office, I needed to print document, but the front desk clerk and I could not get the service to work. 3. I wanted to do laundry, but found out they did not have any laundry products available. They had been out for some time, and didn't know when they would get any in stock. I was appalled that the acting manager Amiyah read her response to me from a script directing me to go to other hotels in the area to buy laundry supplies.

The woman at the front desk when we arrived was so nice! The hotel had some issues, no keys, no tv, very cold. But she was so nice, got us in our room and was helpful. Not sure what was up with nothing working, but we just needed some rest and we got it. But we were so cold.

This hotel was nice and quite, staff was very friendly staffed help when we needed, The only thing I didn’t like was that the pool didn’t alway stay clean but other then that my experience was great… will recommend to anybody

We had a lovely stay. Our room was large and comfortable. The pool was delightful and the breakfast was delicious. Will stay again.

Hot water ran out one morning.

The room smelled of someone weird. The pool was closed because someone stole the linning! Was charged twice. He said it didn't show we paid Hotels.com but we had.

Great check in and check out process. Room was very spacious, as was bathroom. Ample towels and good water pressure. There was a heated pool some folks were swimming in, and appeared to be having fun. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. Hot breakfast with friendly attendant. I would stay again.

We checked in after waiting for 25 minutes with no one at the front desk. I called out for assistance and no one responded. Finally someone came out and said she was busy working on the computer and did not see me on the security cameras, which is alarming. We left the hotel for our activity and when we returned there was no water. The front desk was a bit annoyed when we called and could not give us any information. They apparently are the only hotel on the block that did not have water as the county shut it off. Not ideal to not pay your bill when you have guests at your hotel.

Hand prints all over headboards. Felt like a seedy motel. Staff unwilling to clean and did not have available room to switch us to. Offered no incentive.

Clean and quiet

This was the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. It was quiet, clean and even the bed was comfortable. The kids even said the sleeper sofa was comfy. Hotel is close to shopping and food. The only downside was the interstate traffic could be heard occasionally but it didn’t keep any of us awake.

Filthy property. Room and hallways were dirty. Not well maintained. No TV during our stay. No hot water for showers.

The room was booked online and check in was lengthy due to $50 hold as well as no availability before 3 pm which complicated me settling to get ready for my sons bday. There was hair in the bathroom floor and shower. The toilet wiggly, the soap dispensers didn’t look sanitized and the wall behind the nightstand was dirty and had gunk on it. Breakfast was neat.

Front desk receptionist was good, however my room (bathroom) was filthy. Shower was not cleaned and had various hairs all over it. Requested cleaning service to clean room and they did a poor job. Shoe print that was in shower was never cleaned.

Property is clean inside and out.

The room’s floor was really dirty. They didn’t even try to clean it.

The room was great and so was the breakfast. Everything was very clean too. Would definitely stay here again.

Really nice room bed was great best night sleep on my 2 week trip

4th floor smelled like a wet dog, couldn’t connect to internet on my device. Phone was old as can be, no one answered at the front desk from the room phone after 7-8 attempts. It just rang. I had to reach them by calling from my phone. I stay at Hilton and Hampton all the time. Their phones usually have IT button on them but these phones were archaic. Because of security I usually have to have their internet support add me in manually. They said they didn’t have a number, no one knew how to help at the hotel. I tried the helpline, one guy said he could help, I asked if he knew how to add a MAC address and he didn’t know what it was! Then I was given a number for IT that was disconnected. Then another number didn’t service that hotel the I got the disconnected number again from another person. They called and it was in fact disconnected and he couldn’t help. For 3 hours I tried to get help and only option I was given was to change hotels at 1 am and finally they say they would mail me a paper check refund AND I could pay for another room. I stay in hotels 3-5 nights a week for work and this was the absolute worst. I will say otherwise it was clean and breakfast was amazing. Never again will I stay here because they were very non chalant and said things like, I don’t know a number we call the manager and I’m not calling my manager cause you can’t connect. I paid 178 dollars for this room and never again will I stay there.

They were running behind on check-in- rooms were not ready by 3. The toilet ran continuously! the toilet paper holder fell off. The couch was very worn. Of course, there is lots of highway noise.

Traveling with my wife and we typically select Hampton Inns because we can typically rely on them for a good stay. Unfortunately, this location had one of the noisiest rooms that we have ever stayed in. Even a noise machine couldn’t cancel out th road noise. We were on the 4th floor and it sounded like we had the window open. They failed there primary function of providing a good night’s rest.

Bed was too soft and toilet was too low

I have always stayed at Hamptons because their beds are so comfortable with the thick mattresses and fluffy bedding that made me not even want to get out of the bed. I even bought a mattress so that it was like the one at the hotel. This mattress was horrible like I was sleeping on the floor and it had padding on top of the mattress that didn't fit well. It was not comfortable at all. This shocked me to be a Hampton. I will continue to stay at Hamptons but this one was disappointing. Everything else about the hotel was excellent and the location was close to everything.

The Lady Who takes care of the Breakfast was plasant and welcoming. The bed room door was dificult to open. Other than that we were satified with the overal condition.

Bed frame was broken and loud. Sitting on it sounded like a metal gong went off. Sheets didnt fit the bed and were constantly popping off. Bed, chair and recliner were all stiff as boards. Remote was duck taped together after clearly being broke. There were only 47 local tv channels for room entertainment options and half were in spanish. Staff was friendly and breakfast was great

I waited in lobby 10minutes for manager to come front desk! Isiah the manager was aggressive,rude, very urban attitude after addressing a concern I had when I called the property days before & Charlene a front desk left me on hold & had difficulty helping! I explained I understood she may have been busy & that’s ok! My boyfriend & I were insulted by his anger! ISIAH stated 3 times he didn’t want my service & to leave his property! He said you paid EXPEDIA not me so you can leave! I explained we traveled far & had no intention of a bad stay or conflict! He was loud & finally allowed us to check in! My boyfriend and I were calm & constantly asked him to lower his voice! My room 319 had a horrible door we couldn’t lock it, the wood in between the lock made it difficult to try to shut! I was afraid to ask for another room! We blocked the door at night with our luggage! Horrible Stay for 2 nights! I asked for a receipt for my stay he refused & said he couldn’t print it! I will complain to upper management

I was not impressed with the service. I booked a room for two. Only one towel and one wash cloth provided in bathroom. When more were requested, one more of each was given. And their price for a pet was not exactly what I would consider pet friendly. 75 dollars is outrageous.

Excellent check-in experience. Front desk person was very nice and helpful. She made the experience better and was very professional and kind.

Staff was beyond helpful and genuinely friendly.

The Staff, Service, Condition, and Cleanliness of the Property was Outstanding even in the midst of some renovating. The location is perfect!!!

Easy access to I75.

We spent 1 night and were very pleased. The room was scrupulously clean and well supplied. The bed was nicely firm, and our only gripe was that the pillows were not supportive at all. Wi-Fi was a little hard to connect to. Good breakfast (eggs & sausage). We appreciated the coffee that was available in the evening as well as the delicious cookies, thank you! The location was convenient to many restaurants. We would definitely return to this Hampton Inn in McDonough and would recommend it to others.

Lots of noise from the interstate

Totally uneventful stay at a reasonably priced and convenient hotel. This is just how I like it.

The employees were great, the breakfast was very good. The bathroom needs a little updating.There was no soap, no hand towels or washcloths. Overall it was a good stay.

No one was at the front desk throughout our stay. Had to wait every time I needed assistance. Charged $75 pet fee instead of the listed $50 fee even after I showed the web page info. Breakfast selections were not refilled. Did not offer decaf coffee. Bathroom smelled like urine. Front desk woman was not helpful when she actually arrived at her station. We will never stay at Hampton inn again.

Good food although they did not have anything for gluten free options.

Hot water dispenser in dining area was beige on one occasion and on other days it had the odd coffee grounds in it. Sorry - otherwise, dining room was very good.
