Majestic Sun 913A Miramar Beach (Condo)

Our stay was great! The property was very clean and had we an awesome view of the ocean. I used the gym daily and the family used the pool and hot tub nightly. Very short walk to the beach. My son fished on Stewart lake. Checking in and out was very easy and I communicated with property manager via text with very quick responses. We will definitely be back!

The property is great for beach lovers. The beach is just a few minutes away across the street. The unit has a beautiful direct ocean view from the balcony & master bedroom. This is a spacious 2-bedroom condo. The gym is well equipped & maintained. The pool facilities are great & I enjoyed both the indoor & outdoor pool. All restaurants are about a 5minute drive. The building has great security oversight & ample outdoor/indoor parking. Lastly, the unit owner (Samantha) is great and is always available to address your questions.

Elevators never worked, and when they were working, they would stop with people stuck on them for 30+ minutes. Appliances way out of date, and didn't work very well.

This condo at Majestic Sun was everything the website promised and more. We have been going to Miramar Beach/Destin for a family vacation for years and we have always seen the Majestic Sun complex and thought, "Wouldn't it be cool to stay there." It is one of only a few that is close to the beach and has a fabulous unblocked view of the ocean from the balcony. The amenities were great--especially the pool area. The unit was clean and well-equipped and near many restaurants, shops and stores. The owner was very helpful and kept in touch to make sure we were OK. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather all week--fortunately the storm stayed east of us. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit and encourage you to find your place at the Sun!

We had the best time at the beach staying at this unit. It has absolutely everything you need. We went as a family of three. My spouse and I stayed in the master, and our daughter slept on bunk bed. The view is incredible. Two hot tubs, indoor and outdoor pool, a small souvenir store in the building, walking distance to a couple of restaurants, a walk-in trail and a bike lane. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. We will definitely be coming back. The unit was clean, The bed was comfortable. I can’t wait to return to this place!

This condo is in the perfect location. We had a few hiccups during our stay but Samantha did a great job getting back to us and straightening things out. It’s beautifully decorated, just needs a little freshening up as some items are worn out. Samantha includes all the extra little details in the condo from a Keurig with k-cups, initial shampoo/conditioner, all sinks have hand soap included along with dish soap. It was nice having a weeks worth of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags already in the condo since most don’t provide this. Overall, we would stay again!

Unit cleaned nicely upon our arrival. Although unit is in need of painting, good grout cleaning of tiled floor and bathtub areas. We were provided code to get into our unit, however we never received email/text with code to enter pool area or front doors to building.Biggest complaint for those of you in wheelchairs - the front of building has no ramp access to the street. You will always have to go in and out of back doors and walk all the way around building to get to street and beach area. (You can cut through pool area, if someone provides you with the code to enter through pool, yet this entry point is not convenient to elevators).Accessing the beach in the wheelchair is also an adventure, as there are only two ramps to the beach. Neither of which are close to the entrance of the Majestic Sun, but not all that far away. They are very steep ramps, that definitely do not meet ADA guidelines.

Have been staying at majestic for 23 years and we love it. I will say that this condo has had a major update and is much nicer than pictured! The only down fall is that majestic sun is such a big place with so many condos that the pool quickly became over crowded, water was hot, and smelled of urine because of the amount of people.

We had a fantastic time at Majestic Sun. The pools and hot tubs were fantastic (along with the beach)! The condo could use some upgrades, but we won’t count off points for aesthetics. What we do suggest is that hooks be installed in the bathrooms, hallway, and outdoor balcony to hang towels, swimsuits, etc. There needs to be a pizza cutter or scissors in the kitchen along with a pizza baking pan and the trays under the stove burners need replaced. And the toaster only toasts on one side. The condo was clean, had hot water and cold AC and was a great place for us. I wouldn’t bet on using the couch bed, but the bunks were great for out 9 y/o and the master bed was comfy and soft. I loved having a washer/dryer so I could freshen up towels and not pack as much. Great place and would stay again.

Overall, the condo needed major cleaning and updating. Both restrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Mold on the back of the master bathroom door and the walls were gross. Extra blankets in the master closet were dirty and old. In the2nd bedroom the tv box looked like it had never been dusted. When you turn the master shower on it sound like an airplane about to take off. Hot water ran out fast. We did enjoy our stay and made the best of it, but I personally would not want to stay in this room again.

The ceiling and baseboards in the bathrooms look moldy and need cleaned. Toilets did not flush properly and would run constantly. The sink in the guest bathroom wouldn't drain, my husband was able to fix it so it worked for our stay. I doubt the condo gets cleaned appropriately as we found a cigarette in the kitchen cabinets - scary since I have a toddler that could’ve gotten ahold of it. The appliances in the kitchen need replaced as they are rusty. The couch in the living room also needs replaced as cushions and pillows are flat from use.

The only good things are location and the view from balcony. Besides clean towels and bed sheets, it needs DEEP cleaning. Air in the apartment was musky/moldy and some our faces were swollen due to allergic reaction. Sofa sleepers mattress had brown stains all around. The elevators in the building breaks down frequently (had only one working, long wait line). All appliances and pots pans are very old and stained.

I also told them I'd tried to wipe it down with a papertowel & shampoo bc there were no cleaning products, sponge, dishwashing liquid, & only one hand towel. (I mentioned that we had stayed the in heart of key west in a condo similar to this (for less&) & I would think if any place would have that smell, it would be there but it didn't. They said they were sorry I wasn't 100% happy & were surprised to hear it bc they only had positive feedback on that unit in the past but they would bring some cleaning supplies & such by to make our stay more comfortable. They said they didn't detect any smell when they were there but some people cook & the oven may need to be cleaned & they could do that also when they brought the extra supplies. They said they couldn't speak to key west but their prices were competitive with others around us. I told them they misunderstood why I brought up key west, that I wasn't looking for a discount 🤦\u200d♀️. & that they ignored mildew/mold issue- but was telling the truth & they could do with it what they wanted but we would not be back. They didn't say anything else, but brought the supplies the next day. Everytime we left & came back the smell hit us. After being there for a while we could smell til we left and came back. We also had periodic headaches there. I got home last night I was putting up my clothes I didn't wear and now am having to wash everything bc of the smell. Nice, updated condo that was clean and in a perfect location. Easy access to the beach. I would recommend updating the condo photos as the place is totally updated and with all new / different furnishings

Pros: - Directly across the street from beach - Comfortable bed (the picture in the listing shows a dip in the bed, which has been fixed) - Provides starter kit of toilet paper, dish soap, sponge, paper towels, dishwasher pods, and coffee (which we used them all) - The ice maker works and the ice doesn't taste bad like some Florida water - Working washer and dryer - Very nice pool areas and gym - Plenty of bath towels - Cannot hear the neighboring condos except for water draining (shower/toilet) - There was a table fan left by someone that we used for noise while sleeping Cons: -The tub faucet leaks constantly -The bedroom window is right in the open elevator lobby and the lights shine in (we put up a dark blanket to block light thanks to another reviewer's suggestion) -The hallway is very noisy with people running, talking and you can hear the elevator dings constantly if you are in the bedroom -The kitchen overhead light was intermittent. May have a bad ballast - The condo needs updating as the lamp shades were cracked, one table chair leg was ready to break and rust on the refrigerator - Washer tub is small in case you have a lot of laundry to do - Loved sitting on the balcony but the table and chairs were high and if you eat dinner out there the table is about at the height of your knees Tip: bring all your own beach chairs umbrella or rent for $30 for half day on the beach All in all it was a clean condo and great location.

There were a few things that were a little outdated in our unit. All appliances with exception of the range hood microwave need replacing, the tub/shower faucet in the master bath leaks constantly, paint on all the walls has streaks all in it, furniture in the living room is not comfortable at all. It just seems a lot of items are very dated in the unit compared to other units in the same building.

Overall good stay. There are ocean views but its across the road so there isnt nuch relaxing on the balcony and listening to the waves. There is traffic 24/7- often loud with honking and music. This didnt interrupt our sleep but we love just sitting on the balcony which wasnt a highlight of this trip. The listing shows ammenities like ball courts and grills but they are so far away. Like unrelaistically far away to grill. If you have a golf cart the courts arent so bad but Idk anyone who would want to nake that hike with a tray of burgers. The beach was lovely as always and its close to restaurants and grocery. Condo filled our needs

We've stayed many times at Majestic Sun and are never disappointed. This was our 1st time in 1110A and we loved it! The view from the balcony was outstanding. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The entire condo was very clean. Close to the beach and several excellent places to eat.

The furniture in the living and dining area is extremely old and worn. The legs on the dining chairs are wobbly and there are stains on the pillows and bar stool cushions. The balcony only has two chairs to sit in and needs more seating options. The bathtub in the master bathroom leaks continuously and there are water stains in the bathrooms. Would recommend curtains in master bedroom to block light from outside hallway. We really did enjoy our stay, but before booking and paying this price would like to see renovations before staying again.

We really enjoyed this property! Bonus that it was completely remodeled on the inside compared to the pictures! My family LOVED this house and will be looking forward to returning soon!

Majestic Sun was amazing. The pools were big and clean, it wasn’t overly crowded even on Memorial Day. Right across the road from the ocean, road wasn’t overly busy and neither was the beach. Condo is located with 10 miles of anywhere you would want to go in Destin and the surrounding area. As far as the unit, it was probably our least favorite room we have ever stayed in. All furniture and appliances are VERY outdated. With how cheap you can get items like this on sale often, there’s no reason not to have smart tv’s and k-cup style coffee pots. Larger appliances were very outdated as well. The stools were old and one of them the leather was peeling off onto the floor and our clothing. Large bed/pillows in the bedroom were very uncomfortable and we left with very stiff necks and backs. Would give it a 5/5 if the room was updated with newer furniture and appliances.

Our experience from planning throughput our entire stay was exceptional. The process on arrival day was seemless and the owner personally contacted us to ensure we wanted for nothing! I highly recommend Samantha's property.

Everything was clean, great location, communication was excellent! Answered all of my questions immediately. This is out new place from now on when we come to Florida twice a year.

The check in/check out process was very easy. The communication was a little delayed at times. We had a few small issues. The ice maker in the refrigerator was broken and the smoke alarm batteries were dead in a bedroom which woke everyone up because it was chirping. These issues were addressed by the host during our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Majestic Sun.great

This property was perfect for my family vacation! Great view off of the balcony of the ocean, close proximity to shopping and restaurants, and couldn’t be any closer to the beach! The resort pool could have been maintained better as there were some pavers around the pool that were missing or loose but otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay!

Our stay in this condo was great! It was our first family vacation since having our second child. The owner is very responsive and very accommodating! The condo was very clean and was a great location! The photos of the condo were slightly different than the way it was set up during our stay, but we figured there were some updates. This condo was minutes from the outlet mall, minutes from great dining, and literally a minute walk across the street to the beach. We truly enjoyed staying at Majestic Sun and would definitely stay again!

The condo was clean and large enough for our family, a party of 5. The beds were a bit uncomfortable due to very firm mattresses. The most comfortable sleeping experience was had by my soon on the pull-out couch, which had a softer pad. The furniture is nice and new. We did not cook but the kitchen had enough to manage. There are only essentials there ( no spices or pantry items as are in some rentals). The coffee pot is a pot, not a keurig just for preparation notes - you'll need to bring or buy all meal preparation items. We did not interact with any staff except for gate security. The location is convenient to dining and shopping. The umbrellas were arranged daily ( be there at 9AM to get a front row) at the hut closest to the Whale's Tail - this was nice perk and the discount on an additional umbrella set-up was nice as well. Mezcal's Mexican Grill was excellent! We also ate seafood at Dewey's, LuLu's and Pompano Joe's. The Whale's Tail had excellent food for lunch at the beach. Our teens went to two birds coffee - they jogged there in the mornings, but the distance would be more than some would want to walk - about a mile from the property. We would recommend this beach location and property. We were satisfied with the experience.
