The folks that worked the breakfast were very nice, but they were the only people we saw. Place is pretty run down. We arrived late and had trouble finding the place. Not well marked, and the entrance was not well marked or lit. An entry table with an envelope and one key was waiting for us. Finally found our room on 3rd floor and it was hot. No thermostat or AC that we could find. Slept poorly in hot room. Found window AC unit behind a curtain in the bathroom the next morning. Not marked, no sign. When I mentioned it to the breakfast woman, she said "oh no - were the curtains closed?", so it had happened before and housekeeping closed them anyway. Paint peeling off the walls and ceilings. Tables outside dirty and had weeds growing around them. Overall, had a Widow's Bay vibe. I saw on some other reviews that there are new owners and they are trying to fix it up and improve things. I wish them luck and would try it again if it was ever fixed up. Otherwise - no.

It was nice to be a bit off the beaten path but close to the UD area. It is a property that needs some attention and it looks like the owners are doing the best they can. It is an historic home so in constant need of upkeep. You can see the patches everywhere. Unfortunately everything feels like the jobs are only getting half completed. The breakfast was the best part as there were plenty of choices and great coffee. The bed was comfortable, so another plus. There is no one to greet you, just an envelope with your keys and instructions to your room. The personal touch was missing.

Picturesque property with comfortable accommodations and a prince of an innkeeper. Planning to stay again.

Very beautiful historical home with each room specially and uniquely furnished. Breakfast was great and surroundings beautiful. Family staff very friendly and nice. Know it is an old home so some old things, air conditioner but worth staying and enjoying quiet setting.

Staff were kind people. Something went south with the booking as I was told hotels.com allowed me to book a room that doesn't exist. It does exist I could see it on the property. The hotel double booked and was renting my room to someone else. We had no choice but to try and make it work onsite as the location was the reason we selected this spot. It was not a comfortable stay at all. The people here are good people and are tying their best but should not be in this business my visit was beyond horrible. If booking beware. No turndown, no clean towel refresh, no AC, no water bottles... the entrance to the spot we were put was not safe no stairs no lights, just a slippery grass hill.
