The pool side room was nice and clean and smelled good when we walked in. The staff was great, especially the front desk and the employee at tide beach bar. Only downfall The bed was fairly hard and not very comfortable. We had a great view and a great first experience and we will definitely be back. The food and drinks at tides beach bar is excellent!!!

Quiet, clean with all the amenities in one location. No need to leave the property if you don't want to. Restaurant, bar and 2 pools. One for the kids and 1 for the adults, nice touch. Easy parking well maintained older style hotel.

The property had kind and helpful front desk staff. The parking was easy. The pool was nice, and the beach was beautiful. Weekday rates were fair. Unfortunately, they did not provide lounge chairs on the beach. There was a service that provided chairs for $20 each for the day. I thought that was a bit overpriced. $10 would have been a lot fairer. The mattresses in our room were sloped. Uneven. Neither of us was able to sleep. We also had the A/C unit blowing on one of the beds continuously. The oceanfront room was wonderful though.

Love the location. Room was older. Sliding glass door to balcony foggy so couldn’t see out half the time, and very hard to open. Elevators very old and very hot. Property definitely needs some TLC.

Right on beach, quiet & clean. Under construction so no bar or restaurant as advertised. No restaurants or shops in walking distance but this was good in some ways although did require driving or hiring a car. Breakfast buffet vouchers much appreciated. Delicious buffet at resort A . Whole day with no towels on pool deck, pool closed due to storms (not necessary) and water out at shower/hose by beach which resulted in a lot of sand getting dragged in room. Room was good except torn screen on back porch. Would’ve actually preferred no screen at all since screen obstructed view. Over all was good and well worth expense.

The floors were not well cleaned from the last guests, I don't think. They appeared to not have been mopped and were sandy. The kitchen area by the oven had not been well cleaned either. Service was excellent as usual but more attention to room cleaning is needed.

The room smelled so horrible. Moldy! The owners dis a brief remodel, painting over wall paper and putting up headboard on ceiling but it needs to be gutted and remediated. The mattress was as old uncomfortable.

Our room was musty smelling, mildew on lampshades. Management changed those out. We went to dinner, when we turned the tile floor was moist, puddle of water by air conditioner unit. Bedspread & sheets were moist to the touch. Attendant at front desk moved us to another room. It did smell better but we noticed mirror in room was completely covered in moisture as well as another granite countertop. That was enough for we left & checked into a Hampton Inn in Georgetown,SC.

Staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel was in a great location. Right on the beach. Super safe and quiet. The floor in our room was dirty and the shower curtain we had replaced. Other then that the place was perfect!

Checkin staff super nice. They let us go to our room 3 hours early! WiFi didn’t work in room, few plugs for devices. Excellent ocean view and balcony. Pool area great, live music. Elevators run down. But I would definitely return!

Stayed in the Towers,Room was ok but it has some age on it. The air conditioner made a little noise which made it hard to sleep.The furniture was not accommodating for clothes to be stored in drawers so it's living out of the bag. I have to say the view was worth it all though, I could watch the ocean laying in bed.

Joe with Guest Services was perfect. As a person with disabilities and traveling alone, I felt very comfortable. The King Deluxe Room was perfection with gorgeous ocean views. Parking couldn’t be any easier. Renting the beach umbrella and chairs in front of the Inn was wonderful and worth the price of only $40. I will be back and thank you to Joe!

This was one of the worst rooms we’ve stayed in at The Oceanfront. We were very Disappointed! We had a booked a Dunes room to begin with and were very excited but due to my husbands work schedule had to change our arrive date by one day and lost out on that room. We had to make a whole new rsvp pay another deposit and ended up with a not as nice room. The room had a bad musty smell. Terrible shower although the water was hot really hard to get the water rinsed off and out of your hair. Bathroom space very small not lot room to get ready dry hair. Never want a room like that again

You are definitely paying for the Oceanside location/view. The rooms are individually owned (and rented) so each one is unique. We’ve stayed a few times now solely for the location. A few simple upgrades would go a long way towards improving the rooms. A kitchenette was available but no dish soap or towels? Appropriate sized lanai furniture would be a bonus. It’s a great location with a lovely view!

Returning to my room in thhe evening to find there was no service at all. Unmade bed and towels just as we had left them. For the rate charged, this is totally unacceptable

Our stay was great! However I would’ve been happier if the housekeeping was better and cleaned day by day. Asked for our bedding to be changed multiple times before they dropped off sheets to me then I had to put them on the bed myself only to find out they were the wrong size. Overall happy with my stay just wish the housekeeping kept up on their rooms.

Litchfield inn didn't have the reservation confirmation from Ecpedia. The check in staff was extremely helpful and gave me the 2 rooms anyway. The manager who had left for the day would not even call the staff back to help. She instead would text. And then was not helpful. But the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

so originally our first room that we got was an oceanfront room it was not very clean and there ended up being some mold on the curtains, so we went downstairs and talked to the staff, and they placed us in a very nice room with a pool view and the service was really great. overall, really enjoyed the stay and would be happy to go back.

This is a great place, mainly due to its beachfront location. This year, it is going through renovations, so it was quite noisy during the day, but that hasn’t been a problem the other times we’ve stayed there. All the extra destination, resort, cleaning, etc. fees seem a bit excessive. I wonder if those can be reduced. The staff are super-friendly and helpful, and I appreciate the included breakfast and free parking.

It is so close to the beech. You feel like you are on the beech when you are in your room or on your balcony. Also many restaurants within minutes on Hwy 17. The food was great every where we ate.

The views were beautiful and the Ocean restaurant was wonderful. The rooms need major updates and the daily breakfasts were reduced everyday of our stay down to no available regular coffee or cups at one point. Unacceptable

The property is right on the beach. An ocean view is a must. It is Well taken care of and very clean. It has it all, dining and a café. Light breakfast is served every morning. Make your own waffle. It has all the conveniences. I would book again.

The location and the beach area is very good. The hotel itself is somewhat dated. It appears some attemps were made to update plumbing fixtures and bedding. The rug in the room was a bit dingy. The bifold closet door was mising a guide in the track making it hard to close. The room had a musty smell and was very damp. A dehumidifier was needed to help control that. There were very few open electrical sockets available in order to charge cell phones. Several extension cords were routed in order to try to remody that. There was a complementery breakfast available to those who booked directly. We did not qualify for this because we booked thru Expedia. The breakfast itself consisted of powdered scranbled eggs and some breakfast meats that were somewhat cold at a cost of $13.00. Not too satifying. The main plus of this facility was the location and quality of the beach.

The location was great. The quality of food in the casual restaurant was very good. Breakfast was fairly basic though. Facility was tired and apparently understaffed, resulting in poor service. We had to ask for towels to be replaced on our 2nd day because no one came to our room, as was expected on a daily basis. We had a maintenance issue with the toilet, which was not properly addressed. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff was very nice and friendly. Overall the property just needs attention as it is older. It is a convenient location and the amenities (Pool, beach access) are great. The breakfast was offsite due to renovations and the quality of the breakfast was not good.
