Hotel basic but clean as was the bedroom which had a comfy bed ( less so the pillows). Very helpful polite staff: on check in quickly changing my room due the room safe not working. Also let me leave case on checkout for collection later. No breakfast to speak of: croissant and coffee. No lift. Good for main tram link to the shops/airport and beach ( also walkable in 20 minutes)

Hotel was perfectly fine. Small rooms but clean, walkable from the train station. Staff kind and helpful. The bathroom had a strange folding door that was very hard to open and close, kind of a fire hazard. No elevator so pack light!

Reasonably priced. Great location. Very nice staff. Paid parking in nearby multi-story garage. Worked fine for a night in a fantastic city!

Bring ear plugs, late night party seen and early workers. Had to leave the windows open because the management removed all of the remote controls for the AC. I realize we as Americans like AC and the Europeans may not but just because summer is over doesn’t mean it’s not warm. It was in the high 80’s which made the room much hotter.

The checkin was easy. All the staff were pleasant and answered all my questions. I had a room three floors up (no elevator). The A/C worked well. The TV had no English channels, but that was OK. The bathroom door was this flimsy wooden folding door; I was afraid to push it to full closure for fear it would fall down, which meant it was impossible to make the room dark for early mornings or naps. The continental breakfast was grim. The espresso machine that worked less and less each day to the point of only making hot chocolate. My main concern was a large dog that moved around the first floor. His owners no doubt know him to be friendly and good-natured, but he is an unfamiliar dog to me, and I prefer he be leashed or kept behind a gate (they have one but don’t use it). One morning around 7am, an alarm went off. There was no attempt to ensure that guests went downstairs, nor were guests told it was a false alarm. In fact I never received any communication before, during or after that explained the alarm. This is serious to me. Furthermore, as I was heading down the stairs (only I responded to the alarm), the dog was behind one of the doors on the stair landing. This time he was very agitated from the alarm and was snarling and barking. I knew they were about to open the door and felt very vulnerable on the stairs. I yelled “hold the dog” several times and got down the stairs. I do not want this kind of stress when I traveling.

Le personnel est à l'écoute et réactif. La chambre bien que petite propose toutes les commodités et est très propre ainsi que la salle de bains. La clim était déjà en marche à notre arrivée. Personnellement c'était un peu trop frais (22 degrés). Il faut demander à l'accueil si vous souhaitez augmenter la température.

This is a very good and very centrally located hotel. If you value convenience and being 10-15 mins' walk to the beach, the old town and the station, then it's a very good option. Salma on reception deserves a special mention for her friendliness and attempts to address our questions and requests. Much appreciated- thank you, Salma! Room seemed to be recently refurbished but did lack some basics like hooks to hang towels. Aircon worked but WiFi didn't. Cleaners came daily, which was great, and when prompted they changed bedsheets. Within two minutes' walk you have a supermarket, a shopping centre, cafes and restaurants and the tram interchange giving easy access to most of Nice. All in all, Hotel Nice Etoile was very good value for money.

Pros: 1. Great location. Everything is at pretty walkable distance. 2. Front desk people are nice and friendly. Cons: 1. Rooms are too small. It is so small that you can't even open a luggage totally. 2. They charge 9 Euro for breakfast but all they provide is basic bread, mini croissants, cereals, milk, juice and machine coffee. 3. No elevator and it was hard to carry luggage to the third floor using the stairs.

Good choice for a short stay in Nice, a short walk from the tram stop, and very close to a major shopping centre. You need to be sure to remember the door code as reception is not 24 hours.

Property location was great, right off the main strip, not far from the beaches or old nice. The air conditioning worked very well. The rooms were still dirty and had some damage to the door. We were moved to another room which wasnt much better. There were some small bugs. It was a very budget hotel. It would be fine if you are solo or arent expecting any amenities.

The location was great and the staff were helpful and friendly. The online pictures were misleading. My room was in disrepair. The whole hotel smelled horribly of cigarette smoke, including the room. If I hadn’t already prepaid, I would have changed hotels.

Excellent accueil à mon arrivée à l'hôtel. La propreté de la chambre est irréprochable. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal (proche du cours Jean Médecin).

Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening , lite men rent og hyggelig rom. Beliggende i stille tverrgate til Le Medisin hvor trammen går. Eneste minus var at det luktet mugg eller lignende på badet selv om det var rent der , ikke heis. Gangavstand til togstasjonen.

Nettes Hotel mit einfachen, aber sauberen Zimmern in guter Lage.

Hôtel bien situé au centre de Nice, c'est le seul avantage qu'il a. Chambre propre mais petite équipée d'un lit 140, 2 petites tables de nuit, un bureau, une chaise, un miroir et une tv miniature au mur. Très bruyant on entend les aller et venues dans le couloir, et les planchers tremblent dans les chambres à l'étage supérieur. Manque bouilloire pour éventuellement faire un café ou un thé. La vue sur la cour intérieure est indescriptible, nous avons préféré garder les volets fermés.

The area can be a little noisy when garbage trucks come through at odd hours or people are on the street late at night, but ear plugs help. Overall the room was comfortable, but very tight in space. Godt ophold. Hotellet ligger perfekt til en forlænget weekend i Nice. 10 minutters gågang til den gamlebydel og stranden, og shopping næsten lige udenfor døren. Vi manglede dog et køleskab og muligheden for at skrue på airconditionanlægget.

Amazing staff, who were very helpful! Room was clean but very basic, only a bed and wall unit small dressing table and chair, with small bathroom. No where to put anything. If you were staying more than 2 nights it’s not really suitable. When I booked I thought we’d booked a balcony. So we could sit and have a coffee and some breakfast. But no balcony. And looked out onto a wall. Great central location, close to everything.

The rooms are very small ,no elevator is convenient if you staying 2 o 3 nights max. I love the location the customer was on point Salma very helpful answer all my questions, we has the option to sleep we the windows open the last day we put the A/C because of the mosquito, please take a mosquito spray with you or repellent wipes

This hotel is close to the beach, the old city and Main Street (Jean Medecin). It was comfortable and very nice to stay. Our room was small but comfortable and great AC. What made the whole experience so great was the wonderful young woman at the front desk, Salma. She was very welcoming and helpful! Our interaction with the other personnel was short but very nice as well. We recommend this hotel!

Très bien pour passer une nuit au centre de Nice. Un personnel de réception 5 étoiles très bon accueil très dévoué quelque soit l équipe du matin et du soir. Avons eu toutes les directives pour pouvoir accéder à la chambre du à un retard d avion arrivé 1h du matin. Personnel encore présent à cette heure tardive. Merci beaucoup

Un hôtel simple mais avec un accueil serviable et chaleureux que j’ai beaucoup apprécié. On m’a même prêté un tube de crème solaire pour aller à la plage !

Pedro and his female college were the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Their dog, Tommy, was so well behaved and loves to play with his toys. Pedro steered us to Old Nice and the sunset overlook where we had a great time. I very much recommend this hotel.

Nice people running it but bad street more run down area. Rooms are extremely minimal. One sheet for a blanket and very bare bones. It felt more like a hostel than hotel. Very loud at night with garbage trucks running constantly.

My stay here was very good for value. Great location as it’s only 5-10 minute walk to central station, 2 minute walk from tram line and 1 minute walk from a set of lovely little restaurants. Only thing that could have made it 10/10 for me was if I could figure out the air conditioning unit haha.
