This cabin was very clean!! The private beach access was a great surprise. The beach is beautiful!! Our only complaint would be that the electrical outlets need to be updated. They did not hold our plugs in place very well. Made it difficult to charge our devices. Also there were no USB outlets. Overall a great place to stay with a family.

Perfect location in Igonish with a private access to a beautiful beach. Minutes from multiple hikes throughout the highlands national park. I highly recommend middle head.

Really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and well maintained. Short walk to the beach which was nice. Would recommend that housekeeping cleans during your stay. Would be nice to have a shower outside to clean sand off our feet when returning from the beach. Definitely recommend the place and would go back.

Chalets are all natural wood with a "rustic" feel. Log cabin style with modern amenities. Very clean and comfortable. Property has a private access to the beach area across the street. One would not swim there due to the rip current however great to walk along the beach.

Great property. The Chalets were spacious and comfortable. Close to the beach. The only problem is lack of communication. We had a problem with check in and when we phoned no one answered. Voice main only and the message said they would get back to us in a day. The problem was solved but there was unnecessary stress. Overall, I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

My family stayed at the end of May for four nights. When we first walked in, it smelled just like an authentic wood chalet. It also looked exactly like the pictures online. The chalet was spacious, but the floorboards had huge gaps in them, which meant there was lots of dust and dirt stuck within. Luckily, we brought a vacuum and were able to clean it a little bit, but it was still dirty on the inside. The electric fireplace was also nice, but it took a while to figure out how it worked. The property was close to the trails and local restaurants, which was convenient. We also liked being able to go outside with our big dog and walk around in the large grassy areas. The beach was not as good as expected, as it was too rocky for us and a little far from the chalets. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and we would recommend it!

The chalet was not quite what I expected from the online photos. Ours was not quite as new and had a faint odor of urine. I am thinking maybe a dog peed inside at some point and it’s probably hard to get the smell out. I also thought our second bedroom was going to have two twin beds, but it was just a double. My daughters were disappointed because they were looking forward to having their own beds. The beach is wonderful although you do have to cross a busy street to get to the path leading to the beach.

This place was, in a word, okay. Not great, not awful. We stayed in a 1-bedroom cabin. The furnishings were tired and outdated but clean. The location was good - close to the Cabot Trail. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

We had a good time here. The rooms were clean and warm, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the location was very good. It was suitable for our two families of four people to stay. We will choose Ingonish Chalets again.

The cleaning staff were excellent here and very good with communication. The only downfall I would say is that the motel side of things does not have air conditioning so it was very hot and hard to sleep. That being said, the cleaning staff got us an extra fan which did help.

A convenient location near Ingonish and Highland National Park. The chalets allow privacy as well as peace and quiet. They are older with soft mattresses but overall quite acceptable.

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin which had a ton of room. Nice to have two twin beds in one. Lots of room to spread our inside and out. The deck was enormous and had a nice amount of seating. Within 10 minutes of grocery, food and golf. Super quiet location. Check in and out was a breeze.

No air conditioning!!! I thought we were reserved for a chalet. But it was not a stand alone. It appeared the stand alone chalets Did have AC. It was 36 degrees outside and couldn’t get the ‘chalet’ in the motel section temp down below 28 so couldn’t stay very long inside despite open windows and door. Better for Fall travel not in the heat of the summer. Called the number to ask on a different matter between the hours stated and NO ONE returned our call. We felt stranded as they have no reception desk at any time. Scary feeling in a strange land. Bathroom was clean and good size. Across the highway from the excellent walkable beach but NOT TO SWIM??!! There was no one in the water?! A drop off a few feet in and couldn’t see the bottom due to heavy wave action.

Really nice staff and quick to respond even in off season. Cabin is large and clean, high ceilings makes it feel even bigger. There is plenty of cooking supplies and a awesome place to stay.

Shower didn’t work well, was tricky to use and didn’t feel reliable (but we did manage to use it). Virtual desk communication was non-existent. The power went out so it would have been nice to have flashlights or candles in the cabins. But overall, everyone we met was super nice! We enjoyed our stay.

The accommodation in terms of comfort and cleanliness was fair. The communication was below terrible. Despite assurances that we would know the room allocation the previous day this didnot happen. No one to answer the phone just left messages. No check-in service and no information about the booking or access to the room. We arrived early and secure accommodation as per booking or seek alternative accommodation in the area. Another party managed to speak with someone and they brought keys over from another location. This spoilt our plans for the day. In practice the site office is never open!!!!!!

I thought I reserved a chalet with cooking facilities. I was in a motel room with a microwave and no stove. Only sink was in the bathroom. The room did have some very basic coffee and utensils. The communication is only through online emails and leaving phone messages.

Beautiful property. Contactless check-in great. Had some questions which property responded in a timely manner. We came a little too early in the year and have a dog so a lot of things closed.

No air conditioning!!! I thought we were reserved for a chalet. But it was not a stand alone. It appeared the stand alone chalets Did have AC. It was 36 degrees outside and couldn’t get the ‘chalet’ in the motel section temp down below 28 so couldn’t stay very long inside despite open windows and door. Better for Fall travel not in the heat of the summer. Called the number to ask on a different matter between the hours stated and NO ONE returned our call. We felt stranded as they have no reception desk at any time. Scary feeling in a strange land. Bathroom was clean and good size. Across the highway from the excellent walkable beach but NOT TO SWIM??!! There was no one in the water?! A drop off a few feet in and couldn’t see the bottom due to heavy wave action.

This place was, in a word, okay. Not great, not awful. We stayed in a 1-bedroom cabin. The furnishings were tired and outdated but clean. The location was good - close to the Cabot Trail. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

A nice spot to stay when travelling around the Cabot Trail. It is conveniently located and easy to find. The chalet was very comfortable and clean.

We rented 2 chalets and were very happy with both. Each chalet provided a "living area" with TV, couch and chairs-very comfortable for card playing and hanging out with traveling friends. Location was terrific - a secluded, wooded area & only a 5 minute walk to waterfront. Couple of local groceries. Great get-a-way.

Chalets are all natural wood with a "rustic" feel. Log cabin style with modern amenities. Very clean and comfortable. Property has a private access to the beach area across the street. One would not swim there due to the rip current however great to walk along the beach.

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin which had a ton of room. Nice to have two twin beds in one. Lots of room to spread our inside and out. The deck was enormous and had a nice amount of seating. Within 10 minutes of grocery, food and golf. Super quiet location. Check in and out was a breeze.

The chalet was very roomy which included a large deck. A quick walk to the beach across the street and a place to eat close by. Wonderful!

We visited early November. Only a convenience store for groceries(limited) and one food (pizza) and one gas station (limited hours) so make sure you bring snacks and supper items if you want to cook.

My family stayed at the end of May for four nights. When we first walked in, it smelled just like an authentic wood chalet. It also looked exactly like the pictures online. The chalet was spacious, but the floorboards had huge gaps in them, which meant there was lots of dust and dirt stuck within. Luckily, we brought a vacuum and were able to clean it a little bit, but it was still dirty on the inside. The electric fireplace was also nice, but it took a while to figure out how it worked. The property was close to the trails and local restaurants, which was convenient. We also liked being able to go outside with our big dog and walk around in the large grassy areas. The beach was not as good as expected, as it was too rocky for us and a little far from the chalets. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and we would recommend it!

Beautiful property. Contactless check-in great. Had some questions which property responded in a timely manner. We came a little too early in the year and have a dog so a lot of things closed.

We had a fantastic stay. The showers are amazing, beds are comfy, and the staff are so nice and accomodating. This was exactly what I was looking for for a winter get away. The beach walk is stunning, along with all the beauty that is to be found around beautiful Ingonish. There is a great bakery down the road called Happiness is Homemade, the Freshmart down the road has everything you need, and Doucettes Market has an amazing little cafe inside with great food of you dont want to cook. We'll definitely be back again!

We loved our stay. Our cabin was very cozy. It smelled fresh. I was expecting a musky smell but not at all. Very clean. Loved the screen door and the washroom was nice, big, clean. We were well greeted. Super friendly people. We loved the private beach access and the walk to. Loved we could bring our dog. Great little pizza place nearby Andrew’s Pizza. It was delicious. The reason why I score 4 stars, is because we had our son with us, but no blankets were in our cabin for him. We found sheets. We made it work with what we had. It it turned out fine. I would recommend people to bring their pillow. The pillows were not comfortable and the bed could be more comfortable, but it didn’t prevent me from sleeping. We recommend this place as we all loved it.

A confusing check-in was made excellent by the cleaning staff. They went out of their way to facilitate our check-in. They did a beautiful job of cleaning our cabin. I never did get the TV to work during our whole vacation in Nova Scotia. Directions for using the satellite are insufficient. What input channel to the TV is used? HDMI1, 2? Followed the directions given to no avail. Wi-Fi was spotty. Beds very comfortable; towels and blankets were plentiful. We very much enjoyed our stay there. Great hot water in the shower. Excellent Tim Horton dark K cups for the Keurig. 😊 Recommended highly.

It took a few minutes to figure out where the key was for our cabin but the cabin was very nice and clean. I’m not sure if it was worth the price for a couple. We didn’t need two bedrooms. It would be a better value for 3+ people.
