Everything was good..they advertised a continental breakfast , no pans of food were out but they cooked to order promptly instead and food was good. Our room was a little dated and had uncomfortable beds but service was great air worked good all was clean amd looked as if our area just hadnt gotten the updates yet as the resort looked like allmother buildings had just been remodeled. Would definitely stay there again..also kod friendly tennis courts, shuffle board, playground bounce house...pool was under construction but looked like it will be awesome.

I always enjoy staying at the Stonefence. They are upgrading the pool area so that wasn't available to swim in, but the beautiful river was! I hope that opening the restaurant will work out for them (they were doing a "soft opening" during the stay). I loved my lunch out on the patio, reading my book and seeing the river.

Place was nice and comfortable, however the back deck was literally COVERED with nats nests or some kind of bugs lights , siding, sliding door , etc. the desk guy cleaned some of it but was not habitable for going out and sitting . Breakfast was awesome though , bed was comfortable.

Had issues with getting in my room, had to go to separate building to get to our room, hot building and hot room untill turned ac on in room, nice deck off of room facing pool, quiet, kind front desk staff, broken toilet paper holder, not enough towels. Overall okay before going to sleep.

Easy check in and we drove our boat from our slip in Morristown to their docks. Had a slip ready for us, it was nice. Convenient, had dinner at TI Club at 615, and made it back at dusk. Nice day on the River! I would surely stay here again for date night. Awesome breakfast in the am to order, cook and staff were personable and very nice. Great location as well.

Beautiful spot on the St Lawrence River. Excellent docks. Plenty of seating areas to enjoy the river traffic and the outdoors. Room was dated but clean. Nice to have a kitchenette. Breakfast was fresh with many options. Would stay here again if back in the area.

Stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We loved this place everybody was so nice, the breakfast was great. My son loved the beach and kyacks they had out to use for free! Cool playground too! We were a little bummed that the pool was closed bit they say it will open back up with a lazy river! We will be back again!

The stay was great and we were greeted by a wonderful host. When we got to our suite, we noticed the room was nice and spacious and had the great views we had booked for. Our only issues is that the lamps were very dusty and hadn't been cleaned in months probably. The hotel also said we would get breakfast in the dining area, but when we went for breakfast on our last day, there was none. This was unfortunate as we really enjoyed it.

Beautiful views of the St. Lawrence river. The original building is dated, but the rooms are spacious, quaint and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Unlike a lot of hotels these days, there is also actual maid service. I was surprised that someone actually made the bed during my 2 night stay.

Room 301 furniture was filthy. You couldn’t sit in the couch or the chair was so dirty dust in the registers every time the AC come off of dust would fly around kill two spiders in the bathroom way too much for the condition of the room.

Wonderful views staff are very attentive, our room was musty and lots of cobwebs but over all great place. We always stay there when we go north . Breakfast was great big spread.

Rooms are very out of date. Floors were dirty. I wouldn't have known but walked around in white socks and they were black. Bathroom window covered by a lace curtain. No privacy. I use a towel to cover the window. No ice machine. I had to go to the office where they handed you a small amount from a chest freezer.

Booked a room on the river months in advance & at ck in was informed I had townhouse! Not on river and steep stairs. I am handicapped & fell on stairs. Had to sleep on rollout couch for remainder of visit. Decor is very antiquated . One plus the lady running restaurant was a great asset & breakfast was great!

Door to first room did not lock. Porch door to second room did not lock. Sink stop was missing. Internet was very slow and had to be reset several times. No chair for table.had to use edge of bed. Walls are paper thin.

Liked openness and location on the river. Electrical outlets were awkwardly placed for our charger devices. Minor maintenance issues were prevalent. In our search for outlets, we found debris on the floor behind a cabinet. Otherwise our room was acceptably clean. I had to set up the alarm clock that wasn't unpacked and placed in a cabinet. We wonder if we really got our money's worth.

Our room was fairly large with a counter to eat on and two comfortable queen size beds. Loved the back patio which overlooked the river. You can see Canada across it. Very relaxing sitting there in Adirondack chair with my coffee and a book.

What a super staff. Very helpful and friendly take really good care of you. This place is so peaceful and quiet. I stayed an extra day just to rest up. It was great. I stay here again just sitting on the porch watching the boats go by was wonderful.

No housekeeping service in place during stay. We were not told about this upon arrival that we had to take dirty towels to office to exchange. Also no continental bfst during winter. Nothing like I have ever experienced before!!!

After settling in our room, we received a phone call telling us that we were directed to the wrong room. The proper room was in another building. We were also told that there with be a partial refund as the correct room was a lower price. We received no assistance in packing up and moving and were told there would be no refund as the rooms were the same price. Went from a condo to a regular room and they were the same price? Feel gouged and won't be back. Will tell our family and friends not to bother. We also left a day early.

This was our second stay here as the first was great as well. The location is beautiful along the St Lawrence River east of Ogdensburg. The grounds are well kept and offer opportunities to enjoy the scenery of the surrounding area with out actually having to leave them. The included full continental breakfast offers much more than the typical continental with eggs prepared over easy or scrambled, sausage or bacon, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels etc. The coffee is good and is always kept hot and plentiful. We plan on booking here for a week in the near future to explore Northern NY and visit with friends and family more. We indeed love staying here!

Room was nice beds very comfortable Only disappointment I had was the hotel info listed a nice hot breakfast with french toast etc. When we got there we were told it was a cold breakfast due to staffing. It was good though. I would stay again.

This was our second stay here as the first was great as well. The location is beautiful along the St Lawrence River east of Ogdensburg. The grounds are well kept and offer opportunities to enjoy the scenery of the surrounding area with out actually having to leave them. The included full continental breakfast offers much more than the typical continental with eggs prepared over easy or scrambled, sausage or bacon, pancakes, cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels etc. The coffee is good and is always kept hot and plentiful. We plan on booking here for a week in the near future to explore Northern NY and visit with friends and family more. We indeed love staying here!

Pool was advertised but not open, "seasonal", but no mention in the advertisement when season starts. Hot breakfast advertised but not available, again "seasonal". Looks like they are trying to spruce the place up. It is a huge property. The owners are very nice and do their best to accommodate you. I would stay again and would recommend to others. But, ask questions as to when the "season" starts.

Beautiful views of the St. Lawrence river. The original building is dated, but the rooms are spacious, quaint and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is excellent. Unlike a lot of hotels these days, there is also actual maid service. I was surprised that someone actually made the bed during my 2 night stay.

Our booking included breakfast however when we checked in we were advised that no breakfast was available. Bruce, who checked us in agreed to send us to a local restaurant and picked up the bill. eat customer service!!

Easy check in and we drove our boat from our slip in Morristown to their docks. Had a slip ready for us, it was nice. Convenient, had dinner at TI Club at 615, and made it back at dusk. Nice day on the River! I would surely stay here again for date night. Awesome breakfast in the am to order, cook and staff were personable and very nice. Great location as well.

Great place to stay, I stayed there for 4th of July weekend and loved it so much that I booked it again the first weekend in August and coming back again for a 3rd Labor Day weekend, perfect if u want to relax, if u have kids there is a pool playground and small private beach,

We were staying in the lower 300 section, no central air, the guy showed up , check the thermostat and left. Nothing happened, so we open the 1 window that would. Faucets in shower were leaking as you were showering ( ice cold water hitting your legs). No pool at all! Down til 2027.,which was never stated on site.

We stayed in the Manor, which was charming but a little outdated and had a musty smell in the common areas. Fortunately, our room didn't have that odor and was overall very clean. The only housekeeping issue was finding a previous guest's receipt on the floor next to the bed. When we checked in, the toilet was running, but after jiggling the handle it stopped. We just made a point to check it occasionally during our stay to make sure it didn't happen again. Our biggest complaint was a strange banging noise that occurred about every 30 minutes. At first, I thought it was a door slamming, but eventually realized it wasn't. Interestingly, after someone checked into the room above us on our second night, the noise became much less frequent. That made me wonder if it was caused by plumbing, perhaps a running toilet in the room above. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and the bed and pillows were especially comfortable, which isn't always easy to find when traveling.
