It was just a basic room, comfortable enough. No refrigerator, no microwave. Some rooms are with shared bathrooms. Porch is nice but needs a good cleaning. Nice country in the back yard. Moody Innkeeper.

Heidi does a great job overall. Very accommodating on our late check in. Great breakfast. Nice room with private. Outside veranda on 2nd floor is nice to have drinks and snacks.

Very convenient to where I was exploring with a nice porch to relax and unwind.

A very pleasant stay. A quiet room in a charming house with a convenient location. Hot made-to-order breakfasts. Plenty of parking. I had a room with a shared bath directly across the hall, and there was no issue. I enjoyed talking to the other guests over breakfast and won't hesitate to come again.

it was an extremely hot night, and they would not accommodate us with an air conditioner. we are older guests and had difficulty breathing, as the bedroom was upstairs and so hot!!!!!

The property was easy to find, located on a beautiful farm. The wrap-around porch is lovely in the morning. However, the walls between rooms were quite thin (I was woken up by a man snoring next door) and the bed linens smelled of mildew. Other than that, the breakfast was nice and fresh and matched expectations.

Great price in the whole area. You've got what youve paid for.. Comfortable bed, quiet. Must be self-sufficient if you want to enjoy the place. Could be cleaner. More furniture in the room - at least a table. You can use shared bathroom, freezer; homemade eggs in the morning. Nearby Stop &Shop will provide everything else for you. Nice, if you sray with a large family or friends.

Great place to stay. Heidi was personable and ready for us when we arrived. Great room. Window air conditioner but we didn’t need it. Kept the windows open at night. Got take out from State Line pizza and ate it on the 2nd floor wrap around porch. Would definitely stay again.

Nice B&B that was close to an event we had at the Great Falls Brewery in Canaan. Very quiet. The bed was clean but here were some cobwebs under the bed and bedstands. The shower/tub also didn't seem to be very clean. In any case, it was affordable and perfect for a night in the CT mountains.

Our bedroom was very dusty and the bed was creaking a lot! The place could do with a clean. Parking provided and quiet location. Breakfast was sufficient.

Cleanliness barely made average. Water stains in the toilet was a bummer. Breakfast was no more than average.

The inn is very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. Perfect for a nights rest. Breakfast we were offered French toast or eggs, with toast.

This spot is very cozy and we really enjoyed our brief stay here. The owners are very friendly and make a delicious, home style breakfast complete with eggs from their chickens. It’s on a main road but we couldn’t hear the traffic and we slept well. The rooms aren’t over the top in size or luxury, but it was comfortable and the shared bathroom wasn’t an issue at all as it was right across the hall and we never had to wait for other patrons in order to use it. Would return and recommend!

Staying over for work .. room was large, bed was comfortable ..hot water was here or there, as was the water pressure. Wish there was a mini fridge to keep drinks and snacks. Left way before breakfast, so I really couldn't comment. I did read all the reviews and Heidi was very nice and friendly. There is a rooster that doesn't know night from day ..lol

Very old house with lots of clutter. Breakfast was cooked by the owner and good. 1/2 bath for each room and shared full bath with other rooms. I think it was way overpriced.

Easy check in. There was a note on the door directing me to my room and letting me know when breakfast was available. My room was clean and comfortable. The house was quiet and breakfast was great. I enjoyed my stay.

Papa John and Heidi are simply the best!

The host Heidi was friendly and fun to talk with at breakfast (I was travelling alone). She knows a lot about the area and history which was nice to hear. The house was quiet and clean and I'd stay here again.

Business owner had no help and was overwhelmed with too much to do. Multiple issues. First, we were issued the wrong room (?) and later that night when dressed in our night clothes when notified by knock at the door that we had to move. After packing up and ready to move, another knock at door were told to stay there, other customer agreed to take the other room. Days later we found that we were billed for an upgraded room (that we did not request). Second, got very little sleep due to road traffic accelerating uphill. Next morning we asked to be relocated to a more quiet room for the second night. Answer was “NO, there were too many people checking in and out”. Third, we packed up and gave the key to the owner and said we were not willing to go through another sleepless night. We got no billing statement when leaving. We tried to contact the owner but got no response. Initiated a dispute with the cc company but since we had no billing statement it couldn’t be disputed. The Expedia payment details when booking was not acceptable as a checkout statement. So we were excessively charged by $172.05 ($288.60. - $116.55 nightly rate) for an upgraded room that we did not request, and a second night that we did not use because of an unacceptable room. Locust Tree made out pretty well on this booking.

Comfortable room in a charming old farmhouse in the lovely northwest corner of Connecticut, between Canaan and Norfolk. Gracious host, plentiful breakfast, reasonably priced.

The lady was very nice. Breakfast was good. Less than 20 minutes away from limerock raceway and stores close by to pick up supplies. Overall very pleased.

We did not eat breakfast. We had to leave early, 8am. We were told breakfast will be ready between 8 and 9 am

We were disappointed to arrive and find that there was no tea and cookies for the afternoon, a mainstay of B&Bs. Also, in the morning, there was no early riser's coffee or tea to be had. The breakfast was not what most do who boast a full-breakfast. There was coffee and juice, but no hot tea. That and toast was self serve. You were given a choice of french toast, pancakes or eggs. There were no breakfast meats, fresh fruit or yogurt.

Very good value for the price. A little more variety for breakfast would be nice, e.g. granola. Maybe I should have asked for it!
