The gentleman that ran the place was kind and very accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a place to swim with free use of canoes and paddle boats. We were there for a concert but would go back just for that experience.

Rustic decor, nice view of the lake. Very clean! Parking right in front of the unit. Liked having a refrigerator and microwave. We had two frustrations-specifically booked a queen bed, got a full size. The other-the Roku tv was frustrating. Wanted to watch a college football game on the local ABC network station. No local channels were available and didn’t want to pay to stream it.

The room was nice. Showing some age but still clean and well supplied with furniture and small kitchenette. Only bac thing was the parking lot is small. So don't go there with any kind of trailer or anything larger than a pickup truck if you plan to park near your room.

Great room, such a great little cabin. The staff are amazing and we absolutely love staying here! Comfy bed, toasty fireplace, nice kitchenette! Cannot wait to come in the summer to enjoy the deck and lake and kayaking.

Had a great stay here with my boyfriend . The place was easy to find and has a lot of great dining options in walking distance. The room was clean and fresh and the property was so nice. We especially loved the paddle boats and kayaks for guest use. The back deck is also lovely to sit on and relax. Even saw a bunch of wildlife while there. Definitely will come stay again. Excellent location near pine knob concert venue.

Great little room complete with very nice little kitchenette, stocked with essential pots and pans. The bed was comfortable, nice pillows and clean. We had a non waterfront room but did walk down to the waterfront deck and its beautiful. Very cute cabin decore, very tastefully done. This is not the Hilton, and didn't expect it to be. Very happy with our stay.

We were surprised that the room was as small as it was but we did have a tiny kitchen with a two burner stove, small sink and refrigerator/freezer. For one nite it was fine but I wouldn't want to stay in this small a room for multiple nites. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was furnished with a bed, single nightstand with lamp and a dresser. We did use the folding chair outside the room to put some of our things on which was a big help. The back deck is nice but the view is of other houses and docks mostly. It might have been a nicer stay if we had chosen one of the more expensive rooms on the lake that may be bigger.

To be fair to this facility, I’m a Hilton/Marriott snob. Those options don’t exist here. It’s a cute place, but my room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I photographed evidence of a past bedbug problem. They use all white sheets and there was bedbug poop stains in a small area of the otherwise very clean sheets. I was here for two nights and woke up each morning with bad sinus issues. It could have been caused the air conditioner unit’s poor air quality. I realize you get what you pay for. If you aren’t accustomed to high class accommodations, this place would be great, but it’s just not something I’m used to. If I return to this area, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if Hilton or Marriott haven’t yet built a place.

A bit behind the times, but that's part of the charm. The property is kept clean and safe. A few nicks and scrapes could use some TLC. Was there on a Monday and most of the neighborhood was closed by 10pm, or didn't open until 9am. A blackout curtain would have been nice as the blinds didn't close all the way. Gorgeous patio in the back along the pond with ducks, geese, turtles and fish. Good rustic getaway from the city.

The property was close to venue which was great! The room smelled of cigarettes which was quite unpleasant. The sheets and towels smelled of fabric softener which is not good for people who are sensitive to smells. The back porch, which faces the lake, and all of the water amenities was a real gem! We used the paddle boat in the morning and it was lovely! The room could use some sprucing up and the bathroom mold could be scoured a bit more. Would recommend due to the lake front!

This is much like a rustic upper Peninsula cottage. It could use some TLC, but it was very clean. You have to get a room on the water to get the best out of this place. Walk out your door onto a beautifully rustic patio overlooking the river with clear water, lots of fish along with turtles. I love that you can kayak or paddle boat, fish, or even swim here. It has a great up north feeling.

Second time we have stayed here for a show at Pine Knob. Everyone was friendly, the place was very clean and taking the kayaks out on the lake was a bonus. Will stay here again!

Miniblinds didn't get the room dark enough and not very private. Tried to charge me again when I had already paid on line. Water smelled like sulphur, surprised it wasn't city water. Otherwise adequate.

Cute place. Quaint. Friendly staff. However, one of the two double beds was so squeaky and uncomfortable, we had to share the other - which was a better mattress but worn in, so we fell in toward the middle together. No real blanket to speak of. The biggest disappointment was that we discovered in the morning that our shower didn't work - and no one was in the office until 9am, well after we had to be on our way. We chose to stay in order to be close to a venue and to be able to shower/change - the showering didn't happen. A later conversation with management was nice - he was supportive and promises to give a partial refund - but that didn't change what happened, and the refund hasn't happened yet.

We really liked that our room was literally off the water. Perfect for us to take our kayaks out on. We celebrated our one year anniversary and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The man who checked us in was very nice and welcoming, gave us fresh towels when we needed them. The place was very quiet and relaxing. The other guests were pleasant and one guest who I believe lives there let my my husband use his fishing pole to reel in a big carp. Very wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back!

A lot of the rooms have a fridge and a stove so you can bring your own food or make some thing. The rooms are decorated very cute. They look almost like you’re in a lodge or a log cabin. The theme is definitely inviting.

Great room, such a great little cabin. The staff are amazing and we absolutely love staying here! Comfy bed, toasty fireplace, nice kitchenette! Cannot wait to come in the summer to enjoy the deck and lake and kayaking.

Second time we have stayed here for a show at Pine Knob. Everyone was friendly, the place was very clean and taking the kayaks out on the lake was a bonus. Will stay here again!

Had a great stay here with my boyfriend . The place was easy to find and has a lot of great dining options in walking distance. The room was clean and fresh and the property was so nice. We especially loved the paddle boats and kayaks for guest use. The back deck is also lovely to sit on and relax. Even saw a bunch of wildlife while there. Definitely will come stay again. Excellent location near pine knob concert venue.

This place was amazing. It was a beautiful setting with ducks turtles and fish to just relax with. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the covered porch. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The owner was very nice very helpful and we will definitely be staying there again! The Location was great too. So close to everything but felt very rustic and relaxing

This property is a hoot. It's like stepping into a 50s movie. The rooms have rustic furnishings. I do suggest staying in a lake view room. They have doors leading to a shared deck that extends over the lake. Bring bread or something to feed the multitude of ducks, turtles, and very large fish that swim up to you. You can sit on the and enjoy a glass of wine, or cold beverage. We picked up a pizza and sat outside watching the wildlife. Art, who manages the property is very personable and has great recommendations on local restaurants. It is also only a short drive to Pine Knob ampitheater if you wat a place to stay for a concert, as we did.

Perfect spot if you are in town for a pine knob concert! Room was clean and smelled great as soon as we walked in. No one was loud like they are when you go to a regular hotel. Will deff come back for another concert in the future !
