Baymont by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport

after checking in, we noticed a few "sketchy people" around the hotel. but we were tired and its near the airport, so be it.. the next day after resting we found roaches in the room and there was one crawling across the bed...Gross!! we gave hotels.com the pics. so we checked out and complained to the hotel staff and they said they would tell management. we picked this hotel for the location and for having a swimming pool which was not in working order. They should have informed the booking company that the pool was in dis-repair and not usable, but didn't. Now they refuse to credit my account or reimburse for the days not used, we booked 5 days and paid for them upfront.. Hotels .com people did a great job trying to rectify this problem but did not succeed. We booked another hotel a few miles away and are satisfied . Baymont/wyndham has disappointed me for the first time

Check-in was slow, Room keys never worked once I left for the day and came back at night, breakfast was good if you were there before 8 o’clock to get something. No milk for the cereal and choice of biscuit or bread that you could toast, but there was no peanut butter or jelly. Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Pool was not opened when I was there in February.

The best sleep ever. Bed very comfortable. Pool not opened and guest said it never is, but they keep it clean for some reason. They should really put that in their description as guest are not happy to see that once checked in. Just mentioning it. Outside of hotel was trashy but it really wasn't a factor. I felt safe and bed was great and shower was good as well. For the convenience and price I would recommend, as it is not far from cruise port.

Pool not open for 3 months due to no inspection

Employees with the exception of Terrance were very rude breakfast attendant very rude. Pool was closed reason we stayed there floors were filthy had to wear shoes the wrong time in room did not feel safe would not recommend or stay there again.

Parking was easy

It was advertised as having a beautiful pool. It was not operational on a Holiday weekend, and there were no rooms available. So it was old out. So many people complained and the staff seemed unfazed. What Happened (Brief Summary) 1. Check-in Chaos: Waited 45 minutes, watched every guest have issues, and current guests walk in with complaints. 2. First Suite Conditions – Unacceptable: Hotter inside than outside, only one unit working. All three beds unmade, no sheets, comforters piled in a corner. No trash bags, trash cans, or towels. 3. Second Suite – No Basic Hospitality: After waiting another 30 minutes with four children, we were reassigned. Requested larger towels to shower, was told “You have to use what was provided at check-in.” The next morning, I was told towels would be brought ASAP. They never came. 4. Outrageous Staff Comment at Checkout: When I reminded staff we never received towels, the employee said, verbatim: “Well, we had more important things going on than your towels.” My four children and the front desk staff heard this, and no one apologized or corrected him. --- Why I’m Reaching Out I’ve stayed at Wyndham properties many times, and this level of service would never be tolerated elsewhere. From filthy, unprepared rooms to rude staff dismissing basic guest needs, this stay was unacceptable and damaging to the Wyndham brand. I have already posted honest reviews, but I want to give Wyndham Corporate the chance to make this right. I

I booked because I trust the Wyndham name. This hotel was more of a motel. Fresh paint and linens, however room didnt look clean. I kileed two roaches in the bathroom. Service at from desk was slow and lobby floor was dirty.

First room was dirty and stunk pretty bad door didn’t close. We were given another room and that room didn’t have pillowcases towels soap and also stunk. And we turned to look, and there were bugs crawling

Terrible experience! Room was gross/dirty. Stained sheets. Stained countertop. What appeared to be dried "spit balls" all over the walls. Large gaps between the door and door jams: felt unsafe, allowed noise and cigarette smoke into the room. Felt too gross to take a shower or even attempt to eat the provided breakfast. Took concerns to front desk and was offered no remedy. Said they'd send new sheets but they never arrived! Worst hotel experience I've ever had!

The service Antonio gave us at the front desk was impeccable. He was super helpful, polite and got us into our room fast. The room however was the dirtiest room we have ever stayed in. The floors looked like they had never been moped ever. The sheets had stains on them like they were not previously washed. The property itself felt sketchy. When we got there the police were there. Overall would not recommend to stay at this hotel especially if you have children.

Cockroaches, bugs in the room. Bathroom dirty would not stay at this hotel again!

We stayed in a suite that had 3 beds. Every bed was dirty. There was what seemed to look like dog hair in them and the sheets where very dirty and gritty. We had to sleep on top of the comforters. The floors were dirty and sticky. After showering and walking to the bed, our feet were so dirty we had to clean them with a wet towel. It was horrible. When I talked to the front desk about it, all they could say was, "I'm sorry."

Room was very dirty. Smelled of cigarettes. Urine on the toilet, water marks on the shower door and mirror, no towels, bedding dirty, bugs came out of the shower drain when i turned it on. I am a housekeeper and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was not comfortable the bed had bed bugs ever since my stay my skin been crawling ever since and I don’t like it…

For having a party of five, I really liked having the double room with two bathrooms and two TVs. What I didn't care for was that there were no washcloths provided, however body wash was. Kinda hard to use bodywash without a washcloth. And the floors were extremally dirty. My two small children would run around the rooms with no shoes and their feet were black! Then try to keep them from climbing on the white bed. Not good.

We were able to check in quite late. We got a suite which was a great size and had 2 bathrooms which was great. Lots of parking but definitely a motel experience.

Room was spacious, but had limited area to place clothes. Lived out of the suitcase. Room layout could be improved, move shelf assembly further down wall and relocate tv to middle of room wall. Consider adding some towel racks and a full length mirror. Should include a chair with small end table. Entrance door had large open gap on one side ( looks like original installation issue). Staff were very nice and buffet breakfast was good. Nice short stay hotel.

Renovated rooms are nice, neat and clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was great, staff friendly. This is an old facility which is being updated. Rooms are better but exterior has a long way to go.

had reservation for 2 ppl we only had towel for 1 person ?? and the shower curtain I HATE it ! it has half glass that you cant move it , water is all over you had to clean up! TV wasn't working and was supposed to have some one to check it out or make it works nothing works so they moved us to another room. We checked first before we hauled our stuffs. No sign for do not disturb, we told at front desk that we don't want any disturb during our vacation. She did put it down for housekeeping when we need clean towels we will get it from front desk. Sorry I cant trust with housekeepers at all. Serves Breakfast same food every day finally on my last day different food. and wasn't not checking food to see if needs more. We have been wait,wait, and wait. Not impressed.

This was just a stop for sleep on a longer journey. The floors on the second level are super uneven - like incredibly so... that being said, beds were comfortable, rooms were pretty clean and check in was smooth. We didnt try the breakfast or the pool so I cant speak on those. The area around it isnt much to look at but it was fine for a place to rest and go.

Overall pretty good. Need more l8fhting in room. Definately good price for service. Doors need weather steiooung to avoid bugs getting in.

Booked the room since it was close to the airport. Hotel is quite dated. But the property is doing updates. The room was very clean. The bathroom not so much. There was hair stuck to the shower walls and to the shower/ bath gel pumps that the hotel provides. The hotel room doors to the room. Do not make a solid seal. The first room I was in, the seal was so large in the door I could see out side but the manager was nice enough to move me to another room despite the seal in the door not closing there either. But it wasn't as large as the last room. Not a five star hotel, but comfortable and worth the price. I cannot comment on the breakfast because I didn't eat there.

My recent stay at Baymont by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I checked in around 10 PM on October 9, 2025, and checked out less than two hours later because the conditions were completely unacceptable and unsafe. The room was filthy — dirty sheets and bedding, blood stains on the walls, unswept floors, a ceiling beginning to cave in, bugs present, and a broken stairway landing that nearly caused a family member to fall. The shower doors were filthy, and the in-room phones didn’t work — once plugged in, they had no dial tone, making it impossible to contact the front desk. When I went in person to report the issues and was told the manager wouldn’t be in until the next day and multiple guests were also in the lobby complaining about the same problems and leaving early. I have photos documenting everything. Despite clear evidence and multiple witnesses, management has refused to take full responsibility or issue a full refund, claiming their “inspection” found nothing wrong — a completely inaccurate statement. This property is a serious health and safety concern. The conditions were uninhabitable, and the lack of accountability is appalling. I’ve filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Wyndham Corporate, and the Health Department. I strongly warn others not to stay here. Until Wyndham/Developer Inn enforces basic standards of cleanliness and guest safety, I would avoid this location at all costs.

Overall condition was just fair. Cleanliness: exterior good, room poor First front desk employee encountered was rude but every other employee was very pleasant.

I checked in around 7 PM and didn’t get my room until after 8 due to a long line and only one receptionist working. I want to say upfront—she was doing her best and offered excellent service given the situation, but she clearly needed help. After going out to eat with my wife, we returned around 9 PM and found that the bed had a visible stain and hair in it, which was very disappointing. It gave the impression the linens hadn’t been changed. While the rest of the room was okay, the overall cleanliness and upkeep felt mediocre. Another issue was the $100 deposit. I understand hotels require deposits, but based on the condition of the room, a $50 deposit would feel more appropriate. I haven’t received the refund yet, so I can’t speak on how quickly they return it. This stay did not meet expectations. The location was average, and the property felt understaffed and not properly maintained. I wouldn’t return unless major improvements are made.

We reserved two rooms and one of the room was not ready when we arrived and we had to wait for the other room and they still didn’t have it ready and they gave us two rooms to compensate.

I landed around 1030pm and was waiting for an Uber to get to this hotel when I received a call from them saying that they no longer had a room for me, even though I had booked and paid for it weeks prior. They did not offer any assistance to find new accommodations for the night nor did they provide an explanation. It has also been a week and I have yet to see the refund they promised. Overall, this ordeal lead to a very stressful hour while I tried to find a new place to stay and if it wasn’t for the best Uber driver ever, I don’t know what I would have done. Horrible way to start my vacation and very unprofessional of the hotel to handle it the way they did.

We arrived after booking through Expedia and they had no rooms. Property would not give a refund even though they had not given us a room! Terrible terrible service

The room and hotel was great. Check in was so long! They need to hire another check in person. The poor girl at the front desk had 15 people in line and no help.

Enjoyed my one night stay. The hotel took $100. Deposit plus $63.13. They said this was normal until they received the payment from the 3rd party. Still waiting for the cancellation of the monies! It’s been 5 days! What’s going on? Please look into this. Thanks

Was dirty outside rooms Room smelled to “pot” As far as breakfast is concerned custodial staff should not be taking breakfast foods until kitchen closes Ran out of food very quickly and slow to replenish Did appreciate staff give me cup of ice and she actually put it in my container was much appreciated Not pleased about a $100.00 deposit that will be held for 3-5 days ???!!!!

It took an hour for me to check in at 12:30am because there was only one staff available for 10 + guests checking in. Did not get my room key until close to 1:30am

Out side parking area very dark. Some seedy characters roaming around the area. Okay for a quick overnight stay. Front desk personnel were fine and helpful.

Although we were given a room on the second floor and had difficulty moving our heavy luggage due to the lack of an elevator, the location is very convenient for those traveling by car to the airport, and the facilities and services were reasonable and acceptable for the price.

The area of the motel we stayed was a little rough - backing up to low income apartments on our side, with only a chain link fence between. Clientele around us was also rough, and we felt unsafe parking the car in the lot, and ended up moving it to the front lot. No incidents. On the positive side, while the accommodations were basic, they were nice for a big family and very reasonable for getting three beds and a whole family in one room. Also - the guy at the front desk was awesome - housekeeping forgot to put our pack in play in the room (which would have been a count against them), but he worked hard to hunt one down for us and bring it to our room. Made a big positive difference in our stay. 5 stars for him.

Check in was pleasant, room reeked of marijauana and was approached by a man who said "nice car, probably won't be here in the morning". Garbage area overflowing. Dark parking area. Very unsafe feeling

This was a place to stay the night after having a flight cancelled last minute. Other than that it reminded me of being in an apartment complex

Kind of a sketchy place! The employees were great and front desk area was nice but our Uber driver called it the meth motel when she dropped us off so that wasn’t a great start. There was no toilet paper and the whole room gave me the ick. The door especially did not seem secure or safely reinforced. Glad we only spent a short 9 hours in the room before an early flight which is why we opted for a cheap place. You get what you pay for!

A good place to sleep close to the airport. Friendly staff. The grounds were nothing to write home about but seems safe.

Access to the airport is very convenient if you're traveling by car, and the facilities and services were reasonable and acceptable given the price.

I didn’t like the breakfast. The surrounding wasn’t secure. People talking loud outside late night.

Very friendly/efficient front desk staff. Room was fine. Reviews for the breakfast were glowing but when I checked it out, the options were extremely limited unless you wanted carbs. My go to at these types of hotels are normally a banana or a yogurt. Not an option here. Also regular coffee was empty. And somebody else mentioned it had been empty for at least 15 minutes.

Breakfast was non-existent at 7:45.When it starts at 7 o'clock, checking in staff was excellent and friendly. No comforter on one bed in a double bedroom

The hotel has been recently renovated and looks great, with fully updated bathrooms and furniture. We were pleasantly surprised to find two rooms, a king-size bed, and two bathrooms. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was disappointing – the floors and bathrooms were not properly cleaned, and we even found a damp towel left from previous guests. Breakfast was included and quite tasty. We especially enjoyed the cheese omelet.

The picture that you have on display for breakfast is definitely NOT what I got. They didn’t start breakfast noon and didn’t have NONE OF THE FOOD in the picture. And the cook lady was RUDE

Recently updated best free breakfast I've had in a hotel in a long time

Room was clean. Staff was friendly and the check-in process was fast and easy. My only concern is about the breakfast. Last year, it was perfect. This year, nothing but grape gelly to put on toast, no orange juice, no cereal. I was expecting more.

we stayed last year about the same dates and we noticed some changes. The room had a nice comphy chair and the breakfast attendant was right on the job. this year, the chair was not in the room and the breakfast attendant didn't seem to care as the hot food and the associated food stuffs were always out or not available. example being no milk, cream chease cereal,bagles and toast. Had to wait for refills on most every item throughout the morning. Felt like the attndant was not interested in doing the job.

One night stay, arrived late and left early. The non-smoking room was defenitely not, it actually smelled pretty bad. Breakfast was terrible. started a 7am but by 8am most of the food was gone and they do not refill anything. There was only decaf coffee. I would not recomend this hotel.

The check in was very easy. The staff is professional,courteous, and helpful. The rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable. The location is convenient to the interstate,airport,restaurants, and shopping. The breakfast is very fulfilling
