Lovely! Clean as a whistle, and owner/cook Agnes couldn't have been more warm and welcoming, in addition to being an excellent cook! She made us a delicious breakfast, and chatted with us for awhile. Can't wait to go back in warmer weather to take advantage of the lovely porch with ocean views. Thanks again, Agnes

John, the owner can’t do enough for you. Coffee and bottled water is always available. Ice, cups and glasses for wine are clean and plenty. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast is always hot and fresh. You can see the ocean from the dining room.

This is a charming and lovely B&B in an older but updated building in Ventnor, NJ less than 1 block from the boardwalk. The people who run the place are friendly and accomodating and the breakfast was quite good. A few words of caution: there are stairs to get in and to climb to higher floors. The bathrooms have been updated but are small and my room was not large but others are larger. On the plus side, there are several good places to eat and a Wawa, all within 2 blocks. Finally, the parking lot is a block away.

I like that it came with free parking and breakfast at the close-by cafe. I didn\'t, though, see beach towels that were supposed to be provided. I never saw any staff. Everything was done by text. We got there and the door was locked with nobody manning the registration. The "code" to get into the building was upstairs in our room. It would have been nice to have the access code on the paperwork we were sent so we didn\'t have to wait for a guest to come to the door and say, "I\'m not sure I\'m supposed to let you in."

Our stay at Carisbrooke was wonderful. John, the owner, even watched out for our car, as we unloaded. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom spacious, and the whole place was immaculate. The free breakfasts at the corner were delicious, especially the waffle!

I have been coming to this bed-and-breakfast for 20 years now and I can’t say enough good things about it. The location is amazing. Everything is right around the corner. Lots of restaurants, drug stores, food stores, etc.. The beach and boardwalk are right there as soon as you walk out the front door, for a nice morning walk and a day at the beach. 😊 The place is always clean. The staff always makes us feel like we are in our own homes, always meeting all our needs. The little cafe for a free breakfast has incredible food, and a lunch and dinner if you want something close. I can’t say enough good things about John, who always gets back to me as soon as possible with any needs that we have. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

My wife and I were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and we wanted to pick somewhere new that wasn’t a large hotel chain. We decided to go with this location and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and bright with windows surrounding. The location was excellent and the area was safe. The free breakfast was amazing. Although we only stayed for a night my wife and I both agreed that we will be staying here again. Very highly recommended

Stayed in basis room with queen. Very small room and bathroom near bed which is a little too close for me. If I stayed here again I would pay for an upgrade. Breakfast was outside 2min walk. Very good and full breakfast.

The beach and boardwalk are right there as soon as you walk out the front door, for a nice morning walk and a day at the beach. 😊 The place is always clean. The staff always makes us feel like we are in our own homes, always meeting all our needs. The little cafe for a free breakfast has incredible food, and a lunch and dinner if you want something close. I can’t say enough good things about John, who always gets back to me as soon as possible with any needs that we have. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Lots of restaurants, drug stores, food stores, etc.. This is a charming and lovely B&B in an older but updated building in Ventnor, NJ less than 1 block from the boardwalk. The people who run the place are friendly and accomodating and the breakfast was quite good. A few words of caution: there are stairs to get in and to climb to higher floors. The bathrooms have been updated but are small and my room was not large but others are larger. On the plus side, there are several good places to eat and a Wawa, all within 2 blocks. Finally, the parking lot is a block away.

My wife and I were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and we wanted to pick somewhere new that wasn’t a large hotel chain. We decided to go with this location and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and bright with windows surrounding. The location was excellent and the area was safe. The free breakfast was amazing. Although we only stayed for a night my wife and I both agreed that we will be staying here again. Very highly recommended

John, the owner can’t do enough for you. Coffee and bottled water is always available. Ice, cups and glasses for wine are clean and plenty. Nice restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast is always hot and fresh. You can see the ocean from the dining room.

Our stay at Carisbrooke was wonderful. John, the owner, even watched out for our car, as we unloaded. The bed was very comfortable, the room and bathroom spacious, and the whole place was immaculate. The free breakfasts at the corner were delicious, especially the waffle!

Building is old, dates back to early 1900’s. Did some work to bring it up do date, but it is basically an old shore guest house. Minimum staff at the building. Building is totally air conditioned and it works great. Owners own restaurant next door and hotel includes free breakfast which was excellent. Also, during the day, you can go to restaurant and get free ice cream or water ice. Really nice. There is a self parking lot around the corner and you can take the car in and out. We enjoyed our stay; we were there with friends. There is also a second floor balcony that was really nice to sit on and socialize. Beds were comfortable. There is also a refrigerator guest can use. And they give you nice beach towels to use. Just wish it was fixed up a little more.

This is a very old yet well maintained Inn. The (invisible) staff provided the room key as well as very helpful information on how to see the tv (Roku), the breakfast (at the cafe nearby), and the free parking pass.

The room was clean did not have much interaction with the staff, but that wasn’t necessary Breakfast was great, and the parking was convenient. Instructions for checking in and check out were clear and easily understood

May 1, 2026 we went to see a concert at the Boardwalk. Traffic was horrible. SO... I wrote to let the Inn know we would check in after the concert. They were most accommodating. The cookies were a wonderful touch, and the house was very comfortable. I did lose my Apple Watch somewhere during the stay. Perhaps someone found it? g.parks@me.com
