Best Western Plus Lafayette Hotel University Area

The front desk was very accommodating and kind. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hotel is older although the furniture has been updated and appears the room has been as well. My bathroom was not clean with mold in the grout, hair and used soap left behind. There are no locks on the windows so if you’re on the first floor be aware. The hotel is tucked back next to the interstate and feels isolating if you’re traveling alone.

Sheets had stains on them; room smelled like smoke and mildew; loud doors slamming all night. When I checked out, I informed the front desk of all of this and was not offered any assistance.

Truly top notch -- way better than we expected. Classy, updated, excellent comfort, meticulously clean. Will look for this hotel line again in future.

Our bathroom was not that clean. There were hairs in the shower when we got there and dirt on the bathroom floor. The shower floor was very slippery and not mat to put down. Also to turn on the shower you had to reach down and be sprayed by the cold water just to turn it on. There was only one tiny, and I mean tiny shelf to put stuff on in the shower. You could not put any of your own toiletries in there. Also the shower pressure was not even enough to get the soap out of your hair/body. Lastly there was some form of air leak through the window/ac. It was cold, windy and raining and the cold blew right into the room.

I had no hot water and it was very inconvenient being that I had to wait 20 min to shower while they figured out if the hot water was being reset. After a long day then having to
