Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful. No elevator so mobility might be an issue for some.

I was very happy with hotel everything was was good very convenient to everything. Would have been nice if they would have coffee in the room there was no amenities !!

Better than expected didn’t have great reviews but they were completely mixed up said some things like no parking. Not true plenty of parking

NO ELEVATOR & NO 1ST FLOOR ROOMS. COULDN'T STAY. HAD TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE.

Walked in our room, light switch didn’t work. Had to open the door to the hallway for light as my husband tried to find a lamp to turn on. TV wouldn’t turn on. I went to the front desk for new batteries, remote still didn’t work. Gal at the front desk came to the room to try to figure out why TV wasn’t working, found a workaround for us for the night. She was great, but whoever should have been at the front desk for checkout, was MIA. Guy ahead of us said he rang the bell, but had been waiting for a while. We waited a few minutes but needed to get on the road, so dropped our room keys on the desk and left. Floor in room was very slippery, so put on socks thinking that would be safer. Brand new socks. Pictures of the bottoms of my new socks attached. Very uncomfortable bed. No coffee. Couldn’t plug my hairdryer in (thank goodness I brought mine, because they didn’t even have that) the plug-ins were so loose, my cords kept falling out of the outlet. I had to go out to the room and plug into a lamp to get ready. Terrible workmanship on whatever remodel they attempted to do. ‘Security’ door at the back of the hotel wouldn’t shut…it closed so far and then stuck in an open position. Even if it did shut, it wouldn’t lock as it appeared to be taped so you could just come and go without a room key. PaId close to $160 for this room…should have been half that for what was offered and the condition of this place. 😡

The room was well set up and clean. It was also very quiet on the property. No coffee maker or hair dryer, but that was not super important for this stay. Breakfast coffee was not good, juice was fine. Nothing else was offered, also fine. I was not expecting much along those lines. I wanted an inexpensive room to share with my friend for one night and perfectly suited our needs. I will stay here again.

It wasn’t the best room. Smelt funny walking in, floors needed vacuuming.. but the staff was nice

Lighting in the room did not work. The heater was noisy! Left off due to noise. The room smelled like an old Smokey bar. Room non smoking but if you smoked in it you would not notice!

Sheets appeared to be stained and hole in bed spread. Not real clean appearance. Lack of breakfast. Mounding coming off. Overall appeared to be for workers that stay in area for awhile.

This is an old hotel and inn. It needs a huge upgrade. The air conditioner unit was super noisy. It's a cheap place and really needs an upgrade. Staff was untidy. We would not stay there again

Good location and comfortable bed! Found a cigarette butt beside the bed and the room smelled like an ashtray.

Disappointed that we had no hot water for a 6 am shower.

Spent the night while passing through. It was just okay. Beds/room clean. Pillows were terrible. Tiny bathroom with extremely low vanity. No issues but it was overpriced for what it was.

They were very helpful finding us a different room when our tv didn't work.

Check in was good. Upon entering room first noticed holes in wall and burns on bed spread . Later noticed stains on sheet and towels followed by broken shower valve. Next day staff member accused us of not paying the additional fee for our dog. When I told her we paid she followed up with I’ll check , I’ll check. I showed her the receipt and told her to check before accusing us of not paying. We brought her and her helper in the room and shower them the problems with the room. Oh, and it looked like the cleaning procedure for the bathroom was to sweep everything behind the door and call it good enough. The place is substandard at best and I give it two stars because the cable tv worked.

Horrible treatment

One night stay all good. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I had a problem initially with the TV remote not working but the young man at the front desk worked quickly to resolve it. I appreciated his good customer service.

Very convenient and quiet

The Asteria Inn is and unique property, the commercial site is also part Shelter for transitional adults. This adds a very home type of feeling. The residents I meet were polite, engaging and considerate. The staff was on point with additional information on local restaurants and transportation. The price point for this facility in a convenient location to downtown Stillwater,MN and the river walk ways made it reasonable to accommodate 2 adults for half the cost of any commercial competition. I would definitely go back.

Very quiet hotel!! There is no continental breakfast like they claim however staff is very nice.

Stairs dirty, blankets were old and worn, floor was sticky. Worst of all was that they advertised that they had a free breakfast and they DID NOT!!!
