The Sanctuary is one of country’s premier locations. Beautiful hotel with huge lobbies and hallways tastefully decorated. An ocean view from almost any place on the property. Spacious rooms well appointed. Best of all 5 terrific golf courses .

The Sanctuary was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. It was very nice and elegant yet was not stuffy at all. We were all very comfortable on the property. The amenities were good. Lots of kids activities. The beach is quiet and clean. Service was impeccable. It will cost you though! Everything is very pricey

The Sanctuary is a beautiful resort! The hotel rooms were spacious, comfortable and immaculate! The lobby bar was inviting with good service and the pianist was absolutely fantastic!! Unfortunately, the weather was terrible but we were able to find many things to keep us busy! We look forward to returning again when we can enjoy more of the outdoor activities!!

It was great but they shut the pool down the first day due to rain and never opened it back up even when it stopped. the golf courses were open so it wasn't a safety issue. we were extremely disappointed over that. ruined our first day.

Treated like royalty! Met Chris first, so he is my favorite! The gentleman that cleaned my room folded my toothpaste...IMPRESSIVE. Room was spotless. Didn't expect an ocean view...LOVED IT. Everyone greated me. Felt very welcomed. Everyone gave 5-star service. Nothing to change.

Wonderful getaway for the 2 of us. Called to see if early check-in was possible and we got upgraded to a partial ocean view! Room service was an extra treat for us, but plenty of places to eat at the Sanctuary and off-site.

It\'s a Monday in the middle of February. What could go wrong? Everything. Look the indidivual staff people are nice. But the concierge "desk\' never answers the phone. They never made our dinner reservation. But worst of all, the "Ocean" view is in this dingy corner and you\'d need the neck of a giraffe to see the water. They say they have no room to move me--even though I could roll a bowling ball down this place, it\'s so empty. Bottom line; they just don\'t want to make people happy.

Lots of kids activities. The beach is quiet and clean. Service was impeccable. It will cost you though! Everything is very pricey

The valet staff was delightful and very welcoming ! The staff in Jasmin’s porch restaurant was terrible ! They were not attentive ! The ocean room was excellent ! I love the place ! Golfing was great too

It was amazing. The service is beyond excellence. My ocean view room was one of the best I’ve stayed in. They also had turn down service. So luxurious!

Treated like royalty! Met Chris first, so he is my favorite! The gentleman that cleaned my room folded my toothpaste...IMPRESSIVE. Room was spotless. Didn't expect an ocean view...LOVED IT. Everyone greated me. Felt very welcomed. Everyone gave 5-star service. Nothing to change.

Beautiful property and the staff are exceptional. One note for anyone traveling without a vehicle to the property, you need to pre-arrange transportation for your departure. We didn't realize this and almost missed our flight out of Charleston.

The Sanctuary is one of country’s premier locations. Beautiful hotel with huge lobbies and hallways tastefully decorated. An ocean view from almost any place on the property. Spacious rooms well appointed. Best of all 5 terrific golf courses .

The Sanctuary is a first class hotel. The location, (right on the beach), is beautiful. Service is outstanding and rooms are immaculate. The Sanctuary always provide a great experience and it is the only place we will stay when visiting Kiawah.

I will say that if you have not had the opportunity to stay at the Sanctuary put it on your list! It is beautiful hotel, location and great service! Hotel is right on the Atlantic Ocean and it is a 3 minute walk from the hotel and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. I could go on and on, just make it a place to go even if it is just for a couple of days, stunning!

Elegant setting, plenty of seating in the lobby area for reading and relaxing, spacious room with a great tub for soaking, quick access to the beach for long walks, delicious dining steps from our room. We will be back!

Everything was fine but the Ocean Room served us a grossly overpriced bottle of wine, liquid potato purée that had been described by the waitress as mashed, and insultingly tiny ice cream dessert portions. The Porch had a better and more realistic wine list.

Wonderful getaway for the 2 of us. Called to see if early check-in was possible and we got upgraded to a partial ocean view! Room service was an extra treat for us, but plenty of places to eat at the Sanctuary and off-site.

Ssrvice was excellent- friendly and attentive. The grounds were beautiful and the lobby is one of the prettiest I've seen. All the retaurants we tried were very good.

The food and service was excellent. The facility was beautiful as was the beach. The pools were ok. Drinks were 20 dollars each. Plan to spend some money.

Been all over the world and I expect much better for the price. Trash in common areas not cleaned up for over 48 hours. Room was not serviced because there were too many check outs that day. Had to hunt down someone to tell us that. Restaurants were good (not great) but I’d say about as over priced as we have ever experienced. Breakfast for 2 people was over $100 (no alcohol) We were told there were not refrigerators in the rooms but there were. We drove so could have brought food items. Beach was private and great. Staff very nice. Definitely would not go back.

Hotel peaked years ago. Staff is very arrogant - had reserved a king bed months and months ago and they didnt have any . Constant weddings and such loud music from the weddings late into the night. Food overpriced. Not worth the high price tag . Do airbnb or Verbo. This is a pass

This resort is exquisite. It is located directly on the beach but also seems like it is in a jungle or Forest. The property is extremely well maintained and the staff was exceptional. We were given a room that we weren't exactly pleased with and they were able to accommodate our needs and provide us with a different room. We loved being able to walk around the property with our small child. I would come back anytime.
