Great location, close to everything. Nice pool and gym.

PARKING IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! They do not have a spot for their customers to park. You either park on the street or pay to park in a lot 2 blocks over.

Hotel is very nice and highly recommend. It’s a little noisy at night, but the hotel does provide ear plugs. It’s conveniently located close to several eating places. Hotel itself doesn’t have a parking area, but the parking garage is close by. Breakfast is phenomenal with great service.

Easy check-in, rooms clean and comfortable, nice gym and outside pool area. Patio was nice in the evenings. Close to good food options. Street parking was easy to find and only $.50/ hr.

Stayed for 6 nights over a long graduation weekend. Have stayed before and will again. Pool area is beautiful, convenient to have a bar on the property, rooms are spacious, clean and super comfortable. Love staying here!

The amenities were incredible the breakfast was lit! Don't even make me to start talking about its location. Can't be better! Gym was ok, could be a bit better. All and all, Amazing hotel!

Parking is a nightmare! Valet had a line of cars waiting so we found a public parking garage. Had to walk with all our luggage to the hotel. Took us about 30 minutes to park. Would not go back!

Easy check in. Good location in popular area with loads of restaurants and pubs. Parking recommendations are the south west garage 2 blocks away. Large clean rooms. Pool and Gym are clean. Bar and restaurant on site are good.

WARNING !!!! Hotel doesn't have unloading zone . had to unload all our luggage in the middle of the street . NO parking available either. had to find parking a few blocks away @ 30$ / night . THAT IS NOT HYATT standard

Very clean new hotel, I will definitely stay here again!!

We stayed here previously without hesitation booked it again. This stay was not as nice. We found the room and surrounding areas not as clean as other visits. We were unable to us the bathroom sink as there was a horrendous bad smell coming from the drain. !!! This was reported but Nothing could be done

We stayed on the sixth floor, the hallway smells like popcorn or feet. The room was not the cleanest. I observed Hair in the corner of the bathrooms. Unless you find street parking, there’s no designated parking. You can valet or park in a garage where it is $30 for overnight and anytime you come and go you have to pay . Walking to the hotel from the garage was scary and the garage was very dirty, it smelled like pee, and there are homeless people lingering around. So parking and walking to the hotel felt very inconvenient. We came here for a work trip, because it is downtown it is really loud outside. It was hard to sleep. Until two in the morning, I was hearing music playing loud downstairs and people screaming in the streets. I also called after my stay to see if I left some clothes. The staff took my number and no one has yet to call me back.

The hotel is newer and located in downtown Gainesville - very much a city - complete with sirens and loud motorcycles throughout the night. While the room was okay, they do not have blackout curtains - instead it is a pull down/rollup shade, which still lets light in. Hard wood floors, easy to see footprints as soon as we walked in. Bathroom floor had "things" on it, do not ask me to guess. The shower had multiple lengths of hair in it....present on arrival. Biggest pet peeves: 1. Parking - no lot for this hotel (think NYC). From a female standpoint not great, numerous homeless on every corner and side street. Options are to park in a free lot some 3 or 4 blocks away, or in the street overnight.....or in the local city lot $30 a night (but only 1 block away). 2.Unloading or loading your car - have to circle multiple times to try and grab one of the 10 parking spots...cars can stay there for 15 minutes only, then must be moved. 3. There is no concierge or valet to help with your bags or the car. I circled literally 6 times to snag one briefly. 4. The hotel has an okay morning breakfast; however there is not a true onsite restaurant. The "Placery" is basically a bar and you could get wings and alcohol - not ideal with children. We had to leave the premise and walk (around the homeless) to find somewhere to grab a bite. On the plus side - Hotel offers free wifi and the ability to cast your device to their TV (so you can use your own Netflix or Hulu, etc. accounts).

The Downtown location is nice in that you can walk to a lot of restaurants and other places - but it is certainly noisy at night. Parking is also a problem. Finding a street location is tough and you have to pay to park in the public lots close by. Hyatt should work out a reimbursement agreement of some kind. We were disappointed when we entered the room and found the carpet dirty - clearly unvacuumed. Housekeeping took care of it and the hotel gave us a couple of drink coupons - but still. Breakfast bar is good but nothing unusual. I guess I've always associated Hyatt with 5 Star Quality and this one was good but not 5 Star.

Property was one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed at. Staff was great and very helpful and polite. Only drawbacks are parking and noise which is to be expected being in the middle of downtown. Overall this experience was great and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable, large rooms, feels brand new. There seems to be quite a bit of amplification of the outside noise. They provide ear plugs.

I want to love this hotel and give it 5 stars but their air conditioning system is a smart system that I don’t like. My room never felt cold. The system turns on randomly but most of the time it’s just not on. I can’t sleep without the AC noise and I had one long sleepless night. This is my second time staying here and same thing happened last time. I don’t think I will be coming back. Everything else is fantastic !

Noisy until 2 am.

Our room was clean and accessible as needed for a mobility-challenged family member. Bed was super comfortable and the room was quiet despite being in a busy urban setting. The valet service was excellent.

Air conditioning in the room looks line broken because the air say 66 but the room was too hot, the quality of the bed too bad , the shower was broken too, my 3 star is for the location and the staff was awesome but the property needs attention

The property is conveniently located near multiple restaurants including a Starbucks right across the street, very convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was great. Very clean and spacious. Will definitely return to this property.

Overall the hotel was great. Its newer and well maintained. The downtown area is great with lots of little shops and restaurants. Try "Relish" if you are looking for a bite to eat! This hotel is within a walkable distance to the stadium although it takes about 40 minutes. The room was super comfortable, however we did not get a good night sleep unfortunately. If you are on the side facing Main street, the noise level is very high until around 3am on the weekends. It was impossible to sleep through even after a really long day. I would stay here again, but would certainly ask for a room on the opposite side of the hotel.

Great place to stay, everything you need with an attentive staff.

Five adults stayed comfortably for one night. Everything was amazing. Amanda at the front desk was especially helpful. She texted to see if everything was ok and we were able to ask for extra towels and our sofa bed to be made while we attended a graduation ceremony. Breakfast was very good. Gym was clean and had a nice view of the pool.

This property is run very well. Just wanted to give the staff the recognition they deserve: top-notch.

The valet took so long in the morning. I had to wait 25 min for my car back.

The staff at the downtown Gainesville Hyatt is hands down the best staff I’ve encountered in any service situation. Kind, helpful, welcoming - they went above and beyond for everyone there at every possible turn. All weekend long, people around town were talking about how great the Hyatt staff was, and it was more than deserved.

This hotel is great, has everything you want for a short stay. The staff was fantastic - best part of the whole experience!

TERRIBLE PROPERTY. We booked our stay here for our wedding weekend months in advance through Expedia. We were able to secure a group rate for our guests closer to our wedding date, so we (the bride and groom and bridal party) weren’t able to secure the group rate since we booked far in advance on Expedia before the group rate was secured. We understood the hotel couldn’t honor the group rate as we booked through a third party service. However, when we asked if they would honor the complimentary valet parking we were met with unprofessionalism. We were told by their staff that they would “make a call” and they quickly came back and said “yeah, we can’t do that. We can give you $10/night though.” This was in addition to someone in my bridal party’s room being overbooked and being told they had to get a new room. And they had a newborn. They clearly DO NOT care about you and your needs. They just want you $$. Terrible place to stay if you want good customer service and staff that care. Would absolutely NOT recommend!

Excellent downtown location with plenty of dining options. Parking can be a challenge. Definitely too far to walk to the University.

Ideal location within walking distance of everything you need. Close to UF. Every single member of the staff was just outstanding. The room was clean and quiet (with the help of the white noise machine they provided...:-). The breakfast buffet was really good and they have beautiful balcony on the second floor so you can enjoy your breakfast (or later) a happy hour drink, outdoors. They no longer have valet parking, which was fine by me. There is a garage a block away that you can park for $30 a night or one 3 blocks away for $10 a night. On weekends, street parking is free until Monday at 10 a.m. and, at least on this particular weekend, there were plenty of open spaces right near the hotel. This is my favorite hotel in Gainesville!

Hotel itself is alright. Pretty new and updated and clean but parking isn’t super convenient or close and there are drug-fueled hobos outside that will harass you as you walk to the hotel. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Great location on Main Street. Dining options, bars, and shopping just steps away. Very safe and walkable area. Just 12-15 minutes to I75.

Nice property nice street full of noisy bars n cars until 3am. Bring ear plugs and dont walk more than 2 streets away.

Cozy stay in a great location. Unfortunately the staff isn't trained to handle food allergies at the breakfast buffet. I communicated with staff prior to my stay to notify them of my Celiac disease and asked for accommodations at the breakfast buffet. When I asked a staff member to serve my breakfast from the back kitchen area she informed me that all food was considered contaminated with gluten and unsafe for me to consume. I was very taken aback by this and frustrated that I had no breakfast option during my long stay

We stayed here for a little over two weeks and overall we are very happy with our choice. Priorities were the proximity to UF and the convenience of a spacious room. We appreciated the breakfast selection, which is a bit wider than what we had in other similar 3 star hotels. We would have liked to have a different type of eggs from time to time instead of the same scrambled egg... but again, we stayed here for two weeks. Everybody at the hotel was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank you. We were always late for breakfast and it was nice to see that they didn't rush to remove the breakfast exactly at closing so we had time to grab something to eat. It would have been nice if not only the table tops but also the table edges were regularly cleaned as they were always sticky. An unexpected inconvenience was that there is no parking on site included. You would either have to pay a $30 fee per day or hunt for parking spaces that are limited for two hours near that hotel. They are very affordable, just a bit inconvenient.

The hotel was perfect for a quick overnight for our family. The hotel Breakfast wasn’t great and I guess the cook didn’t come in so several food items missing, but overall the hotel was nice and perfect for our stay

This hotel is awesome. From the moment you step in the hotel to when you exit. Everyone is courteous , all the hotel is super clean and the vibe is above extraordinary. The breakfast is abundant and delicious. I highly recommend it. It won’t disappoint you.
