Great hotel with indoor pool and fabulous restaurant near lobby. Good dining options. Hotel is only 1 yr old and was surprised to see a little rust around shower door by floor. Will definitely be my go-to restaurant in Mattoon

Room size was excellent. Bathroom quite roomy and well-lit. Roomy shower with ledges for my own products. The bed… although seems new, not comfortable. This is in every hotel room now. What has happened to hotel beds? Anyone else having this problem? Otherwise a clean hotel, friendly staff. Excellent area outside to walk a dog with plenty of sidewalks and open spaces for fetch.

Newest hotel in Mattoon to my knowledge. Was very clean and staff was very polite. Room was spacious and loved being able to take my dogs and having a large field to walk them in. Will definitely be staying here again.

Definitely short staffed in bar and restaurant. We have stayed numerous times in the last 2 months and almost every time one person - I believe her name is Jaylene is by herself. She does an amazing job for one person, but she is there late and back in the morning for breakfast. Good thing you have her.

The hotel is beautiful. The room cleaning is awful. The sheets had stains, floors weren’t swept and there was long brown hair on the floor and shower walls in the bathroom.

The hotel room should have been cleaned better. We spoke to the front desk and they did give a credit. The hotel was a bit noisy as well you could hear the neighbors. When we checked in a staff member had her child with her at the desk.

Hotel and manager were great. However, no room cleaning was tough. Four nights and we had overflowing garbage. There for a tournament, we eat in so lots of trash and I'm not leaving it in the hallway. Other than that good stay.

The only thing that is slightly off, is the room bathrooms. They could be cleaner. Hair on the floor and hair in the shower, isnt great to find in a room. The first time we stayed it was perfect, but every time since, that is how we find our bathroom in our room. It is as easy as rinsing down the shower and maybe sweepimg the floors.

Hotel was okay, staff not super welcoming, no breakfast. Didn’t love the design of the room…toilet was right beside the entry door, so if didn’t fully close the large barn door to the bathroom and someone went out or in the door, they could see right in to you doing your business. Also the sink was way out from the edge so had to bend way over the tall sink to use it. The soap /shampoos were installed way over your head in the shower so my arms were exhausted from trying to get the small amount pumped into my hand to use. A/c only partially worked. This room works well if you’re a giant.

Thoughtful and smart room layout and design. Little touches that make the room traveler friendly. Check in and out was easy. Courteous and friendly staff. Only glitch was the room we were originally given was loud with adults and children in the hall, children jumping on furniture by the elevator and unleashed dog with the same party. However, we went back to the front desk and were given a room on another floor.

The staff was very helpful. Technology connectivity was great...several USB ports and outlets. Room temperature was easily adjustable. That said, the facility seemed to be cheaply constructed. While waiting on an elevator, I could literally feel the floor move under me when it arrived. This also happened in my room when someone in the next room walked across their floor or shut their door. Also, the walls in the room seemed to be extremely thin. I could hear almost every word said in the room next to mine. As for cleanliness, there was a live bug on the curtains and smudges everywhere.

Great hotel! The room was really nice and clean. The shower was also great. The only thing was that the refrigerator was not staying cold. The hotel was booked for the night but the front desk was nice to give us free breakfast for our inconvenience. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely be staying here again.

The staff is the star at this location!! Very friendly and helpful, really above and beyond! The hotel was clean! However, the bathroom kept shutting and it is SMALL!! The bedding is pretty cheap too!! They definitely cut some corners when they built this space!

I booked room with two Queen beds for 4 guests. They gave me room with 1 King bed! They told no other rooms are available. I asked how 4 of us are supposed to sleep in one bed and lady was super rude. She said they don’t have any other clean rooms and ask me if I want “to bunk with other people?”…. What an insult and a joke!

Don't like needing to pay for a breakfast not much better than that offered free by most motels. And coffee was situated in a location where a person, who doesn't want breakfast, feels uncomfortable accessing without paying for breakfast.

Charging $10 for what was an average complimentary breakfast shows corporate greed. No notice posted. Didn't know it cost $10 until was almost finished.

This hotel is amazing!! Very clean and spacious rooms and the restaurant, Styx, is excellent! I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Everything was excellent until breakfast. Admittedly it was later when we went down but the selection was non existent, what was available was cold and dry and unkempt. The woman caring for the area was very pleasant and tried to be helpful but couldn’t possibly do all that was needed. When the hotel has such a full booking there should be at least two helping in the dining area. However, I applaud the one you had working for her effort and kindness.

Definitely short staffed in bar and restaurant. We have stayed numerous times in the last 2 months and almost every time one person - I believe her name is Jaylene is by herself. She does an amazing job for one person, but she is there late and back in the morning for breakfast. Good thing you have her.

The shower is always dirty. I’m not sure why they can’t get them clean. The carpet doesn’t appear to be clean and stuff sticks to your feet. The chairs in the room are dirty. Just need to get a vacuum in there and they wouldn’t be gross. Every room I have stayed in so far smells like dog. All of the sheets had stains on them.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Only issues were the toilet not working properly in our room. Would gladly stay here again.

When we checked in there was no one at the desk which required us to wait for several minutes. The bed frame had a piece of it sticking out the side on which my wife cut her leg. The breakfast wasn’t bad, however all they had to drink was coffee or hot tea. They had cereal which meant there had to be milk somewhere. It took a trip to the front desk to ask about it. The desk attendant went to get someone from the kitchen staff who finally brought out a few cartons of milk. The hotel wasn’t bad overall but for the price this was a highly disappointing experience. Would not recommend.
