Beautiful area. Loved the beaches, birds, bikes. Also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and sauna. What a beautiful setting. Watched Great White Egrets fly by as we rested in the Adirondack chairs.

It was a great location for a wonderful weekend getaway. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. As an African American patron of many fine establishments, I never take that for granted. Trust me, it’s a real issue. My only recommendation is, they need more EV car chargers. They were too often occupied or difficult to access.

Absolutely breathtaking. The lodge is incredibly beautiful and the views are so stunning. The staff was top notch, from check in to check out. Rooms were huge. Gym was clean, organized, and filled with great equipment. Steam room, hot tub, and pool were beautiful. Will be back!

Booked a 2 night stay for my wife and I anniversary. We loved the small details. The staff left a note with a complimentary bottle of wine which we enjoyed on our balcony as we saw the sunset over the ocean view. I also booked a surprise massage for my wife with the spa. She was so amazed with the masseuse’s hands she said she’s never had a better massage in her life. We also took advantage of the complimentary bike rentals, the meditation and Pilates classes. One negative I would say is that the on-site restaurant drakes is beyond over-priced. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay!

We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. The hotel facilities, which included a small pool, hot tub, gym, spa and a bocce ball court, overlooking the coast. The quality and tastes of the food was average at best. We enjoyed some “happy hour” snacks and breakfast on-site. Overall, the food was a bit bland and a touch too salty. The view from the restaurants was spectacular nonetheless. Overall, we had a wonderful visit to the area and this facility.

Heater did not work very well, bed was super uncomfortable, water backed up in the shower and toilet seat wouldn't stay up. The worst part was the restaurant. The bill of ocean front dinning with the quality of Applebee's. Imagine no local seafood at a seaside restaurant. This place needs to be on the old Ramsy show where he goes in and reqorks it. Breakfast was somehow worse.

Views are amazing, rooms are very spacious. Some items could be tweaked, rooms smell musky - rooms are by the ocean, found some linens with stains, heater is a bit loud, missing items (umbrella on the first day which we wouldn’t really care but it was downpour when we arrived), towels could be updated and service for insignificant things were inconsistent (sometimes pillow chocolates). Pool area was amazing - hot tub a little small, wooden seating areas with fire pits was nice, tea/coffee in the mornings at the lobby was good quality, some scheduled hotel events mostly around the weekend, only had breakfast once at Drakes food was average coffee way too strong and overpriced. Rooms were clean, patio was a good size. Water in the room everyday. Staff are friendly and polite. Sleep machine was awesome!

I had a wonderful experience at the spa at the lodge in the winter of 2022. I came back to stay this summer, and was really disappointed by the condition of the spa. More importantly, there’s a fog horn not far from the hotel on the isthmus that it looks out onto. Its horn goes off every five seconds. If you are a light sleeper, this will drive you absolutely crazy. The walls in general are quite thin, and they put me in a room directly outside the ice machine. Between the fog horn, the ice machine, and the thin walls, it was really hard to sleep. Not what I was hoping for for the price.

This is a very nice property to stay at. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have great views. My wife and I both heard a faint foghorn at a distance late night/early morning but it did not keep us awake. The restaurant is very nice. The fitness center for a lodge is pretty good. They have cardio and cable machines as well as dumbbells, and kettlebells. The lodge staff is excellent.

We've stayed here a number of times since the late 1980s. Never disappoints. The room we had was recently remodeled. Nice. Finally a hotel that let's you stream your devices to the TV!

Beautiful, relaxing stay in many ways. The location is sublime. Alas the bed was uncomfortably hard- our backs were not happy after two nights. The slider door would not shut fully, but was fixed after one night. We enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

The view from the room was beautiful. The room was very comfortable and easily accessed. We reserved an "accessible" room; however, while the room and entrance were accessible, the room had a bathtub, not a walk-in shower with a drop-down chair, as all other accessible rooms have. This was the only negative but a big one if you have any disability. I would suggest that management correct this or not describe the room as accessible. At the very least, explain that the room has a tube and no sitting accommodations. Short of that a wonderful time and we will stay there again.

We had an extra-special stay here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Everyone from the front desk to the bar & restaurant servers and housekeeping were warm and wonderful and always accommodating. The atmosphere was always calm and relaxing, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We really loved the lodge. The room was wonderful and very clean. I was very disappointed in the restaurant Drake’s. The service was slow with not many options on the menu. They definitely need another bartender at the bar on the weekends. The drinks were great but they took forever to get one. It was busy and that’s why they need to get some help for the one bartender that was working. I felt bad for all the people that bartender had to take care of.

We really loved the lodge. The room was wonderful and very clean. I was very disappointed in the restaurant Drake’s. The service was slow with not many options on the menu. This is definitely not a real resort. There’s little to no amenities. There’s no elevator, no bellhop, nothing really special. I’m not sure why conde nest rated i The best resort in the world. We have stayed at far superior Hilton. It’s a nice 4 star hotel but the 2 restaurants on premise are terrible. Overly priced and mediocre. Service was the wordy though. Took 40 minutes to get a beer. Cooked a medium hamburger raw. If you are absolutely going to bodega Bay, this is one of the nicer hotels, but this is definitely not a top-tier hotel. Staff doesn’t greet you.

They advertise on Expedia as being able to provide stow-aways. That\'s why I booked and drove an hour up north to the location. It was my two kids, myself and my mother. The room had two Queen beds and I needed a sofa/stow-away, SOMETHING for my mother or I. I was met by an unkempt employee at check-in who even though polite could not care less and told me I couldn\'t get any extra bed due to "fire hazard". I did not receive one even though advertised as being available. But to add insult to injury the clerk was as uncaring as you can get and kept telling me the only option was to get a $1,000 executive suite. I asked repeatedly if there was anything available, a room with two King beds at least or something to sleep on. But NO!. So I ended up sleeping on the floor on a few pillows under me. You can imagine how well I slept and how bad I felt the next day. This at a 4 star resort! Any place with a sense of customer-service would do something to help a customer, let alone a place that charges $400 a night.

Everything was perfectl. I left my sunglasses in the bar area, but didn’t realize it until we were checking out the next morning. This was our first visit to The Lodge at Bodega Bay, though it was not our first time in the area. We've never stayed in Bodega Bay before, and this place looked amazing. We found out upon arrival it was even better than we had hoped! The property itself is very well-situated, though beware that Bodega Bay is a bit remote and does not have great mobile service. The Lodge is adjacent to a bird sanctuary, and there is easy access to hiking from the property. If you enjoy wildlife, this is a great place to relax and watch. The dining room at Drake's overlooks the sanctuary and ocean, and we enjoyed our meals there. The lounge is also a great spot

The setting above Bodega Bay is beautiful, and while the winds and rain outside were blowing, our room was cozy, warm, and quiet. Our gourmet dinner was just down the hill, and the sun sparkled over the water the next morning.

This was a beautiful place to stay for a couple nights of rest and relaxation. We enjoyed the view and the happy hour with fire pits. For some reason when we checked in, they put us in a handicapped accessible room so we had to pay extra to get a room with the view. That was a bit disappointing as this was our anniversary trip. Also, the heat in our room, never worked. The room never got above 63° so we were pretty cold. Paragraph the restaurant on site was very disappointing. The food was not what I would expect from a resort of this caliber. The location was great and we were able to drive and visit nearby places.

We really loved the lodge. The room was wonderful and very clean. I was very disappointed in the restaurant Drake’s. The service was slow with not many options on the menu. They definitely need another bartender at the bar on the weekends. The drinks were great but they took forever to get one. It was busy and that’s why they need to get some help for the one bartender that was working. I felt bad for all the people that bartender had to take care of.

Heater did not work very well, bed was super uncomfortable, water backed up in the shower and toilet seat wouldn't stay up. The worst part was the restaurant. The bill of ocean front dinning with the quality of Applebee's. Imagine no local seafood at a seaside restaurant. This place needs to be on the old Ramsy show where he goes in and reqorks it. Breakfast was somehow worse.

Some properties just know hospitality to their core. This is one of them. The technicalities like pre check in were well attended. The room (2nd floor) had an incredible view. The amenities in the room incomparable. The dining options were first rate. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom fabulous.

The hotel staff was super attentive and made the stay very enjoyable. We did think it was a little odd that when we put our robes on the floor along with the used towels, that the cleaning crew just hung them back up. Also the views are really nice and the space is pretty quiet.

I am extremely particular about cleanliness and odors. The room was extremely clean and there was no mildew odor which I thought might happen since the room was close to water. The staff was so helpful telling us what was available - hikes, night time s’mores, restaurant and parking pass to use for all the county parks. Every staff member especially in the dining room were extremely polite, efficient and nice.

Definitely everything you’d expect from a place close to the ocean was very nice to get away and the place was great. I will definitely be coming again soon the room, staff and property were some of the best out there you won’t regret going here
