Situated near Place Bellevour in Lyon. Hotel situated on First floor and above. We had a a baroque decorated room. Lot of space and great bathroom. The decoration in this hotel is amazing. From the old pictures of Lyon to the deco in the breakfast room. So nice. Good breakfast home made food. Its missing fresh fruit on the breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed 1 night but will stay again for sure.

If you are visiting Lyon, we would thoroughly recommend this super hotel. Everywhere is so different from the usual 'hotel are us' type of hotels you find worldwide. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Location is very central immediately beside Bellecour Square, so good access to the parts of the city you may wish to explore. Only downsides I can think of is that there is no elevator that reaches the ground floor. Access is by a remotely operated locked door but you have to climb one flight of stairs, with any luggage you may have, before reaching reception on the 1st floor. From there, you do have an elevator to take you to most of the rooms. Breakfast was a delight - food was excellent and the breakfast room is just lovely. Once again, would recommend and will return on any future visit to Lyon.

No ac so had to keep windows open but it is a very busy noisy street so difficult to sleep easily if room is on the Main Street. Perhaps a fan ? We loved the Time Machine quality of the room which was unique and fun and yet still fully comfortable and clean. We were a bit skeptical given the nature of the Entrance -but it is lovely once you enter and understand the unesco heritage.

I absolutely loved Hotel Bayard. It is a very unique and charming boutique hotel with exquisite, old world style. I had a private bathroom (including the toilet). The entry to get to the reception area is unique and charming, as well. But, you must walk up a full flight of stairs with your bags to get to the registration/reception area. The windows open to let fresh air in. The air conditioning was not as strong as I would prefer, but that seems common in France. I had a great experience at Hotel Bayard.

une belle immersion dans le passé, éléments de qualités , confortables et très bien situé…belle découverte. le seul bémol est de n’avoir pas pu pas commander une bouteille de vin à l’accueil et le petit déjeuner en chambre un peu lège ( pas de salé) . Une jolie vu sur la ville et parfaitement isolée du bruit extérieur…

Hotel Bayard Bellecour is full of character and spotlessly clean. The quietly efficient staff were welcoming and friendly. The buffet breakfast was delicious, plentiful and served in a beautiful room. The hotel is perfectly situated (very central so most sights are walkable) with a metro station very close. If you like shiny-floored, soulless, corporate hotels - don't stay here. If you want to stay somewhere a bit different and full of quiet charm, I recommend this beautiful hotel!

The staff here is amazing! They are so kind and helpful. Also, the hotel is perfectly situated. It is across from a wonderful plaza, steps from the metro, steps from quality shopping including the arts and antique district and centrally located to make walking anywhere you would want to go, just a few minutes away. The rooms are adorable and I loved the attention to detail. I am one who usually likes to try different places when I visit a city but next time I come to Lyon, I will definitely stay here again. It could not be more perfect!

This is a fabulous hotel. Our room had fantastic views over the main square (Bellecour) and across to Fourviere hill with the cathedral. Metro station, shops and many places to dine close by. Has amazing decor and wonderfully comfortable beds. Our room had a standalone bath and a TV that you could hide from view. A great option for exploring an exciting city.

This hotel is fantastic. My girlfriend and I stayed here during her birthday and the hospitality was among the best of any of the hotels in the world we have stayed at. Wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. Perfect location in the middle of town walking distance to everything and otherwise close to transit. The hotel is furnished with lovely antiques. Make sure you have the breakfast! The breakfast area is lovely with a large selection of homemade treats as well as all the usual breakfast items. Not to be missed! We loved our stay here!

Hotel Bayard Bellecour is full of character and spotlessly clean. The quietly efficient staff were welcoming and friendly. The buffet breakfast was delicious, plentiful and served in a beautiful room. The hotel is perfectly situated (very central so most sights are walkable) with a metro station very close. If you like shiny-floored, soulless, corporate hotels - don't stay here. If you want to stay somewhere a bit different and full of quiet charm, I recommend this beautiful hotel!

The staff here is amazing! They are so kind and helpful. Also, the hotel is perfectly situated. It is across from a wonderful plaza, steps from the metro, steps from quality shopping including the arts and antique district and centrally located to make walking anywhere you would want to go, just a few minutes away. The rooms are adorable and I loved the attention to detail. I am one who usually likes to try different places when I visit a city but next time I come to Lyon, I will definitely stay here again. It could not be more perfect!

Harika bir konumda bulunan bu hoteli çok beğendik. İçerisi müze gibi antika eşyalarla dolu. Oda güzel dekore edilmiş tertemiz, geniş ve ferah. Banyo kısmı odanın içerisinde perdeyle ayrılmış bir küvet. Kahvaltı salonu şahane antikalarla dolu ve çok şirin. Çok lezzetli seçenekler var.

The Hotel Bayard Bellecour is a lovely, well appointed hotel that is so convenient to everything you want to see in Lyon. The front desk clerk was so charming, pleasant and helpful. The room was elegant however a bit dark. It transports you to an earlier, more elegant time. There is a rotary dial that still works, crystal glasses and small touches. The breakfast was pricey but lovely. Lots of different cakes, breads and selection of yogurts, fruit, cheese and sliced meats.

Situated near Place Bellevour in Lyon. Hotel situated on First floor and above. We had a a baroque decorated room. Lot of space and great bathroom. The decoration in this hotel is amazing. From the old pictures of Lyon to the deco in the breakfast room. So nice. Good breakfast home made food. Its missing fresh fruit on the breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed 1 night but will stay again for sure.

une belle immersion dans le passé, éléments de qualités , confortables et très bien situé…belle découverte. le seul bémol est de n’avoir pas pu pas commander une bouteille de vin à l’accueil et le petit déjeuner en chambre un peu lège ( pas de salé) . Une jolie vu sur la ville et parfaitement isolée du bruit extérieur…

We loved this hotel. We had a beautiful, large and comfortable room. Great breakfast offered. Location was perfect and right near the Bellecour Metro station. Tons of great restaurants and shopping close by. We highly recommend this hotel.

I ended checking out early after one night as the room that was assigned to me did not have a shower, only an old claw foot tub, which was not easy to get into. Also the bedroom was at the top of a very narrow stairwell and the room was not easy to navigate because of a low ceiling beam. Bathroom sink, which was next to the bed would not drain easily. Not a great experience. My 5 night stay was non-refundable, but I could not stay there and there were not any other rooms available.

Just loved the USP of this place, made the stay just that little bit better, rooms and hotel were beautifully decorated like a moment out of time. Beds super comfy and great to have that bath in the room. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had great service staff were welcoming , friendly and helpful. Breakfast perfectly in time with the ethos of the place and super tasty too. Highly recommend and if ever in Lyon again will be coming back.
