We had an amazing time. The room was very cozy and I loved that you can get a s'mores box and use one of the fire pits to roast marshmallows. The place is so close to the beach and they provided a blanket to sit on out there. We enjoyed taking the 5 min drive to Seaside to check out the shops and such where it's busier but being able to sleep somewhere quiet and quaint. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The only qualm I have is that check-in is at 4 but they close the office at 6. I think staying open just one extra hour would be helpful. I found this stay from a tiktok @abbymariedonnelly posted on 9/20/22. We would definitely stay again, thank you for having us!

We only stayed 2 nights at Drifthaven but my wife and I loved it. The room was homey and clean. Staff drop off a basket of fruit, juice, and pastries every morning. We arrived quite late but check-in was easy and convenient with everything handled via email. We appreciated that there was parking right outside the room. The property has a nice little garden area where can sit and enjoy the evening. All in all great places to stay, highly recommend.

We recently stayed here for a few nights with our grandchildren. We stayed in Cottage 11. We loved having access to the garage full of beach toys, chairs, BBQ, picnic tables and fire pits for s’mores! We enjoyed a delicious welcome cocktail after arrival. So thoughtful. What put this place over the top for us was the beautiful breakfast basket delivered to our door every morning. This will definitely be our forever stay when in Gearhart. Thank you!

Very nice place. Well taken care of property. Perfect place for a romantic adult weekend. Great open space with firepits and BBQ in the grass common area with lawn games and tables. Breakfast delivery daily to your door and a happy hour for drinks in the bar area in the common area

Lovely feel to each apartment. Small but adorable. Excellent service including a welcome cocktail and a continental breakfast. Bikes and beach chairs are included and the back yard is lovely. We will be back!

Cutest little old motor court type motel. Completely remodel with a small kitchen. Check in was easy, staff we encountered were really friendly. Great location, away from the hustle in Seaside but close enough to quickly drive there for restaurants and shops. Walking distance to beach. This place is truly a gem. We will make this our go to place when visiting the North Coast. Dog friendly with a great yard space. Lawn games and firepits.

Super cute cottages that were very well appointed. Comfortable bed, a thermostat driven gas fireplace for heat and a retro feel made this feel special. We were greeted by the host with a hot buttered rum and the next morning breakfast baskets were brought to the room. Highly recommend! It was too cold for us to enjoy the garden space but there were picnic tables, and enclosed bubble sitting area and lounge chairs. Just 30 mins from Astoria; we're so glad we found this little gem of a place.

This lace was great, the service was amazing. Having the option to take a bike or have a bonfire with no extra charge is a great idea. We are going to come back, but next time we are going to bring the dogs.

We had a delightful stay at The Drifhaven! The room was well dressed, making it comfortable, homey and welcoming. The mattress and bedding were amazing. Everything you might need is provided! The grounds were well kept and the fire pits were fun. Delicious homemade smore's! We were able to walk to the beach and local shops. Would definitely stay here again!

Very pet friendly, quaint, quiet place to stay. Close to beaches, coffee shop. Felt so safe and it’s a short drive to busier places like seaside or cannon beach. Very clean and organized. Highly recommend!!!

The decor and overall concept are really cute, and the space felt cozy, which I appreciated. That said, there’s definitely room for improvement. The unit we stayed in had an unpleasant odor, the shower pressure was weak, and the bathroom was a bit cramped—with some visible mold on the shower curtain, which wasn’t ideal. The mattress wasn’t firm enough for me, and the ceiling fan didn’t work, which made it hard to get proper air circulation. With a few updates, this could be a much more comfortable stay.

It was hard to find space to put things-clothes to put on after a shower, toiletries. The bed was too soft. I now have sore back muscles. It was a cute room. I’m just a big guy.

The first room (#3) felt small due to size of bed. Could hear the family next door so requested to be moved, which they were able to do. Beds and seating in both were not that comfortable (low to the ground, didn’t support our backs). Kitchen no longer has oven. French press and water pot for coffee. Fridge pretty full of items they were selling so left little room for the items we bought for meals. Breakfast is continental only. Welcome drink was delicious,,

This is exactly what I was looking for. I am lucky to do a solo "mom/artist retreat" each year. The space offered a well stocked kitchen for cold foods and separate areas for the activities I wanted to do. You walk in to a gas burning stove (that IS the heat source and attached to thermostat), music and mood lighting. Great welcome! I can see why for some people it would not be ideal with steps, lower bed, smaller kitchen table. But for me it was perfect. Plus I loved the aesthetic. Wish there a very brief PRINTED overview of rules/expectations. I.E. How to turn down heat, when breakfast comes, how to request items, etc. The one big thing I really missed was a bath tub or soaking tub. That would have made the trip complete.

Extremely tiny room with micro furniture. Recently remodeled. Bed was very low and extremely soft. The pilot on the gas stove in the room wouldn’t turn off and the interior temp was 79 degrees with all of the windows open. Extremely overpriced at more than $2/sqrt ft per night. Worst value ever!

The Drifthaven was one of our favorite places to stay! Check in was quick and simple. The room was so cute and the bed was soft and comfy. There were board games and cards around the room that kept us entertained throughout the night. They knew we were bringing our dog, so they provided dog bowls, a blanket, a towel and a treat for our dog! That was a thoughtful touch! Breakfast each morning was provided in a woven basket, and it was a wonderful thing to wake up to and a great start to the day. The property is well kept and the staff is friendly and welcoming! We will definitely be coming back here

We only stayed 2 nights at Drifthaven but my wife and I loved it. The room was homey and clean. Staff drop off a basket of fruit, juice, and pastries every morning. We arrived quite late but check-in was easy and convenient with everything handled via email. We appreciated that there was parking right outside the room. The property has a nice little garden area where can sit and enjoy the evening. All in all great places to stay, highly recommend.

The stay, the service and the room were excellent. One BIG concern though, every window in the place was unlocked and we did not discover this until the second day. This was very disconcerting as 90% of the windows are at ground level. Please, please, please urge your staff to lock the windows after cleaning the space.

This lace was great, the service was amazing. Having the option to take a bike or have a bonfire with no extra charge is a great idea. We are going to come back, but next time we are going to bring the dogs.

Drifthaven is undeniably charming: beautifully designed, cozy, and nestled in a peaceful part of Gearhart. I really wanted to love this place. Unfortunately, my stay ended with a serious injury due to a safety issue in the room that I feel compelled to share. On the last morning of my stay, around 4am, I went downstairs to use the restroom. The stairs inside the room are not lit, and the banister ends on the second-to-last step, which makes it deceptive to navigate in low light. Because of the banister situation, I missed the final step, tripped, and fell hard, so badly that I could barely walk and had to go to Urgent Care that morning. My spouse had to drive out from Portland and pick me up, and I had to cut my trip short and cancel a work conference commitment due to the injury. I informed staff immediately, and they said they’d notify the manager and follow up. I never heard back. I also submitted feedback via email the day after I left, still nothing. Between the medical bills, the disruption to my work, and the lack of response, I’m really disappointed. I’m sharing this in hopes that management will take this seriously. Installing small lights along the stairs would be a simple fix that could prevent future accidents. I expected more attentiveness from a place that clearly puts so much care into its aesthetic and I am disappointed. I would love to stay here again, but would like the safety lights installed and for the customer service to improve first.

We had an amazing time. The room was very cozy and I loved that you can get a s'mores box and use one of the fire pits to roast marshmallows. The place is so close to the beach and they provided a blanket to sit on out there. We enjoyed taking the 5 min drive to Seaside to check out the shops and such where it's busier but being able to sleep somewhere quiet and quaint. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The only qualm I have is that check-in is at 4 but they close the office at 6. I think staying open just one extra hour would be helpful. I found this stay from a tiktok @abbymariedonnelly posted on 9/20/22. We would definitely stay again, thank you for having us!

The Drifthaven is a gem! The town was very sleepy during our two night stay, very quiet. Great location between Astoria and Seaside. We had a well stocked and well priced minifridge and snack bar, and were delighted with the morning breakfast baskets that were provided. Will recommend, and hope to stay again in the future.

Cutest little old motor court type motel. Completely remodel with a small kitchen. Check in was easy, staff we encountered were really friendly. Great location, away from the hustle in Seaside but close enough to quickly drive there for restaurants and shops. Walking distance to beach. This place is truly a gem. We will make this our go to place when visiting the North Coast. Dog friendly with a great yard space. Lawn games and firepits.

We loved the creative ambiance of Drifthaven…lovely attention to details that matter…comfy bed…squishable pillows and crisp white sheets..Lullabye tea at bedtime! loved the wonderful restaurant across the street…more attention to detail… plus their absolutely fabulously yummy scones and croissants from the bakery the morning we left…going to Drifthaven is a treat for the soul.

We thought the nightly rental rate was high relative to the size of our room and the amenities offered. The breakfast was really thin; the juice and fresh fruit was fine but the coffee cake(s) were quite small and both seemed dry and of modest quality. Fresh pastry and coffee from the bakery across the street would have been a big improvement.

We recently stayed here for a few nights with our grandchildren. We stayed in Cottage 11. We loved having access to the garage full of beach toys, chairs, BBQ, picnic tables and fire pits for s’mores! We enjoyed a delicious welcome cocktail after arrival. So thoughtful. What put this place over the top for us was the beautiful breakfast basket delivered to our door every morning. This will definitely be our forever stay when in Gearhart. Thank you!

The first room (#3) felt small due to size of bed. Could hear the family next door so requested to be moved, which they were able to do. Beds and seating in both were not that comfortable (low to the ground, didn’t support our backs). Kitchen no longer has oven. French press and water pot for coffee. Fridge pretty full of items they were selling so left little room for the items we bought for meals. Breakfast is continental only. Welcome drink was delicious,,

Very friendly staff, excellent daily breakfast, great location (across the street from a wonderful restaurant, Raven, and a very popular bakery, walking distance to cute shops and the ocean, and McMenamins with its golf course). Cozy one bedroom with living area, kitchen and bathroom. Only caveat for some people-the bedroom is up a flight of stairs from the bathroom so trips in the night must be done with care.

If you get the townhouse above the garage, good luck getting your sleep in in the morning as people are coming in, getting stuff out and the noises will be coming right from beneath you bedroom. These rooms are essentially townhouses, sharing the same wall; so if your neighbors are up in their living rooms, having conversations or partying, you will hear it all because the wall is basically paper thin. The housekeeping thing that other customers mentioned is indeed frustrating. With the rate that we paid ($450/night), we expect at least a towels change but that didn't happen. We were surprised at how unprofessional that was because when we left for our day of exploring the town, we had specifically asked to have the room kept and turned over, got an "okay, we will put you on the schedule", just to come back with the exact same room before we left. Luckily we had saved 2 clean towels to use; otherwise, it would have been an even more unfortunate situation. The facility is nice and all but with the rate that we paid; the so-called "gourmet" breakfast basket with store-bought muffins and sugary cheap juice, and some fruits are definitely not worth it. I would suggest looking for other establishments around the area and think carefully before deciding to stay here.
